US has a 22-point lead on Lithuania at halftime. It's on NBATV (which I don't have, I got the score off NBA.com).

OK, here's my 90's list. I tried to stick to a 400-game minimum, but I ended up making a few exceptions, which I'm sure you'll notice. 1. Michael Jordan 2. Hakeem Olajuwon 3. Charles Barkley 4. David Robinson 5. Karl Malone 6. Scottie Pippen 7. John Stockton 8. Patrick Ewing 9. Shaquille O'Neal 10. Clyde Drexler 11. Dominique Wilkins 12. Alonzo Mourning 13. Reggie Miller 14. Kevin Johnson 15. Tim Hardaway 16. Gary Payton 17. Mitch Richmond 18. Grant Hill 19. Dikembe Mutombo 20. Shawn Kemp 21. Anfernee Hardaway 22. Dennis Rodman 23. Chris Webber 24. Rod Strickland 25. Jason Kidd next 10 Glen Rice Latrell Sprewell Chris Mullin Derrick Coleman Joe Dumars Detlef Schrempf Mark Price Mookie Blaylock Mark Jackson Vin Baker On this list, I could really take the players' peaks into consideration, whereas on the 2000 list, many of them may have not yet reached theirs. Basically, I felt that Price and Blaylock had great peaks, but Strickland's was more impressive. Truly a travesty that this guy never made an All-Star team. Mullin I left off because he really only had about 3 1/2 years at an elite level in the decade before the injuries began. Dumars would probably be "25a" if I made that option. I ended up going with Kidd because his all-around game was far more impressive. Webber was one that I was pretty generous with in terms of games played and being injured, but you can't really argue with the numbers he put up.

Eddie House has agreed to a one-year deal with the Nets.

Still only 5 guys for the Rumble...I'd like to have at least 15, preferably big-name guys, but I'll probably end up settling for anyone.

I was just watching SummerSlam '90, and noticed that the Boss Man had a shiner when he went out to be in Hogan's corner. I went back and looked, and I didn't notice it on him when he was the referee for Jake/Bad News. Any word on how this happened? Did he catch a good one from BNB while he was getting hammered? Or was it there the whole time and I just didn't get a good enough look at him.

What a matchup it would be if the Lithuanians win this match, between Steponas Juozapas and Ken Pantera! Steponas backs into the ropes, and attempts an elbowdrop, but Benjamin rolls out of the way! Benjamin grabs Steponas and delivers a headbutt, but it has no effect! TONY And again, Steponas absorbing those shots to the head, just like in the match against Egypt! Steponas returns fire with a headbutt of his own, sending Benjamin to the mat. He then picks up Benjamin in a slam, and delivers a backbreaker! He then picks up Benjamin and whips him into a corner. Steponas charges, but gets met with feet to the face! Steponas goes down to his knees, as Benjamin hops to the second rope, and hops off with a sunset flip! 1... 2... Kickout! A groggy Steponas tags Tomas back in, and Benjamin makes a tag, as well! A slugfest develops briefly, then Moss grabs a side headlock. Tomas pushes him into the ropes, then drops down. Moss hops over, and Steponas catches him with a knee to the back! The crowd is displeased with this. JESSE Beautiful move by Steponas! TONY And the Lithuanians once again with the advantage! JESSE And now we see the Lithuanians making quick tags! It's little things like this that got all four of these teams to this show tonight! Tomas picks up Benjamin, and executes a SLEEPERHOLD DROP~! Cover... 1... 2... Kickout! Steponas tags right back in, and lifts Benjamin up in a bearhug! TONY And a big bearhug by Steponas now! Benjamin struggles, but Steponas squeezes, causing Benjamin to fade slowly. The crowd starts to get behind him. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! JESSE And the USA chants once again, trying to keep Quentin Benjamin in this match! The referee checks the arm... ONE!!! TWO!!! JESSE One more drop, and the Lithuanians will meet the Canadians! But Benjamin holds through, and delivers a right hand! A second! A third! However, Steponas delivers a knee to the gut, then tosses Benjamin down to the mat and tags Tomas back in. Tomas executes a DDT, then goes to the top rope. TONY Tomas going upstairs now... Tomas goes for a big splash...but Benjamin gets the knees up! JESSE And now Benjamin has got to tag! Benjamin crawls to his corner, as Steponas steps into the ring, and MAKES THE TAG! JESSE Tag made! TONY And Charlie Moss has had a long time to rest! However, the referee forces Moss out of the ring! TONY What's going on? JESSE Apparently the referee didn't see it! TONY Apparently he was distracted by Steponas stepping in, and now we got a double team going on! The Lithuanians shoot Benjamin into the ropes, and catch him with a double elbow! Tomas covers... 1... 2... NO! Shoulder up! TONY But Quentin Benjamin still hanging in there! Steponas tags in, and delivers a standing tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Cover... 1... 2... But Moss grabs the foot and pulls him off! TONY Moss with a save that time, though! Tomas tags back in, and grabs a rear waistlock. Benjamin switches, and executes a bridging German suplex! 1... 2... NO!!! Tomas kicks out! JESSE WOW, and Benjamin almost pulled a rabbit out of his hat with that move! Benjamin is still hurt, however, and Tomas makes a tag to Steponas, who goes to grab Benjamin. However, Benjamin rolls to his back, and kicks his feet up, catching Steponas right under the chin! TONY Oh, what a shot right there! Steponas is staggered briefly, but goes right back after Benjamin, who crawls through his legs, and TAGS MOSS! TONY TAG MADE, and the referee saw it that time! Moss sends kicks to the midsection of Steponas, then backs into the ropes and comes off with a BIG flying shoulderblock! Steponas goes down, and rolls to the outside, as Tomas tags him on the way out. He comes in and jumps Moss from behind, then attempts an Irish whip. Moss holds onto the arm and twists around, then executes the STO BACKBREAKER~! TONY And that move usually sets up the submission, which he calls the MOSSY KNOLL~!!! Moss grabs the legs, and hooks the hold! JESSE He's got it hooked! The crowd is going crazy, as Steponas is just now getting to his feet on the outside! Steponas gains his senses, then sees the hold on, and slides in and breaks it up from behind! JESSE I'll tell you what, give Vincentas credit right there! I don't think I've seen anyone hold on that long! TONY Yes indeed, tremendous resilience being shown by both of these great teams! Moss makes a tag to Benjamin, who climbs to the top rope, and goes for a flying bodypress! However, Steponas catches him, and drops forward to the mat! Benjamin rolls to the outside, as Steponas grabs Moss, and picks him up in a fireman's carry as Tomas goes to the top rope. Benjamin slowly makes his way around the ring, and trips Tomas up! TONY The Lithuanians were setting something up, but Benjamin breaking it up! JESSE And Steponas has his back to it all! Benjamin climbs to the top rope from the outside, then steps over the ropes and hooks Tomas...then steps up onto Moss's back, still on Steponas' shoulders! TONY Oh my goodness... It'll be the United States vs Canada in the finals later tonight! TONY Absolutely, the match we've all been anticipating since this tournament started, congratulations to both of these great teams, but it's Team Heyross, Team USA, that advances to the finals to take on the Canadians! COLE Folks, coming up is our first semifinal match in the Tag Team World Cup tournament. It's going to be the Canadian team taking on the Jamaicans, in sort of a David-meets-Goliath matchup! The Jamaicans were the seventh seed in the European bracket, but scored victories over Italy, Denmark, and finally France in order to qualify for this show and the Final Four! A prediction, Coach? COACH I gotta go with the Canadians, Cole, I just think they're too good to be surprised by this Jamaican team. The clock will strike midnight tonight! COLE With that, let's go to our announcers for the World Cup matches, Tony Schiavone and Jesse "the Body" Ventura! *Camera pans over to the next table to Tony and Jesse.* TONY OK, thank you Michael, and Coach, we're set for some great tag team action, Jess! JESSE Absolutely, both these teams have very similar styles, you've got a high-flyer and a power wrestler on each side! I give the edge to the Canadians, I think they have more wrestling ability, and Ken Pantera is just too powerful, even for Reggie, the power man of the Jamaicans! TONY The waiting is over, let's go up to Michael Buffer for the introductions! Master Blaster (Jammin') hits, and the Jamaicans are greeted warmly by the Miami crowd. BUFFER The following is a semifinal match in the Tag Team World Cup tournament! It is scheduled for one fall, with a one-hour time limit. Introducing the first team, they represent Jamaica, hailing from Montego Bay, at a combined weight of 479 pounds. They won the European bracket, as the number 7 seed...introuducing first...DENNNNNNNNNNZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSPENNNNNCCCCEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! *Spencer gets a nice pop as he raises his arms in the air.* And his tag team partner...RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREGGIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE E LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAMMMONT!!!!! *Reggie waves to the crowd as he steps into the ring.* Team Jamaica poses on the buckles, then loosens up as Tom Sawyer plays and the Canadians come through the curtains, getting a noticeably mixed reaction. BUFFER Their opponents...at a total combined weight of 485 pounds, they are the number 1 ranked team in this entire tournament! First, hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario..."AFTER HOURS" FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFELIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RR!!!!! *Strutter holds his hands up in the air, then climbs into the ring.* And his tag team partner, hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan...KENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTERAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Pantera climbs in and stretches on the ropes as Strutter poses on the buckles. Strutter hops down, and he and Pantera meet the Jamaicans in mid-ring. The teams exchange handshakes, then go back to their corners. Pantera and Reggie step out, leaving Denzel in the ring with Strutter. *DING DING DING* Denzel and Strutter circle the ring, and tie up. Strutter quickly takes Denzel across the ring with an armdrag, and Denzel sizes him up briefly from the mat before going in again. Strutter ducks in and delivers a knee to the gut, then backs Denzel into a corner and fires off right hands. Strutter brings Denzel out, and delivers a snap suplex! TONY And the Canadians with the advantage early... JESSE He's making a mistake right now, though! Strutter goes up to the top rope, and is caught by Denzel, who tosses him down to the mat! JESSE Too early to attempt that kind of move! Denzel whips Strutter into the ropes. Strutter ducks a clothesline, but gets caught coming back with a monkey flip! Denzel fires off rights, then whips Strutter in once again, catching him this time with a flying double chop! Denzel then goes quickly to the top, and catches Strutter with a missile dropkick, sending him rolling to the outside! TONY And Denzel Spencer looking great so far! Strutter walks around to his corner, and rolls back inside. He confers with Pantera, then goes to meet Denzel again. They tie up, and Strutter gets backed into the wrong corner, where a tag is made. TONY First tag of the match, and it's Reggie Lamont in for the Jamaicans! Denzel and Reggie both wring an arm, then wring it back, then send Strutter to the mat with a double knife-edge! Strutter backs into his corner, but decides to stay in once again. JESSE I'd be thinking about making a tag right now if I was Felix Strutter, he's taken some tremendous punishment already! Reggie and Strutter tie up, and Strutter grabs a side headlock. Reggie pushes him off into the ropes, and shoulderchecks him to the mat. Reggie then backs into the ropes, as Strutter flips over and Reggie hops over. Strutter tries to catch Reggie with a slam, but Reggie slips behind the back, and catches Strutter with a BIG axe kick! TONY And a great kick by Strutter sends him to the mat once again! Strutter holds his jaw in his corner, and finally reaches up and tags in Pantera. JESSE And now the power man of the team, Ken Pantera! Let's see the Jamaicans handle this guy like that! Pantera slowly steps through the ropes and sizes up Reggie. They circle the ring, and tie up. Pantera pushes Reggie off into the ropes, then does the "most muscular" pose. JESSE Haha! TONY And Reggie himself goes in at over 250 pounds! Reggie moves in, and ties up once again. Pantera easily backs him into a corner, and starts firing off forearm blows to the chest. The lack of a clean break draws some boos from fans, as Pantera backs out, then charges, but finds nobody home! Pantera turns around and is sent to the mat by a bicycle kick from Reggie! TONY Another nice kick by Reggie, that's one of the staples of the Jamaican team, those educated feet! Pantera slowly gets to his feet in a neutral corner, then comes out for a tieup. Pantera goes behind, and takes Reggie up in the air and down to the mat with a waistlock. He then releases and hooks Reggie's arm behind him. Reggie gets to his feet, then goes behind and grabs Pantera's arm. Pantera reverses and takes him down with a drop toehold, then tries to go to a side headlock, but Reggie dodges it and grabs the arm once again. Pantera gets to his feet, then reaches back and goes to the eyes, and tags out to Strutter. JESSE Haha, there we go! TONY Fans not liking that move, but it got him out of the hold! Strutter is immediately caught in an armdrag by Reggie! Reggie stands on his feet and bars the arm, then Strutter gets to his own feet. Reggie changes to a wristlock, which allows Strutter to run to the corner, jump to the top, and jump down, taking Reggie across the ring! Strutter grabs Reggie and whips him into the ropes, but Reggie ducks a clothesline and catches Strutter with a high knee! Reggie backs Strutter into the ropes, where Pantera blind tags himself in. Strutter reverses an Irish whip, and Reggie hops over him, but runs right into a bearhug from Pantera! JESSE Nice teamwork that time by the Canadians! Pantera carries Reggie into a corner and hammers away, then moves out of the way as Strutter charges, but finds no one home! Strutter staggers out beside Pantera, and Denzel flies into the ring with a bodypress! TONY Out of nowhere, it's Denzel with a flying bodypress! JESSE Was there a tag made? TONY Obviously not, as Reggie was in an opposite corner of the ring, but the referee now telling Denzel to clear the ring... And as he does, Reggie catches Strutter in a reverse sunset flip, but Strutter pushes him off right into a BIG clothesline from Pantera! JESSE Wow, and Pantera nearly decapitating Reggie Lamont with that clothesline! Pantera steps out, and Strutter springs to the second rope, and comes off with a moonsault! JESSE Where's the referee? The referee comes around... 1... 2... Kickout! Strutter picks up Reggie, and wrings his arm, then sticks his head underneath, and executes a Northern Lights suplex! 1... 2... Kickout! Strutter tags in Pantera, who picks up Reggie over his shoulder, then drops down for a backbreaker! Pantera then rolls Reggie over to the Canadian corner, and tags Strutter right back in. Strutter springs in with a guillotine legdrop! Cover... 1... 2... Kickout! JESSE And the Canadian team going for quick covers! Smart on their part! Strutter plants Reggie with a double-arm DDT, then tags Pantera once again. Pantera sets up a suplex, but Reggie goes for a small package! 1... 2... Kickout! Pantera quickly hammers on Reggie, then executes a trapped-arm belly-to-belly! Cover... 1... 2... Shoulder up! Strutter is tagged back in, and backs Reggie into a corner. Strutter delivers three right hands...then Reggie turns him around and fires off rights, sending Strutter down in the corner! TONY What a rush of adrenaline for Reggie right there! JESSE He should tag, though! Pantera clotheslines Reggie from the apron, which draws BIG boos from the crowd. TONY And the crowd not happy with the tactics of the Canadian team! JESSE Hey, they're doing what they've got to do to win, Schiavone! Pantera tags back in, and whips Reggie into a corner. Pantera charges, but runs into a foot! He staggers back, then Reggie delivers an axe kick, and quickly scoots over and tags Denzel! TONY And a tag made! JESSE Denzel's been waiting on that apron for a long time! Denzel hammers away on Pantera, then whips him into the ropes and catches him with a flying cross chop! Denzel then goes to the top rope, and flies off with a bodypress...but lands right in the arms of Pantera! JESSE Ooh, he got caught! However, Reggie comes in and dropkicks Denzel in the back, sending him down on top of Pantera for the cover! 1... 2... NO! Strutter saves! Denzel pops up and hammers away on Strutter, while Reggie knocks Pantera to the floor! Denzel then whips Strutter into a corner, before making a signal to the crowd. TONY I think it's time for the PAPPY-SHOW~!!! Denzel whips Reggie towards Strutter, and Reggie executes an avalanche! Denzel follows with a handspring elbow, then shoves him out into a bicycle kick from Reggie! Cover... 1... 2... NO!!! Shoulder up! As Pantera slowly slides into the ring, Denzel goes to the top, as Reggie lifts Strutter up on his shoulders! JESSE They're setting it up! TONY Here comes the JAMAICAN BOBSLED... However, Pantera once again intercepts Denzel's jump, catching him, and tossing him right over the top to the floor! Strutter swings around and counters Reggie into a DDT! Pantera picks up Reggie, and lifts him for a powerbomb, while Strutter grabs the head...PENALTY BOX~!!!111 TONY And there's the penalty box! Will it be enough? 1... 2... 3!!! TONY Yes it will! *DING DING DING* JESSE The clock strikes midnight for the Jamaicans! The Canadians are heading to the finals! The crowd boos as the referee raises the hands of the Canadians. BUFFER The winners of the match, advancing to the final match...TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMMMMMMMMMM CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Strutter hops out of the ring to help Denzel to his feet, as Pantera shakes the hand of Reggie in the ring. Pantera then hops to the floor and pats Denzel on the back before shaking his hand, then the Canadians walk to the back. Reggie reaches through the ropes to shake Strutter's hand as Denzel rolls back into the ring. The crowd gives a standing ovation to the defeated Jamaican team. TONY And a great show of respect from this Miami crowd for the Jamaicans! JESSE A valiant effort, but they'll be watching the finals from the locker room. The Canadians advance! TONY And of course, it'll be Team Heyross, representing the United States, taking on the Lithuanians to determine the Canadians' opposition in the finals later tonight! Right now, let's go back to Josh Matthews!

OK, here's my list. Taken into account are the seasons from 2000 (the Lakers' first title) to now, including stats, awards, and playoff success. My limit was 300 games, as opposed to the 400 benoitrulz4life used. 1. Shaquille O'Neal 2. Tim Duncan 3. Allen Iverson 4. Kobe Bryant 5. Jason Kidd 6. Kevin Garnett 7. Dirk Nowitzki 8. Ben Wallace 9. Steve Nash 10. Tracy McGrady 11. Ray Allen 12. Chris Webber 13. Elton Brand 14. Paul Pierce 15. Vince Carter 16. Antoine Walker 17. Shawn Marion 18. Chauncey Billups 19. Sam Cassell 20. Jermaine O'Neal 21. Karl Malone 22. Antawn Jamison 23. Stephon Marbury 24. Mike Bibby 25. Dikembe Mutombo I'm guessing benoitrulz's list weighed a lot more on stats than mine did. I'd have a hard time excluding a Finals MVP (Billups) from my list. Antawn Jamison is probably the Adrian Dantley of the new millennium in terms of not getting enough respect. He put up a lot of his numbers with a bad team in Golden State, but the past couple years he's shown he can do it with a playoff team, as well. Bibby gets in ahead of Francis and Baron based solely on his playoff resume. He can definitely move up with a few more years like this one. Mutombo was a big part of two Finals teams, was DPOY in 2000 and holds rebounding titles in '00 and '01. These were my next 10, in no particular order: Jerry Stackhouse Michael Finley Andre Miller Ron Artest Glenn Robinson Steve Francis Baron Davis Peja Stojakovic Gary Payton Shareef Abdur-Rahim

So I assume this one goes from the 99-00 season, to now?
-
Apparently Harrington's switch of agents has opened the door for other teams to get involved again, including GS, Denver and Minnesota. Of course, the deal could have been done before the fact if we'd just given the Hawks the extra $3 million that just would have been used on some other scrub 6-9 forward from overseas. Instead, Bird's trying to offload Jeff Foster on them, apparently. Because really, who needs a guy who busts his ass and crashes the offensive glass?
-
The storyline was, Savage couldn't get involved in the ring, or he'd lose his job as an announcer. That was why he couldn't save Crush.
-
I don't see anyone "giving them the gold." All we're saying is they haven't had the problems so far that the '04 team had. And right now, I can't see those problems resurfacing, although I obviously didn't see the Brazil game.
-
They'll be lucky to fill half of Ford Field with what they have now. It would probably take no less than Austin-Hogan to actually sell it out.
-
For now, I've changed it to WWE. It's not set in stone, there's plenty of time.
-
US vs China tonight at 9:30.

You know what would be a good idea, is if I edited the card into the top post!
