  1. All-rookie teams. Interestingly enough, despite Durant winning the ROTY, Horford was the only unanimous choice. 1st team Al Horford, Atlanta Kevin Durant, Seattle Luis Scola, Houston Al Thornton, LA Clippers Jeff Green, Seattle 2nd team Jamario Moon, Toronto Juan Carlos Navarro, Memphis Thaddeus Young, Philadelphia Rodney Stuckey, Detroit Carl Landry, Houston
  2. Yeah, I didn't consider the quaifying offer thing. But I think that was just with Pietrus, I'm pretty sure Barnes was unrestricted. I understand what you're trying to say about the front office, but Barnes and Pietrus have been pretty minimal contributers to that team, and I wouldn't put much stock into what those two feel entitled to, when you're comparing them to what Baron Davis has done for the Warriors.
  3. Matt Barnes made $3 million this year, and Pietrus made $3,474,770. Those are hardly "lowball" offers for those two guys.
  4. That is obviously fake. Come on you guys.
  5. Dikembe Mutombo, C Career averages of 9.9 points, 10.4 rebounds (12,326, 17th all-time), 2.8 blocks (7th all-time, 3,278 total blocks, 2nd all-time), .518 FG% 2-time rebounding champion (2000-01) 3-time blocked shots leader (1994-96) 4-time Defensive Player of the Year All-NBA 2nd team (2001) All-NBA 3rd team (1998, 2002) 6-time All Defense (3x 1st team) 8-time All-Star
  6. I was considering Sabonis in the later rounds, as well. I have a good idea of the type of team I'm building, and I thought he would be a great fit. Oh well.
  7. Well, there goes my sleeper pick. Nice one. Steve Nash, PG 15th all-time in assists with 6,787 (should be top 10 next year), 3-time league leader in assists ('05-'07), Career averages of 14.2 points, 7.9 assists per game (11th all-time) .897 career FT%, 3rd all-time .431 career 3PT%, 5th all-time 2-time NBA Most Valuable Player 6-time All-NBA (3x first team) 6-time All-Star
  8. I'm here now so if naiwf's pick comes in we can get this thing moving.
  9. Pat Riley, obv.
  10. My loader spring is broken on my NES, too. I took the top off of the system and put a 5-pound free weight on top to hold the game in place.
  11. Mullin may have still been on the board at 56. I would have gone with Havlicek and Cousy there.
  12. This is the first time since 1993 that all four home teams started 2-0 in the second round.

  14. 20% does seem like a lot for a tip. I've never eaten anywhere that nice, of course, but in my experience tips have always been between 10-15 percent. I suppose there's a chance that this is a dramatization. I just saw it on HoopsHype and thought it was funny, so I posted it.
  15. LeBron James: bad tipper.
  16. Billy Knight has resigned from the Hawks. Long live Mike Woodson!
  17. Jerry West, G/F Career averages of 27.0 points (6th all-time, 25,192, 14th all-time), 5.8 rebounds, 6.7 assists (6,238, 24th all-time), 5th all-time in free throws with 7,160 5th leading playoff scorer in history with 4,457 points, 3rd-highest average at 29.1 points, 3rd in free throws with 1,213, 8th in assists with 973 (6.3/game) 1969 NBA Finals MVP member of 1972 NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers Lakers' all-time leading scorer 12x All-NBA (10x 1st team) 14-time All-Star 5x All-Defense (4x 1st team) 1991 All-Star game MVP Holds NBA record with 840 free throws in 1966 led NBA in scoring 1970 led NBA in assists 1972 Olympic Gold medalist in 1960 Member of 35th anniversary team and one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history Hall of Fame 1980 And they modeled the logo after him, for crying out loud.
  18. According to hoopshype, Nash has two years left at $12,250,000 and $13,125,000, with the second year being a team option. I don't think he would be incredibly hard to move.
  19. I was reading a chat log on ESPN last week, I forget if it was Ford or Chris Sheridan. But one of them said that the Suns trading Steve Nash may be an option worth exploring. What would you guys' opinion be on the possibility of this?
  20. This is the Milli Vanilli episode of the Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoon, with the original music. Doesn't seem to be a YouTube thread in the Movies/TV folder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qZAOikH73M
  21. Surprised that Pierce didn't have more than one point, as well.
  22. Charles Barkley, PF Career averages of 22.1 points (23,757, 16th all-time), 11.7 rebounds (12,546, 15th all-time), 3.9 assists, 54% field goal 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player 11-time All-NBA (5x first team) 11-time All-Star 1991 All-Star game MVP rebounding champion in 1987 NBA Hall of Fame 2006 2-time Olympic Gold medalist One of the 50 greatest players in NBA history
  23. Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy's blatant Celtics bias has been pretty awful thus far in the playoffs. I used to like how well Van Gundy and Mark Jackson played off each other, but now I just can't tolerate the guy at all. Jon Barry has been let off the hook as the worst color man in basketball, at least nationally.
