  1. No way. Calgary's not winning the division. No chance in hell. Tanguay is not THAT big of an improvement. And not when nearly every team last year qualified from the NW and every other team didn't downgrade a lot.
  2. You know, my picks ARE up... So why exactly isn't Vern's? I ain't changing my picks, ya know. I never have except on one occasion cause I screwed up.
  3. Ok, I admit I don't watch Eastern conference games often enough. Kinda hard when its basically "OMG, YOU MUST WATCH TORONTO OR NO OTHER EASTERN GAMES" on all Canadian channels out West. ...that doesn't take away from the fact that they create stupid turnoevers.
  4. Predictions really aren't your forte, are they? I guarentee Ottawa ain't gonna be as good this year as last, but I will admit that 5 is maybe too low. However they ain't 1 or 2 for their divison that's for sure. You apparently didn't read the part where I said you just need to play defensively on them, and you win. The Senators defense is the weakest of its own division and they create stupid turnovers. Just play defensively, wait for the stupid turnovers, and win.
  5. So my PS2 just gave off a seeker error yesterday. Same thing my original PS2 did. ... *sigh* There goes $150 of my money.
  6. Depending on the maps, it definitely is harder. Some are good, but there are some nasty random ones. Oh and apparently you can get Laharl and Flonne into your party, but I'm unsure of how to do so. I'm thinking it hasta do with a certain bill you need to pass, but I'm not sure when it'll work. Also if you kill Etna in Chapter 3, you get your title changed to Demon Lord. Which I thought was cool.
  7. To be honest, I wouldn't be at all surprised that someway, somehow we see ever team in the NW qualify. They almost did it last year and frankly the division didn't really get that much weaker than they were from last year.
  8. 32:30 I think was the time of beating. Levels ranged in the 50-60 mark. Wish I could unlock more Dark Sun worlds (only got one), and frankly I'm stuck on the Cave of Ordeals. More or less unlocked most character classes (human/demon ones), working on the monsters. Oh, and I got Chaos Soldier and he isn't Godlike, like Maijin was. Very adequate, but I hafta reget the class because I took the wrong save and saved over my save with aquired Chaos Soldier.
  9. I'm thinking Gabriel is the current #1 right now in Pats land just because of what he can do. And frankly 5th is such a steal for him. I would've expected them giving up more than that.
  10. Northwest 1) Colorado: This is still one of the top teams to beat in the NW and will be among the best. ~ Playoff spot - 2 2) Edmonton: The loss of Pronger will hurt the team the most, but the rest of the team is there and frankly with a lead goalie there that can get the job done, they will be making the playoffs again. ~ Playoff spot - 7 3) Minnesota: No. You do read this right. I think the Wild are poised to make a hell of a run, but I don't think they are better than Edmonton. Ain't that much worse though. ~ Playoff spot - 8 4) Calgary: Kipper can't continually carry this team, and frankly Tanguay alone isn't gonna help their scoring problems. 5) Vancouver: Salary cap is killing them, but frankly I think they'll do well. Just not good enough to get by the other 4. Central 1) Nashville: With Vokoun back these guys are gonna make thsi divison fun. ~ Playoff spot - 3 2) Detroit: While very good scoring, the goaltending isn't something I'd be keen on. ~ Playoff spot - 4 3) St. Louis: Legace will give these guys a few more wins than they deserve. 4) Columbus: Continually will plug along, but serious need to make some moves to become competitive. 5) Chicago: Its Chicago. Enough said. Pacific 1) San Jose: Losing nothing, this team will be the front runners of the West. ~ Playoff spot - 1 2) Dallas: Always a solid team and shall continue to be so. ~ Playoff spot - 5 3) Los Angeles: Looking good in terms of incoming talent and talent already there. If they don't make a run this playoff, expect them to do so in a years time. ~ Playoff spot - 6 4) Anaheim: While getting Pronger is a big win for them, losing Lupul wasn't a good thing. Could surprise, but I don't think so. 5.) Phoenix: I think they'll be the cellar dwellers in this division just because of everyone else looks better. Northeast 1) Buffalo: Are a cup bound team yet again, me thinks. Not much turnover and solid team. ~ Playoff spot - 3 2) Montreal: Just like Buffalo not a lot of turnover and additions will help them greatly. ~ Playoff spot - 4 3) Toronto: This team is actually probably the best team to have rebuilt over the off-season of the Canadian teams. You don't know how mcuh it pains me to say that... Anyways, I think they'll be in the playoff hunt but Raycroft will be trying to find his old form early in the season and this will cost them some ground. ~ Playoff spot - 5 4) Boston: As has been mentioned goaltending will be questioned, and frankly after the first line I just don't see much scoring. 5) Ottawa: They scored so much last year, but if you play solid defense on them (as was shown during the playoffs), they ain't going far. Emery's gonna need to play huge and I don't think he can. Atlantic 1) New York Rangers: The Rangers will be on top and Lundqvist will carry them. ~ Playoff spot - 2 2) Philidelphia: Will be fighting for a playoff spot, but that defense is gonna likely cost them quite a few spots. ~ Playoff spot - 6 3) Pittsburgh: Defense is the pits, but frankly they aren't gonna be strapped by cap problems and a GM that doesn't deserve to be one. 4) New Jersey: Marty may be good, but the Devils are FUCKED over by the cap and are gonna pay dearly. 5) New York Islanders: Garth Snow as GM. Need I say more? Southeast 1) Carolina: Cam Ward isn't gonna be as hot as he was last year, but frankly this is the team to beat for the upcoming season. And if Cam IS as hot as he was, we'll be seeing repeat champions. ~ Playoff spot - 1 2) Atlanta: While being slightly better than TB, I don't think it'll be by that much. I'm only ranking TB below due to salary cap problems. ~ Playoff spot - 7 3) Tampa Bay: Kiss St. Louis gone by the trade deadline in an attempt to get them playoff bound. ~ Playoff spot - 8 4) Florida: This team is only a few years away from going far into the playoffs. Assuming the right pieces show up. 5) Washington: I feel sorry for Ovechkin.
  11. No, I did a lot of fighting. I just mean in RPGs I usually do as less as necessary. However I didn't get any sleep till I beat it, so Rando wasn't missing the mark at all.
  12. San Fran - 13 Miami Carolina Tampa Bay New England Cincinnati Denver Cleveland Tennessee Houston Seattle Chicago Dallas Arizona N.Y. Giants Washington San Diego
  13. No. Front brake was only a millimeter away, so when I put it on, flip went bike. Was thinking of playing some Madden to...
  14. I hate you so much. I mean I just make a beeline for the boss and am there on the shortest possible route, even though I've never seen the dungeon before.
  15. I would figure it was more quitting than fired. Because fired at this point makes no sense. I mean, if they were gonna fire him, fire him after Luongo couldn't be signed. And it looks like the Panthers are saying he left on his own, so yeah he did quit. Wonder why he did so.
  16. I might, but I don't want to buy a DS for just one game. ... I'm already on my second time through. Although I'm currently trudging through the Cave of Ordeals for the hell of it, then going to continue on with the rest of the storyline. Apparently someone didn't read the comment that I made earlier about using two years of my life just to RPGs (based on the average number of RPGs I've beaten and their average time, not including the ones I played yet never beaten). After awhile, you just pick up on how to do things. Hell, I can go into any dungeon and be at the boss asap, that's how keen my "adventuring" skills are. I do sleep... Just not when there's an RPG to be played. And if it wasn't for flipping over my bike and hurting my left hand, I'd be on my way to playing Xenosaga III.
  17. If you were expecting anything else from someone like Vincent you went in expecting the wrong things concerning the storyline. His past that was known from FFVII hinted pretty much what would happen if he got his own game. And actually, I think it would've been good. And Disgaea 2 definitely is the better choice of the two if you had to make the pick. Plus as I hear it, if you don't pick up soon you'll likely not get a chance. Talked to the guy at my local gaming store, and they were not only sold out, they only had limited supplies. And they aren't EB, btw, who are also having troubles.
  18. Ok, is anyone else's Madden "crashing" on them? I've had it happen twice now and frankly its not my PS2 cause none of my other games are crashing. It also crashed while I was saying so I just lost my dynasty... *sigh*
  19. Yeah, but the problem is, Carr's deal (last I checked) still hits them hard for the cap and frankly they didn't want that. That and by saying Carr is a failure would immediately be asking for heads. Although, they already are asking for them. They refused to trade down because honestly no one wanted to move up. And as it was said, when it was told they were taking Mario Williams, it basically made the pick untradable. As far as the holdout with Bush, they were addressing their biggest need which is defense (regardless of how bad Davis' knee was). Sure, RB was just as bad, but the hope that Davis could make a comeback was still there. Yes, it was messed up. But it wasn't said to be to the extent that Davis would never play again, at least not until recently. But yeah, why pass on a back like Bush? If it was because you think he'd hold out, why basically screw everything up by letting it be known that you have absolutely no intentions of taking Bush and screwing your chance to get out of the pick.
  20. They picked Williams because their defense was actually a hell of a lot worse than its offense. That and it was originally thought Davis knee wasn't that bad. But yeah, even I'm thinking that Houston made a mistake by passing on Bush.
  21. I think that's #9 honestly.
  22. Well, I started my Bills dynasty. Currently have 3 "rookie" QBs trying to earn the starting job, including Losman. I'm gonna try that this season and see how it works. If it fails, I'll just trade Losman and draft a new first round QB. I then traded away McGahee and his injury prone status for a 2nd rounder. Stupid injury prone status made me lose out on a first, but I figured it was a fair trade off. In a seperate deal, I aquired Drew-Jones to be my current starting HB. And because Evans commands too much money, I also traded him away for a 1st rounder (and another player whom I forget), meanwhile aquiring Engram from the Seahawks to be my 2nd WR (because I'm #1 right now). He's only got 1 year left on his current contract, but I figured that I could bring him over and just see what happens. Considering I've got Andre Davis and Price as my next guys on the depth chart I figured that was the best idea. ...yes, I really am trying to make my team shitty. And before anyone asks about the cap situation, Evans is the only one who greatly hurts my cap, and I can deal with that situation.
  23. ...I just beat Disgaea 2. And frankly, I'm quite disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the story and that were rocking. But I haven't even owned this for like 3 weeks and I blew right through it. And it just feels shorter than the original. Then again I'm thinking I might've just hammered my way through entirely too quickly, because there was no dance scene between Rozy and Adell.
  24. Well, in one of my other leagues that I'll get around to posting, I traded away Thomas Jones for Gore. Which was fun. We also have defensive players in that league too, but the bench is only 3 spots, so instead of trying to just rotate defense during the season, I just picked all my defense who had the same bye week.
  25. Devil Shanny's saying that Bell starting job is up in the air right now, so not really.
