Sadly nothing I know of works for stopping the roughing of the kicker. The d-line sacking is pretty easy. Rap on the sprint button upon locking up and when it seems you've got a jump on the lineman, use the L1 or R1. ...you probably already do that, but I figured I'd mention. Also use only your strongest strength dline player for this because they'll burst though easily.

A new tecmo bowl would be the awesome! I get me some Disgaea 2 later today. Weeeeeee... ...although alternating between Disgaea, Xenosaga, Madden, and NCAA is gonna be hard. I'll need to plan a schedule out for what I play. -
Yeah, and also taking sacks from the looks of it. I toyed with it for a bit. Also, I never did get an answer. I'm doing a dynasty and I have a game, but no actual commentary for it. What's up with that?

The Evaluate Each Other's Fantasy Team Thread
Lightning Flik replied to MrRant's topic in Fantasy Sports
Bobby, that team is down right scary. Especially if that's PPR and in like a 12 or more team league. -
Pretty much, yes. And I'm like you. I haven't read Harry Potter in like forever.

So I'm a sucker and going to buy myself a copy of Xenosaga III. Why? No idea. All I need to do is find a copy of Xenosaga II and I can play the whole series. -
The Evaluate Each Other's Fantasy Team Thread

Hey, King. You forgot that for the NMB league, you got to "sign" players to your team with your "cash flow". My NMFL (NMB) Team: QB - Big Ben, Bulger WR - C.J., Santana, Driver, Kennison, Keyshawn, Walker RB - Cadillac, Rudi, Bush, Addai TE - Gonzalez, Davis K - Graham DB - M.Brown, K.Rhodes, C.Hope, M.Williams DL - Witherspoon, Dansby, Clark, Brooking This team was good idea at the start, but Bush and Addai both seem to not be starting or having troubles, so now I'm looking weak there. -

Actually, the Phantom is turning into a labtop instead, so its not dead. -
Trust me. Pre-season means JACK. As soon as you establish any semblence of doing well, you'll be killed in the regular season. Plus being on the Chargers will help anyone out. Should've been on someone like the Browns. ...hey wait. You are starting on the Chargers? I thought Rivers was higher than 84? When you play first teams all the time for 4 quarters, you are gonna have problems. However, if your line is good during a regular season game and you still overwhelm them, THEN increase the level. ...I keep getting clipping calls cause the stupid people I'm trying to pancake during the run keep turning around. Its funny, cause I do actually pancake the CB covering me quite often.
-
Actually, I started out as an 84, just like you. But I worked hard during the pre-season and managed to build up a 6pt improvement. When you are a receiver and you start off with 84 overall, and the weakest part about you is your awareness and hands, you quickly rise up. Its also kinda funny because Lewis broke his ankle to end the pre-season and its Mike Anderson running wild on defenses. I'm currently playing the deep receiver role it seems as I get a lot of deep routes. I also liek it that McNair trusts me enough to toss it my way now. He didn't toss it at all to me during the pre-season, but now I get it nearly anytime he notices I'm open and waving my arms.

It helps when I'm rated an 89 to start with (90 when I was finished), and my nearest competition is an 82. I don't get many tosses honestly. I had a total of 5 and 8 passes my way for both games. My first game I only caught 3. The past game I caught 5. I also got player of the week for Week 2 by getting like 300 yards returning +2TDs and nearly 200 yards receiving. That was fun. Its actually not bad being apart of the Ravens offense. We've managed to beat TB in OT (thanks to me getting us in FG range) and just whooped the Raiders. Just gotta keep it up. Also is there any announcing in the game? I tried starting up my franchise season in Madden and while I was playing the game there was no announcing. I found this odd, and had to double check if I was in my SuperStar mode, but yeah no announcing. What happened to it?

They'll likely keep that in, important point of his life having his favorite thing taken away from him.

So, I started my journey to Canton in Madden. I decided to go WR and Randy Moss is what I've been compared to. So I here I am, salvating at who brought me to their workouts: Colts (OMG), Browns (Edwards FTW!), and TB (hey, not bad). Looks like I'll be getting some good players to play with. I did pretty good on the catching. Silvers in all my tryouts, and established myself pretty decently at the combine I figured. Well, apparently I established myself too well. I end up not on any of those 3 teams. I get drafted by the I felt like reseting it, but figured I'd run with it. Did pretty good during the pre-season, establishing myself as the #2 (not that that was hard). And during the season I've seemed to develop some nice chemistry with the lead QB as I've had 2 100 games receiving (300+ total), and gotten a ton of TDs so far. Although, I hate calling for the ball, cause my QB keeps chucking it too quickly sometimes for me to make a play.

Wow... *hugs cheat sheet* My team is SO much better than I could've hoped for, since I slept right through the draft. Wee...

You know, I decided to catalogue how many RPGs I played, beaten, and add up their time (on average) to see how much time I've used on them. Apparently it equivilates to 2.5 years of my life. That's a lot of time used on them... -
Ok, I definitely chuckled at that one. And has anyone checked out Inukami!? I'd recommend it. Its a great comedy show for a bunch of laughs.

What would it take for another boom period in wrestling to happen?
Lightning Flik replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
For there to be a wrestling boom, you'll need to whip the slate clean. It will take a new company to do it. WWE has done to many things wrong recently to get people to come back to watching even if you had them doing the right things. It's going to take a company that does wrestling in a different way that will start a new wrestling boom. Because unless something hugely changes over in WWE, it'll never happen. -

10% in the whole isn't bad as long as we're revenue shared. I'm quite sure Calgary or Edmonton's markets could handle the 10% minus. As long as you get a GM in that's either A) like Kevin Lowe or B) has much of a Patriots like staff. I guess I should've mentioned this before but probably the hardest part for Edmonton would be that Commonwealth is an outdoor stadium and playing games in December as you say isn't easy. However, if you put a good NFL team there, trust me, Edmontonians would show up. We're that passionate about a franchise when it gets here. And while playing in and watching a game in December wouldn't be nice, I do believe if you could shore up the backing for one, Edmonton would be able to find someway to get an indoor stadium. The biggest problem is the consistantly screwing up in Ontario. Its not really like they had a choice. It's hard to justify going to to a team when they play like crap or just seemingly never try to improve. Hamilton Ti-Cats, Toronto Blue Jays, and Toronto Raptors all seemingly say "oh we've improved" when any fan can look at the team and go "how's that improving?" and realize its a lot of hot watery steam. Its hard to follow the NFL when really the only way out West can watch is, is via the NFL Network and that costs money. Sure you can watch some games on TV, but I follow the Falcons, and frankly I'm stuck watching the Seahawks 9 of 10 times. If you actually had a channel that was devoted to the just coverage of a few different teams, you'd probably get a better response to it. I'd also like to take this moment to say that TSN is getting NFL now, so that survey number will probably increase. I'm surprised that someone agrees with me on that Edmonton and Calgary are the best places to even think about it. I thought someone would for sure call me a homer on the subject. I think it could happen, but you'd need to actually make it like a loan from the government and hafta pay it back. Therein lies the problem because if the NFL did that for a Canadian team, it couldn't use the "oh we'll leave factor and get a better deal" on cities. Same with baseball and any other sport.

Manga is usually never associated with comics. Hence why when you see a comics thingie, you won't see manga on it (or you shouldn't at least).

Dirge of Cerebus is alright. It was at least worth the spending money, if that's what you wanna know. Although, expect a ton of cutscenes. -
Wouldn't happen as far as the own division. We'd have TWO divisions, because we have 8 teams (soon to be 9 and 10, hopefully). The biggest problem if the CFL was bought out, would be the position of SB and what happens to it, plus the fact that the CFL's fields are larger than the NFLs. And I think the Canadian teams could give any NFL team a run for its money. Edit: Not saying we'd win, just we'd put up a fight.
-
I think a both a CFL and NFL team could be supported in some markets. I know Toronto could support one, and considering how much we Edmontons love our Eskimos (I don't go, so...) I think we could support them here too. Although the reason why I say you could only get a team out west, is because none of the eastern teams really have a NFL worthy stadium. And even out west, the only two that are NFL worthy are currently Edmonton and Vancouver, with Calgary being an outside shot. But you are right though. Because both a CFL and NFL team would hafta probably share a stadium and because frankly, there's no way any of our governments fund a new stadium. I mean hell, the Oilers are adding a few dollars to the ticket prices on the guarentee that they'll be using hte money to build their own new stadium. That probably doesn't wanna make the NFL come up here. Yet, I still think we'd be an awesome place to have a NFL team. Edmonton that is.

You serious? It takes you exactly as is? And why the hell bother with it if you basically become God? I mean, I was just figuring if I built up my stats in NCAA I'll be able to have a great player. Not a superfreak. That sucks.

To be honest, I don't know. I just randomly picked a date and went with it. Just like how I'll be using the Magical Sorting Hat to decide who's picking where. As soon as we get one more person. Edit: Actually, I'm looking into moving the draft time if possible. Double Edit: Just remembered why the draft is today. There isn't really a feesable time that a live draft can be done. Unless you want it done on October 1st...
