Ugh... So I beat NCSU and then I get out of the game and find out my #2 ranking is in peril. The #3 team in the coaches ranking is gaining, and I'm close to losing my #1 poll in the media to the Volunteers. I'll scream if I get fucked out of another National Title game.

E3 cancelled for next year... AND BEYOND!

I blame the fact they never let it be open to the public. If you ran it like a business it would make a hell of a profit. ...oh wait. That's asking Sony + Microsoft + Nintendo to do some work together. That's taboo... Seriously though, they would make a fucking killing if they actually let it be open to the public and run it for a week. -
Yeah, Smyth is a true blue Oiler and I really hope he'll lead our team back to a real Stanley Cup win sometime soon cause he is getting up there in years for a hockey player and of all people I want to see him get one. Even if he had to leave for another team, I would understand. But yeah, we're not exactly that bad off. Addition of the third line Samsonov replacement in Lupul is a good thing. Especially since he'll be playing on Line 1 I'm sure.

Well, I'm about to win game 6 here against the Fighting Irish 58-28 (still have 3:07 left). If it wasn't for the 3 fumbles recovered and 3 INTS, I'd be probably be dead. Also if I couldn't defend so well against the run as well, it would be a hell of a lot closer. Now if this win doesn't get me my #1 ranking back, I'm gonna be so pissed it ain't funny.

Well, I found out that Madden doesn't come out till the 22nd of August, and therefore, I don't hafta rush through and build up my draft classes as fastly as I thought I had too. Hopefully I get my #1 ranking back. I still haven't.
-
I wouldn't mind joining the other one as well. But I think you'd need to run both because both would be fine too.

Considering all things this off-season, Oilers aren't doing too bad. I think we'll be in prime position for another playoff run, but without Pronger, even I'm skeptical that we'll make it far. However, getting someone like Lupul so that he can play with Hemsky will be awesome. Now Hemsky can just sit back and pass to Lupul and we'll have a new scoring tandum. Toss in Stoll or Horcoff and we're doing good. I hope we bring up Schremp. He deserves a shot finally. Defense isn't too bad, but we'll need people stepping up to play better than they did last year.

The most useful pitch I find works is the "coaching style". Most players care about that one, so I usually go that one. And those that do like the coaching style are players that will work best for the type of plays you do, I find at least. Academics is only good for players with high disciplene, playing time for guys who are 5*, location for those close to you, coaches prestige only works if you've got 4*+ I think, and I don't remember the last one. But that's how I think it usually works. Or so it did for me. Although most players I targeted don't mind location, coaches prestige or playing time. Funny that. LSU jumping USC is like the Volunteers jumping the Blue Raiders, yet we both are unbeaten. In my case, the Blue Raiders haven't had too many challenges this season (one game), whereas the Volunteers have had a few. It doesn't change it by much, just enough to modify it so that the Volunteers come out on top. That and ACC isn't the greatest division to get voted to the NTG.

How is that off-topic APO? It is the Anime/Manga OAO thread. That's not really off-topic. You know a lot of older manga, I need to get cause I just started purchasing manga when Negima came out. I so need to backtrack on some of the older series like Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma, and others. And yeah, my wallet isn't doing too good too. Especially considering I'm buying like 500 manga here soon from someone. Well, probably in installments cause I only know the person over the interweb. You know, I recommended Elfen Lied to someone, yet I've never seen it. They loved it, but still. I kinda feel bad about doing that. Ever do something like that with manga/anime?

Curious, but what's everyone's favorite distributor? I prefer Del-Ray (Negima, Tsubasa, xxxHOLiC) over the others. And someone explain why I should watch or read Bleach. I know nothing about it. ...yes, the guy who's into wacky stuff like Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ouran Host Club, Inukami, etc. knows nothing about Bleach. Educate me.

Oh hey, that's right... *so knows what he's doing when he gets home ... besides playing NCAA and trying to regain my #1 ranking over the fucking Volunteers* -
Oh I just mean ATHs area always good for recruiting when the field isn't strong or you need to pick up higher ranking players. ATHs are pretty easy to obtain as a lower ranking team. But yes, they are very hit and miss. You need to actually pay attention to what the scouting reports say and if they do say that they are worse than originally, you drop'em fast. Or at least I did.

I know what you mean. But I gave it a try and frankly its nearly as good as Suikoden 2. ...yes, I repeat, its nearly as good as Suikoden 2. I ain't taking that back. I had to restart my save, because I somehow corrupted it, and for the most part its a really good game. The VAs a little shoddy, but with all the Stars voiced and then some, its pretty good as a whole. Battles are just like old, wars are pretty fun, and the duels are quick and painless. Just like Suikoden 2. And the story for the most part is great. Oh and the trailer has the wrong "bad" person identified. I'd recommend it to be honest. -
Actually, that's not true. I got a 78 CB out of a *** ATH. And I needed a CB. Again not true. If you draft the right ATH, you can end up with the following: 96 Speed 74 Catching/Carrying 71 Strength 98 Arm Strength 84 Arm Accuracy 83 Jumping Or at least that's this one guy who was recruited last year as a 5* is. Sadly I didn't draft him because I didn't really think I needed him and I didn't see his attributes till the season actually started. You can only imagine how much I was kicking myself, because the guy can literially play any position. I beat up on Wake Forest, to go to 5-0(I think its just 5 wins) in Year 2, and I still am shafted my number 1 ranking by the damned Coaches. I better make a National Title game. Especially considering Tupea, Hunter, and Sanders are all likely to go for Pro Draft this season. I can't see Sanders staying since he's broken every career record for receiving (ie: I threw over 6k yards last season, he had half), so with nothing left to do he's likely gone (if I win the National Title game, its assured). And Hunter is now on his own little tear, so he'll probably ditch. And although Tupea isn't that great (2:1 TD to INT career ratio), I still can't see him sticking around for another season especially if I win the National Title. ...I'm almost tempted to cost myself the Title game to keep my guys a little longer if I can.

Leena, if you have problems like that, do what I did but in reverse. If you need wideouts but can't get WRs, go after some good CBs and turn them into wideouts. If you need RBs, try moving one of your speedy linebackers to RB. If you have a good DT make him an T or C. If you have a good DE, try making him an RE. That's what I'd do at least.

Considering the RPGers here, I'm amazed no one started a Suikoden V thread. Its a really good game. -
I'm holding off on believing steroids this for a moment. For someone to come from behind and win, woudln't they have an over excessive amount of testies? I mean after all, doing something like he did in one leg would mean they'd hafta get pumped up very high and probably would stay taht way, considering he basically did something that is the greatest feat in his sport. Considering the guy's also got a degenerate hip, can he really afford to have steroids in his body?

So do a tutor once a week and everythings fine? Hm. Interesting. Is that an easy one, or a hard course? Might make the difference here.
-
Considering it wasn't 7m, like most though, someone will be willing to take him. Just who is the question. I'm not sure anyone has the cap space to take him on right now besides well, Edmonton, and frankly we ain't taking someone like Gomez. Especially not after we busted out the money for Hemsky (but that's over 6 years, which is a steal).

From everything I heard, major doesn't really matter at all.
-
I played it but the problem with it is that you basically hafta study every time otherwise your GPA drops. So you can't really train or that to improve your stats. Most people play on All-American and Heisman. And cupcake teams just DIE on those settings. Well, I just beat up on Wake Forest, and surprisingly before the game they actually talked about one of my players being a big factor to me winning. Which would be my halfback David Hunter. Of course, he's on pace this game for 300 yards, but that's only because everyone continually thinks I'm gonna play like last year and throw for like 5000 yards.
-
Don't you mean 5-6? Cause I'm quite sure you 5-5 last you talk. BTW, during in season recruiting, just aim for 3-4 players. Don't try going all out. Its something I figured out when I was doing recruiting in my second year. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play #25 Wake Forest who's 4-0 and see if I can keep my winning streak alive.

For speeds of 80+ make sure that he's got a 4.40 or less. So yes, that should at least get you near there.

They are introducing the challenge this year for college football yes. Or so I had heard anyways.

This is for everything concerning the Grandia III series. So from what I read we've got a game that will probably take place in the air lots (ie: Skies of Arcadia) and also apparently Emerius might end up being not really the "bad guy" but the anti-hero whom we still have to end up killing. Interesting starting plot details. Game supposedly is going to be released sometime this year in Japan, and no words on whether it'll make it to our shores. Although, considering the success of Grandia and Grandia II, I think its safe to say its coming over.
