My Current Lineup For TSM H2H League: C) Miguel Olivo 1B) Scott Hatteberg 2B) Bret Boone SS) Juan Uribe 3B) Aaron Boone OF) Jim Edmonds OF) Scott Podsednik OF) Marcus Cameron UT) Marquis Grissom BN) Heep Sop Choi - 1B BN) Gabe Gross - OF (he made the Jays ) BN) Jose Valentin - SS (will play third base) DL) Frank Thomas - UT DL) Barry Bonds - OF SP) Jason Marquis SP) Chris Carpenter SP) Andy Pettitte SP) Cliff Lee SP) Gil Meche RP) Juan Rincon RP) Steve Shields BN) Matt Morris (on 15DL) Stats for league batters: Runs, HR, RBI, Steals, OBP Stats for league pitchers: Wins, Ks, Saves, ERA, WHIP Where I think I'm good is with my batting. Pretty good all-around there, but I'm most likely lose in OBP as most of my guys aren't great for it. However, I'll likely take most of the stats. If Bonds and Thomas both return before the season gets too far in, and if Gabe Gross continues his hot swing, I'll be setting quite pretty. So I'm more or less happy here. My pitching on the other hand I know is my weak point (which I even made worse by going after Bonds and Marquis for Halladay and Damon, just mere days before Bonds goes down). Not that I've got a bad staff, I don't have a closer so I'm conceding saves. Most of my pitchers aren't known guys for Ks except Lee and Pettite, so I'll probably lose that too. Yet on the other hand, I have 3 Cardinals pitchers so I think I'll do ok for Wins, ERA, and WHIP. Any comments on my team? Other than the fact that I fucked up hugely with that trade concerning Halladay and Damon for Bonds and Marquis (the whole league laughs at me as is).

This should be a landslide win for Mario. The only place that Sonic beats out Mario was the original cartoon (ABC, do not even start with that hack job X series: bleh) kicked the crap out of the Mario original cartoon (on the Super Mario Brothers show). And that's only cause Sonic's was much later. In games, its Mario. Sonic may be cooler, but cool only works for so long on its own.

Because there's not much to announce besides SE going: "Oh yeah, our big announcement is Grandia III" Besides, I'm waiting for when Famitsu unleashes its "exlusive" content and then post that.
-
I'd die laughing if BanDai turned around and announced this game like today for real. Just to watch RPGamer go "ok, so we meant this as a joke, but apparently they really mean to release a game"

I'm kinda shocked this one was more believed about then the Square-Enix one. There is a .hack//Another Birth as I understand it, however it is currently just a stand alone manga that is about BlackRose (I don't honestly know much more than that). So its not fully a lie. Just only on the format in which it is received.

Head 2 Head Fantasy Baseball 2005
Lightning Flik replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Fantasy Sports
Has to be set by Saturday, if I'm not mistaken, every week. -
BTW Evo, can you just like make me the Bonds of the SFBL? *wink, wink; nudge, nudge* I mean, I'm quite sure I can make up the attitude of Bonds and easily write up amusing mock-interviews if you do.

Nash making sense? And a damn lot of it?! ...you know wrestling is bad when he's got his ego in check and praising Daniels and Styles.

Square-Enix taken over by MistWalker!
Lightning Flik replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
You mean, like, they've been doing for over 10 years? Hell, even SD1 coasted off the name (subtitled: Final Fantasy Gaiden). If it means he'll give the company a kick in the ass, so be it. Considering they'll be bringing out a game called Final Fantasy: EC, might be too soon to talk. Then again, that might be what Square-Enix had in development so might as well work it. And actually Final Fantasy Adventure was only given the name because they were sure that the Mana series wouldn't take off like it had with Secret of Mana. Not saying banking on a series is a bad thing, but Sakaguchi had a point when he said he was tired of having the stupidity of it be all Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest and everything else go mediocre. Square (and for that matter Enix) used to be inventive when they started out and now stagnate on the same ol' titles. No. But Sakaguchi pulling something like this would make sense as to why he hired a whole bunch of former and "just recent" Square-Enix employees to his company. I mean what better way to do a take-over and get the finances from the former employees than to "guarentee" people the chance for a change and to keep the same company. -
Ok, so Hironobu Sakuguchi took over Square-Enix and became the new CEO. Bite me. Ok, I'm a little skeptical about this myself. Considering what day it is. Problem is, I don't think Japan celebrates April fools, since this was taken from Shonen Jump's current magazine. This course of action is plausable since Sakaguchi was upset with the direction of Square-Enix continuing to bank on assured hits *coughDQcoughFFcough*, and so he might've wanted to pull this off. Also considering he was recently in talks with Mirco$oft... It wouldn't've surprised me at all. Anyways, let speculation run rampant! Hox or real deal~!? You have fun with it.
-
Ah, they will do that when they've milked the series for all its worth. Not a moment before.
-
That's a joke right? Its an RPG of an MMORPG. Hell no to this being the end. Especially considering the massive amounts of money it makes in Japan (anime series[plural], games, mangas), not likely. We could only wish though. Although, this ones apparently gonna get kinda personal between Kite and BlackRose as well, so prepare for lovey-dovey stuff.

First of all, you ain't seen what I'm planning on doing for my pitcher. Once James retires of course. Second, I either make James the Bond of our league, or he'll retire quicker. Since everyone's got a DH spot, I think its safe for me to be the long bomb man! Third, Quahog won the World Championship. Didn't you read? I got myself my second title.

The latest twist in the Schiavo case.......
Lightning Flik replied to NoCalMike's topic in Current Events
What, exactly, did she ever do to you to warrant this? -=Mike Its more being tired of hearing about this story. It was a private matter that shouldn't've been dragged out for the world to see, it had been debated for 15 years prior and so likely had reached a conclusion (be it for good or bad), and there wasn't anything else to see besides everyone use it for their own agenda. They are more like: "thank God its finally over. Now maybe people can move onto real issues." Or at least so I think that's what they mean. -
Hey Evo, what are my chances of retiring this end season? And what are my chances of making the HoF?
-
Actually to get Fridge to do stuff, you almost have to taunt him with the fact that he can't do it. So you know, he can prove you wrong. Edit: ...I think, I might be wrong. Which I've been known to be on occassion.

That smilie is the: "You've got to be fucking kidding me" smilie. That's why its like that. Geezus.
-
Geezus Christmas people. I only broke a controller once and that's cause I spilt like pop on it. You people have anger management issues if you get that frustrated over games.
-
But the different configurations might allow developers to build a gaming "controller" that would work better for their game. Might come up with some ingenius ways of getting all the milage out of a game. Same thing I thought of when I first heard the rumors that there was no controller. Be fucking outstanding it'd have to be to make me want it. Being intuitive is very easy, build each "controller" for each game so that it works absolutely fantastic for the player. Of course this won't feel nice. How many of us are so used to controllers? But you know, its like playing a PC game and using the keyboard instead of the controller. Sure its awkward as hell for the controller users, but depending on the game, it actually is easier on you. It'll probably be along those lines of how they build the "controller" for each Revolution game.
-
Ok. That definitely is something out there. As for the different button configurations, you have to do it with most games anyways, so how's it gonna be different just learning where on your controller each game has them? Not much.
