Yes, I worked at McDicks. Nice of you to notice. If you took a moment, you might remember about me being fucked over by the Boss there, and so I'm still quite resentful of the fact. Take it out on the whole company? Yeah. I will. Oh, but don't worry, I'm totally polite in my dealings. I'm like "oh, if you wouldn't mind, miss. I'd like an extra patty on my burger. If that's alright, as I know your busy and all. It sorta slipped my mind, I'm terribly sorry. ... *she imputs one* ...hm, well I'm awfully hunger, so could you please make it two? I mean, if its not so much trouble after all. If not, I'm ok with that... Oh, you will? Thanks so much." You know, playing the whole goody-goody act. This way, you can still be a pain in the ass and still not feel any guilt for being annoying.
-
Yes, you can actually customize and pay like 1.50 (well, its' not 1.50, but first number came into myhead) and order another patty to put on your burger. They can't bitch at you because they CAN do it, and literially have to. They'll foster, "oh, but sir, you'll have to pay more" but then you go "fuck you, I want my extra patty on my burger you fucker." ...and just to be really fucking evil, change your mind AFTER he imputs it. Because then he has to delete the addition of 1 patty, and re-enter it as 2. >_> Not saying I've done that one like oh, every time my poor ass had to eat at McDicks. Although, now I go to the local SafeWay and buy a damn sub there. Its like 5 bucks, but its God damn filling, and its fucking healthy. And the ever so wonderful place where you can build your own burger is called Harvey's (at least in the mighty Great White Fucking Cold North known as Canada). These bastards may be fast food, but at least it tastes like a fucking real thing.

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL

So basically, Sega has only the CFL? Aw nutters... -
Shut up and be glad the bastards didn't actually charge you about 1.50 per extra patty. ...you DID make sure it was the right amount to pay for right? Oh geezus, you fucking wimp. Can't even stuff three of them? During my late night shifts, I ate a six quarter pounder patty burger. I gulped that sucker down in like 10 bites. Although, doing that scared my coworkers shitless. I remember one of the managers, Rob, telling me, "Dorian. Can you at least CHEW the damn burger? You gonna choke and die... And I really need you here to help me out." So you are saying he took the God damned fucking onion, shitty ass mustard, and very old mayo, and put them on a Big Mac? And he thinks its a fucking revolutionary item!? I would highly recommend you consider finding a new friend. Have you ever TRIED working with one of their cash registers? The fucking thing is ridculous. Its like "press once for burger; press twice for burger with mayo; press three times for burger with mayo, mustard, relish; press four times for burger with mayo and mustard; press five times for burger and fries; etc." And then reading which order is where and who gets it is fucking nuts. Someone always steals the order your creating, and then you have to bullshit your way out of not having the order prepare in which you will then steal someone else's order just ot make sure you don't get yelled at by your boss for not having your order ready by 30 seconds. Its a fucking mircle anyone gets a God damned order right. Who are these Hardees'? Are they related to Harvey's?

93 run and on will probably go under a 6 DVD set called "Hollywood Hogan".

I read off and on. The only ones I consistantly read about were Al's baseball columns, simply because his were awesome.

Great, something I've never heard of. Definitely will be much better than this crude. And I'm being totally serious. Considering I still see the almost same amount of Chainfire books in my local bookstore (and Edmonton is a hotbed for fantasy/manga) that's not a good sign on how well the book is. And yes, I asked how it was selling. Not well, which definitely sunk whatever hope I had left for the series.

I'm a prick!? Well, I'll be damned. Can't even like a facet of another culture without being stereotyped. All seriousness now, I know that wasn't intended as slight to the otaku* but of course to the people who've soured your opinion on the otaku. Yes, there are some assholes in the fandom. Although, most of the ones I meet are good guys around where I live. I think for the assholes, they just get a little too much into the "OMG ITS DIFFERENT, WHICH MAKES IT 100% BETTER" mode of thought. As much of anime and/or puroresu have their own faults and negatives. I don't know about puroresu, but I do believe anime is better and I don't think that makes me an elitist prick. I believe they are simply because they put more effort into the overall product. They make storylines that would never be done in North America (not PC enough), have rich vibrant characters, also the artwork is usually second to none, they get famous actors (or rather, Seiryuu**) whom are well known and put their hearts into the roles, and even Japanese musicians are willing to lend their talents. Its like a full realistic TV series production in Japan. Whereas if you compare them to our own anime***, we half ass it really. Most of the music is generic in sound, the art can range from God awful to actually being quite good (but more range into "bleh"), the voice actors are generally never really known outside the few (and don't give that great of a performance in some cases), the characters are pretty stereotypical and don't really evolve, and the storylines are quite basic and PC. However, we've been getting better in our aspect of anime, but until something comes along and is earth shattering in the way it makes more "mainstream", its not gonna be able to have a lasting appeal. Maybe its also because Japanese anime has spoiled me on what I expect from my anime now. I expect them to have robust characters, for the storylines to be outrageous and awesome, for the music to be stellar, to be able to know who is playing the characters in the anime, and for the animation to be nearly pristine in nature. But at least this is my thought as to why I consider it "better" and not "OMG ITS ALL BETTER AND YOU CAN STUFF YOUR CARTOONS WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE, CAUSE ANIME ROCKS AND THERE ISN'T ANYTHING BETTER!" There are some animes of North American that I think rack up better than some of the Japanese. I just prefer the whole product of the anime to its current counterpart. I also believe this is the case for most of the otaku as well, so I don't think you should include all of us in the "elitist" category. Some of us take our passion for our anime too seriously to stop and think about not trying to come off as a bastard when we speak about it. Below is just some helpers in case you are lost on some of my usage of Japanese words. * - Otaku is Japanese for fandom, if I remember my Japanese correctly, its usually used in a negative connotation, whereas in North America it is used in an positive term. Go figure. ** - Seiryuu is Japanese for voice actor. These voice actors are highly touted celebrities and well known for the voice works they do. Some of them are even as big of stars as regular actors. In North America, however, you hardly ever would know who does voice acting, nor do they get the same treatment as regular actors. *** - Anime is really just Japanese for animation, which should make it perfectly acceptable to use the same word for cartoons. If I recall though, it isn't acceptable for the usage I just used it in, but I can't remember why.

As I said, Jordan waits till his series fans out so that he rakes in the cash. Apparently he's got about 5+ left in the series (as there's still a LOT of shit to get through now), so I don't know exactly when that timeframe is. Give about 10-15 years if he doesn't actually get off his ass to finish them. However, we've now deviated off topic, so I shall restore the topic by getting back on it. As for myself getting Chainfire, I don't think so. I'd rather get a series I'm not disappointed in and hasn't piddled itself away.
-
I'm in agreement that The Sword of Truth was a finished tale in the third book. But I'm not sure if its Goodkind actually making the call on piddling away the series or his publisher, since he seemed to have finished it with the third book and then "boom" it was on again... Although Jordan was most likely himself, whom I think we can agree is a greedy and smart bastard for his series (let the series die out, bring out new book, have hordes of people flock in). Although after Chainfire, the series ends in 3 more books (can't remember if Chainfire is apart of that 3 or not). So I might just pick it up so I can have my set of books completed.

So I get to face off against the guy who took out Vern? ...great. Watch me lose in a mindblowing upset.
-
Wait... EWR is Canadian? WHERE? And I'll hurt you if you say Ontario.
-
If it was in Calgary, I'd be there instantly. On topic, I don't understand why they don't let him. I'm quite positive Lance could get quite a few bright new stars out of our province. Simply because those who'd apply would want to be like the Harts, Benoit, Jericho, Storm, etc. They'd work themselves to hard to get to the squared ring. But how many of these "good" workers became top-tier wrestlers? That's something he tends to forget. Although, Vince forgets a lot these days. And I'm not sure we should blame OVW for the "tatted army" when in fact some of the talent is actually good, but get neutered by the WWE upon call up.

...my God, I even said "holy shit" every time one of those spots happened. Not chanting, but like "holy shit, I did not just see that." That right there totally reminds me why I loved wrestling. The music giving off that feel of do or die, the actual match giving off the sense that both men will take and give everything for that Belt of Gold, and some spots that just make you go "is this really fake?!" (exception being that superplex on the ladder, but still enough to make me go "oh fuck I didn't see that"). That was an insane carwreck. Glad to have seen it. Domo arigato gozaimasu, Tod.

Let nl submit some scores, cause I really don't want someone winning by default myself. Just seems so cheap.
-
Double that VX. Double that.
-
If Arizona wins, they play Green Bay while Atlanta get the winner of Giants vs. Rams. This is like some sort of plot against both Arizona and Green Bay to have to go through such a hard match before facing me. Almost a test of will. And yes, I just wrote off the Rams, Giants and Lions. *shrugs* I've gotta be confident in Atlanta since its the KKK Bowl or bust.
-
Yes EWR is freeware. Anyone asking for your credit card for EWR 4 is nuts and needs to be shot.
-
That's only a winning % of .625. That isn't very great. Very good as you say, yes. Very great, no.
-
Well, I managed to go 13-3 this season after having been 7-9 last season. To say I turned things around is an understatement. Although, 20-12 isn't too great overall.
-
So where's the KKK Bowl going to be this year? Or are we just having it at the team with the best overall record in the finals? *grins* Just cause I wanna know these things. GO ATLANTA!
-
Ok FIVE TEAMS tied with 10-6 in the AFC Ok, that's just flipping nuts. Have fun with those tiebreakers kkk.
-
That's news to me, especially since there weren't point spreads last year. And V-X is right regarding tie-breaker progression... I was seeing how many people who've bought that. Apparently everyone. And well fuck on the part of me tying VX. I want my bye dammit. Oh, both of us have already clinched a first round bye due to being the top two teams in the NFC (and NFL for that matter), it's just a matter of who ends up #1. Since the playoff system in our league is so wacky, it'd be a matter of pride for me to end up #1 (and thus homefield) after chasing you all season long. You chasing me most season? I spent half of it chasing you, you spent the other half chasing me. It'd be ironic if we'd end up tied. And we had to play for the NFC Title Game. And the winner won the KKK Bowl.

Third Annual SmarkMark Video Game Voting Thread
Lightning Flik replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
If people would've went to the original thread and asked for World of Warcraft or ANY game that wasn't included to be in, it would've been. NOW VOTE PEOPLE FOR BLOODY HADES SAKE!!! See? Even I voted. And remember you make a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place vote. There is a point tally for the games depending on the voting place and by the votes, they will get it. And vote in every freaking category. Even if you don't like the suggestions, still vote. Voting ends December 31st, 2004 at Midnight. -
