  1. WTF?! Rutee and Stahn's gonna be in this? Fuck, wasn't expecting those two.
  2. There is a God and he likes me.
  3. If its like Kingdom Hearts, it'll probably sell.
  4. Its not funny if you make fun of yourself.
  5. SD3 while a good game, pretty much screwed up the Mana mythology that was created in the first two games. Which is a major reason why the creator didn't like the game at all. Then again, I also think it was an entirely different team working on the project. The major bitchfest I have with Lufia is that Lufia: The Rise of the Sinistrals introduce a character at the beginning of the game that could've been used to create a damn well fine sequel, but no one even touches on it. As for Lunar 3, there IS one that's been in the works, or so Woeful Delays tells us. But its like that Mother 3 project. On again, off again. Saga Frontier wasn't bad, however I prefered Saga Frontier II. Now then, back on topic, I hope that since the Soul Eater Rune can make an appearance during Suik IV, that Ted (I think that was his name) shows up, just cause it would make sense.
  6. Of course. Ninjas are cool that way. Nin-nin!
  7. Ok, I guess I should've checked around the place a little more. Heh...
  8. Long story short, my friend introduced me to Ninja Burger and since it looks legit, I'm just wondering if it is and are they any good. Yup... That's about it.
  9. First of all, SD3 was actually hated by series creator and that's why it never game state side. Also, there has been a Lufia 3 and Lufia 4. Sadly, they just borrow the Lufia title and have NO meaning to the timelines at all. It was really sad.
  10. Its a one sided rivalry 2G. They hate your team all the time, while you beg indifference till they crush your team. Or something like that.
  11. There has been rumors going around that one of the mysterious games for any gaming show that Tri-Ace is working on is in fact a sequel to VP2. Seriously though, no one knows what they are up to. Pretty off the radar lately, which usually means they've got something baked and ready to flaunt off at us. Considering this game (Suik IV) is 100 years before the original Suik, can anyone tell me if the Soul Eater Rune makes an appearance. Nah, don't get into specifics, just a yes or no will suffice.
  12. I think the problem that people have with Suikoden IV is that they can't understand that sometimes simple but refined equates to better game. I've read many of the reviews and they are absolutely torching this one on the aspect that people don't know how to play simple games anymore. As you said Special K, that idiot at insidepulse didn't think "hey, ya know since you can use R1 to go faster on land, it obviously should work at sea." And that idiocy isn't alone. Sometimes, I think we RPGamers expect too much "newness" to appreciate the ol' fashioned stuff that makes RPGs what they became.
  13. Right after the WWE became WWE. Originally wasn't on purpose, but slowly became that way. I hardly watch it at all now. Only reason I'd try is for Batista.
  14. Nowadays, if a comic writer can be bring back someone from the dead just so they can make a profit on it, then they'll bring them back. This is one of the reasons why I think comics need to officially end (Jason Todd scares and everything). While its great to have a series run on for decades, sooner or later the well runs dry or the series gets "reborn" just so they can recreate old tales or add new ones.
  15. ...about the right comparison. Good luck Cartman, you better fucking win now.
  16. Reason why you can't find a copy anywhere is the publisher isn't shipping out anymore copies until they find someway to adjust the servers to handle the population problems they are having. And since they said they would never ask playes to relocate or move them manually, well, they are kinda fucked for a solution. Until then, you won't be able to get a copy unless some store has them still for sale.
  17. Its McNabb. Sure, the whole team can be blamed, but the McNabb has to be able to carry his team to the promise land. That's what a good QB can do after a period of time and that period of time is here and now. Sure the whole team will take heat for a 4th loss, but all the pressure is on McNabb as he's been here 4 times. He's supposed to be the leader of the Eagles and is supposed to set the tone and the example. Brady's been there and done that, so its alright if he fails. Both Vick and Ben get automatic pass overs due to the fact that neither of their teams were supposed to click this well after coming off of last season. Hell, I don't understand how Pittsburgh could give any flack to Ben considering its his first season playing as a pro and he's shown that he's something special when he's on his game. No offense Tyler, but your city is nutters to call for heads to roll just because of a rookie QB.
  18. Ok... I'm scared... I actually put 21-17 for the PIT/NE score, but I changed my mind after I thought about it. ...good luck Cartman, as I have a feeling whoever wins our game goes on and wins it all.
  19. Dama, never been in that experience before, but it'll probably take some time to adjust. Its kinda different from cheering people on for most of your while, to becoming one of the guys who gets to be around these guys on a regular basis. BTW, hope ya do good with your job.
  20. And I've sent my picks in... Hopefully I'm right... I really want the two teams to clash in the Superbowl. Good luck to Philly, btw. It'll be a great matchup this weekend. GO FALCONS!
  21. Here's hoping VC manages to secure the deal with the MLB and NBA, which then essentially will fuck over EA badly. EA is probably going "okay, what the fuck did we just start?" Congrats to the 3rd publishing parties for finally fucking over the big guy, since the big guy has been fucking the 3rd parties over forever.
  22. My apologizes, I guess I apparently didn't explain something thoroughly enough, so let me try this again. When I was speaking of pride, I was speaking of pride for the city itself and how the team is a representation of the city. This little extra bit is something that us freelance fans can't get unless we've experienced it. There is no difference in pride of the team and being a fan of the team. If that's what had come across, that was not what I was refering to. Its the pride within the city and the community that is the difference, and that pride in the culture of your home that your team is supposed to represent by having the city's name attatched is what I'm trying to get at. So someone who has experienced living in like Atlanta is a fan of the team, but also a fan of his home. For freelancers like Dama and myself, we are just fans of the team. Just because we only are fans of the team, does not mean we aren't just as big of fans as the rest of you for the team; however, when it comes to also being a fan of the city, we can't relate. I really hope that clears up what I'm trying to get at.
  23. Actually my problem with your argument, is that you are saying we don't feel the same thing for fandom. I'm sorry, but your wrong there. There's is a difference, but you've got the misconception that it is fandom, when it is not. Its not the city's fandom that gives it the little extra, but something else. Why do I say this? Because the city itself is attatched its name to the team and therefore it is the pride of the city that is attatched to it that lets the whole city feel the let down of the team, and not just the fans of the team. By attatching the city's name to the team, you give it a sense of it being your own and therefore it is a symbol of the city. Therefore the extra little bit the city feels when the letdown of losing such a game, is not infact an extra bit of fandom (as it is dependent on the person), but your pride is in fact sullied by the disappoint that soemthing that is presented as "you" didn't succeed. Yes, there is a difference between the two. Fandom the team revolves around the passion you have for the team. Pride for the team revolves around the fact that it is in sense a symbol of what your city represents. And if pride is what you were meaning by "I don't have that little extra" then I can agree with you. I can not get the same sense of pride as you would. Nor should any of us freelance fans, as we wouldn't be able to experience that pride resonating first hand. But pride and fandom are seperate entities and this is why I will never agree with there being a difference between Dama being a fan of the Eagles, Sox, or Celtics; or me being a fan of the Jays, Raptors, Falcons; to someone who actually lives there. As for the examples I used to illustrate the viewpoint that you re-brought up, they were examples of what I mean. Yes, for manga and anime, I won't get all the little subtle culturistic knowledge, but I can still be just as rabid a fan for it. It just means I won't have that culturistic knowledge unless I've experienced it myself. Culture, pride, etc. are not fandom but are apart of the surroundings that have been given to what you are a fan of. These however, do not make anyone less or more of a fan. They only influence the perception of what is being presented for your fandom.
  24. I'm sorry, I don't buy that at all. I don't buy that there's a "difference" simply because you live in a certain place or that. As I said before, if you take that viewpoint, you take the same viewpoint as said before in my examples. And if you only take this viewpoint on fandom solely just for sports, then you are just using it to have the mentality of a little two year old kid who can't give up his favorite toy. Yes, that's quite insulting, but really, you can't half ass something just to suit your needs. Which is what is being done with the term of fan, if you only apply that way of thought with sports. The person themselves determines the fandom. Certain things can help increase that fandom: like being in the city, growing up with the team, etc.; but it is still their own fandom that determines how much of a fan they are. I mean, why do they call fandoms like "Red Sox Nation" and speak of the multitude of fans around the globe on a fair and equal scale, when by your definition of fandom most of these are "less" or "inferior" fans. And I used the Red Sox Nation, because in their own winning speech, they addressed Red Sox fans around the globe. So don't think I'm trying to rag on the Sox or that.
  25. My mind was on other things, so I botched it. Like the discussion on fandom in Sports that I'm participating in. My bad, but still, it pretty much kills whatever they make on the DVD.
