Agreed. They aren't great matches from a "smart" standpoint, but I always find myself pulling for someone and being on the edge of my seat waiting for the winner. Me too . . . and it was cool to see Greg Valentine hang in there with Mr. Perfect as long as he did.

It must have been one w/ Dusty announcing.

Randy Savage To Be In Next Legends Of Wrestling
MillenniumMan831 replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Video Games
Being able to recreate the Hart Foundation vs The Bulldogs would kick ass. Am I the only one who wishes that [shut up] Brutus Beefcake was in this? If only for nostalgia? Reteaming the Dream Team [Valentine & Beefcake] would kick all kinds of ass. It'd be better than Dino Bravo, that's for sure. -
Which WM XX Match are You Most Excited for?
MillenniumMan831 replied to SamoaRowe's topic in General Wrestling
I've missed almost all SDs for the past couple months, but after watching last week's Angle glare and beatdown on Eddie, that has leapfrogged all other matches for me. As AiG said, it'll be a great match to get pumped for because it really doesn't matter who wins since we're finally seeing arguable the 2 best on SD in a WWE Title Match at WrestleMania. Should be great! -
I just have to add a Dustyism from the Slamborree 1996 Battle Royal. In typical WCW fashion, an 8 man battle royal is apparently too hectic for one camera angle, so we got the split screen. Dusty: Lookie here, Dual Deals! Tony: Dual deals? Dusty: Well yeah, ya know if ya gotta TV at home you got 2 TVs in da middle uhdit. Dats progress.

Anyone who appreciates the commentating genius of The Dream is cool with me.

Actually, I'm in the States, but I could ship it to Canada . . . I really don't know what $15 US translates into Canadian currency though.

London WILL be in the Cruiserweight Open at Mania
MillenniumMan831 replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
No doubt about that. London was phenominal and is just what WWE needs to pop the crowd early on in that match. I also rmember Bill asking if Josh would enter and Josh declined . . . or that may have been last week. -
I got a bad feeling they'll just tape "ECW" before Smackdown and change the watermark at the bottom left of the screen. Other than that, it'll probably be same ol same ol.

Yeah. I was almost about to give up and sell it to the used cd store, but they are yours if you want them.

She just happened to be a busty "EMT" who'd pop in in the second half of 1999 who obviously attracted attetntion. I believe her last appearance came after RR2000 when the Dudleyz put her through a table on SD.

Nah, the Gang beat Sasaki at a Nitro taping billed as a "Main Event" Exclusive match on TBS . . . I think.
-
Fine, but then shipping is $30.

Early 1995 before WMXI. I think it was the final 4 week Raw taping before WMXI IIRC>
-
Hmmm . . . I had the Invasion of Raw at the Manhattan Center in 1997 in mind. I'm trying to think back to my BTWS2 dvd. I would have to say my other and final guess would be D-Von Dudley.

I loved in 2 of 3 weeks Vince had Mankind protecting him (in the hospital with Mr. Socko and in the back playing Twister with Vinnie) until Foley got on his nerves so much that he kicked him out leaving Open Season for Austin.

I F'N loved that vignette. IIRC, Stevie was in the back after his match with Goldberg on Raw clutching his ribs. He then fires the janitor cleaning up the mess in the locker room complete with the Vince-esque "You're FIRED!" Then, Al Snow appears out of nowhere so Stevie shoves a microphone in his hand and tells him since Snow wants to interview Richards so bad (with Snow sporting a bored look on his face) he can have a "Stevie Night Exclusive." Richards rants on about how if Goldberg met Richards on Heat, GB would go down. All the while, Victoria is in the background making snow angels. I don't know if this was a gag on Al or not. As Richards is trying to keep a straight face, Victoria is screaming "Look Stevie . . . Snow! Snow!!" Like a father trying to calm down his kid, Richards looks back and mutters, "Snow . . . great." I wish I would have taped that segment.

10 worst WWF/E buyrates of all time
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
While many of the Main Events looked entertaining on paper (especially for the IYH ppvs), there just wasn't any doubt that the champ would retain in most of the matches. I mean who bought Mankind as WWF Champ in 1996? Or the Bulldog? Or even the Patriot? Of all those cards, I'd say the July 1996 IYH (International Incident) looked the least interesting. -
He was also the ring announcer in LA's portion of WM2.

I liked Vince's tirade after Austin had a pullapart with Mike Tyson. "YOU'VE RUINED IT! YOU'VE RUINED IT!!!"
-
Just wanted to add that Owen Hart's cowardly heel antics in his match w/ Ahmed are classic.
