  1. Totally agree with the Badd/Austin one. That's just sloppy. Can't help ya with the 1993 "Title switch" though.
  2. I agree, although I didn't agree with the announcer getting all over the RB's case for not going out of bounds. Hell, he got 1st Downs and was knocked out of bounds for the most part during that drive. Whew, that XP was CLOSE!
  3. The only episode I saw. I thought it was good enough to keep on the air.
  4. For years, the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers had a program with Taco Bell that if the Cavs won (which is plenty rare enough) AND scored 100+ points, every fan in the arena (all 485 of them) would get a FREE chalupa. I believe it ended with the drafting of LeBron. But believe me, Taco Bell would not have to part with many free chalupas. I remember one time the Cavs were crushing the Magic and actually hit 100 points with under a minute left when the radio announcer Joe Tait screamed out, "CHALUPA! CHALUPA!! CHALUPA!!!" It was a magical night indeed.
  5. Who could forget Keith and Kent with the beachy mullets? Although, I was a mark for Thunder & Lightning.
  6. REPO MAN was great . . . Damn shame they edited out the glass shattering at WMX7 and worse yet, he lasted about 3 seconds in the match. He should've repossessed Cornette's tennis racket on his way out. Then Cornette is all WTF and gets dumped. He then chases after Repo Man for the rest of the night. Kinda like the Hardcore Hijinx at WMX8.
  7. Now I have flashbacks from The Jerk. The new phone books come in and Steve Martin's character (Navin, I believe) is overjoyed: "The new phonebooks are here! The new phonebooks are here!! My name in print! This is the kind of spontaneous publicity that can get me places in life!!!" (Cut to hilljack with a gun. He randomly opens phonebook, closes eyes, and points at Navin's name.)
  8. Heenan and Schiavone reunited . . . that could be awkward.
  9. I thought his match with Tito Santana on Grudge Matches 93 was very good.
  10. I loved the spot from the first Rock Concert when: ------------------------------------------------------- Rock: Alright, before I play my next song, I want everybody here to do The Rock a favor and KEEP IT DOWN BABY, KEEP IT DOWN! (Crowd boos . . . Rock starts warming up his guitar and clearing his throat) Rock: Hey hey hey hey hey!!! KEEP IT DOWN!!! ------------------------------------------------------- It was just so old school in the way he got heat that I had no choice but to admire it.
  11. I always mark for 1993-1996 Jerry Lawler matches. Especially when he badmouths the crowd first.
  12. Bumpola! Super Slams was a pretty good tape. I also enjoyed JJ/Adam Bomb. The spot where the Roadie dove to save JJ's bottled water was brilliant.
  13. Source: www.videogames.com I guess Heenan will be doing commentarty after all.
  14. Reading Brandon's shoot reviews are my favorite part of Monday nights.
  15. Mostly, Inside . . . Gross Outside . . . Hilarious.
  16. Ironically enough, they played that same angle a year earlier, but without any significant meaning. Really? I know they did the same thing on Raw in 1996 with Goldust/Savio Vega, but nothing in 1994. Of course, I kinda fell out of wrestling from late 1993-late 1994. I think it was to push a House Show feud with Doink, but it's been too lnog to really remember. Did Hollys title win officially count when he "beat JArrett" in 1995? I really don't know, but I know for sure that the title was held up. I remember Holly leaving with the belt over his shoulder as JJ was in the ring bellyhooing to anyone who'd listen. The next segment went something like: Rougeau: I've just gotten word from Jack Tunney the following . . . Bob Holly . . . you are not the I-C Champion. JJ: Ah ha, give the belt back to the champ. Rougeau: Wait a minute . . . Jeff Jarrett . . . you are not the I-C Champ either. In fact, Jack Tunney has ordered a rematch NEXT WEEK on Action Zone for the vacant I-C Title. (Fade to black) The only reason I remember it as well as I do is because I had it on tape up until a few years ago.
  17. I bet the money they'd have given Goldust next year will probably go to a returning Kurrgan.
  18. I would guess that photo was from 1992-93.
  19. From SummerSlam 1994: Savage: And now, I'm going to do the thing in the ring! Vince: (Must've been a bit befuddled) Yes, Macho Man gonna do da ting uh da ting!
  20. Ironically enough, they played that same angle a year earlier, but without any significant meaning. Really? I know they did the same thing on Raw in 1996 with Goldust/Savio Vega, but nothing in 1994. Of course, I kinda fell out of wrestling from late 1993-late 1994.
  21. In honor of Dusty Rhodes being in Legends of Wrestling: Showdown in April, I've decided to start a Dusty Finish thread. List your favorite/least favorite Dusty Finishes here. FAVORITE --- WWF, 1995, Action Zone, IC Title Match --- Jeff Jarrett defending against Bob "Sparkplug" Holly. IIRC, Jarrett retains with his feet on the ropes. However, another ref lets the original ref know what happened. So, the match is restarted. Holly then hits a dropkick for the 3-Counbt despite JJ having his foot on the ropes. Holly doesn't stick around. He leaves with the strap. We go to a commercial break and in the final segment, Holly and JJ are seen arguing backstage when the One and Only Raymond Rougeau lets the 2 know that Jack Tunney has ordered a rematch for the vacant belt NEXT WEEK on Action Zone. I didn't see the rematch, but I know that JJ got the duke. LEAST FAVORITE --- Bah, I'll let you guy list them because my fraile and weak brain can't come up with any good ones.
  22. WTF is wrong with Joe Namath?!? "I want to kiss you." Suzy sounded terrified.
  23. Double shame he's not on commentary w/ Tony Schiavone.
  24. I do miss the theme of the day. They oughta reinstate him on the condition tht he only pposts entrance themes.
  25. Is Austin even allowed to partake in the beer bashes? His probation was lifted months ago. Fair enough, but he's been doing beer bashes seemingly right after he came back.
