Disoriented over not having just won the match, The Masked Man gets to his feet and lets Andrea roll Birdman out of the ring and help walk him to their corner. Cortez shouts at Masked Fury to get his head in the match, prompting Masked Man to dead lift the Urban Legend over the top rope. What follows cannot be described in words, but it has the desired effect, as the crowd begins cheering for 42nd Street. “What is this, a GAP commercial? Are they really...” “SWING DANCING! Great jitterbugging Hera, I think Masked Man and Todd Cortez are swing dancing! By Grabthar’s hammer, they’re doing the CHARLESTON!!” Comet marks out completely as 42nd Street perform the difficult dance steps to absolutely no music, making it look even weirder. “Wait! Did you just say ‘By Grabthar’s hammer’? That’s not even mythological! You got that from Galaxy Quest. You’re not even trying any more Comet.” Riley says. Cortez and Masked Man end with a wonderful flourish as Andrea rolls Birdman into the ring, tags herself in, and rolls Birdy back out. Todd heads back to his corner and Andrea steps up to confront Masked Man. Rather than strike out, Masked Man strikes a pose and starts another dance! As one might expect, he’s doing the twist, straight out of Pulp Fiction, but the unexpected aspect of this situation is that Andrea Montgomery is also dancing! Cortez grits his teeth, hoping it’s some kind of trap to lure Andrea into a false sense of security, but if it is a trap, it’s got a long setup. The crowd seems to feel the same way, and show it! THIS IS BOR-ING! CLAP-CLAP! CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!! THIS IS BOR-ING! CLAP-CLAP! CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!! THIS IS BOR-ING! CLAP-CLAP! CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!! Undaunted by the crowd’s reaction, Andrea and the Maskosaurus continue to dance. “Andrea Montgomery and The Masked Man and brought this match to a grinding halt with this dance competition they’ve got going. I wonder when they’ll finish.” Comet muses, slightly agitated. “I think it’s a trick. Masked Man is going to wait until Andrea leaves an opening and then BAM! Cautionary Tale, one, two, three, match over, champions retain.” Riley says hopefully. Contrary to Robert’s prediction, Masked Man simply continues to dance with Andrea, and the crowd ups their anger. ENOUGH DANCING! Finally getting the point that the crowd isn’t into the dance-off, Andrea and Masked Man stop their gyrations, and it appears that they’re going to allow each other to catch their breath. Andrea has other plans, though, and lands a dropkick to the doubled over and winded Masked Fury! As TMM gets back to his feet, he catches a spin kick to the face, staggering him. Andrea lands an elbow to his head before heading to the ropes. Off the rebound, Andrea goes into a forward roll, springing up and snaring Masked Man’s head. As Drea is completing the Tuckerman and Roll, Masky manages to wriggle out slightly, thus not taking the full brunt of the jawbreaker, but is slightly dazed anyway. Andrea goes to the ropes again, going into a front handspring and bouncing against them. Andrea flips backwards and snares Masked Man in a three-quarters facelock and continues going up. As she’s nearly vertical, Andrea tries to fall forward, but Masked Man knows the diamond cutter too well and he grabs hold of Andrea’s waist and begins leaning backwards. And that's how it should have been. Oh, and at the end, Comet was supposed to say he spilled his juice box, not Pepsi Max. I haven't read the whole match, but I wonder if anything else was changed....GRRR

The discussion for the quarterback thread seems to have died down, so I figure I'd make another similar thread because I have nothing better to do. So, which types of running backs do you folk prefer? The North/South, pound it up the middle backs like Jerome Bettis, or the East/West, run past you/juke you out of your helmet, ala Barry Sanders? I didn't respond in the first one I made, since I honestly didn't have a strong opinion for either. However, I tend to prefer the speedy, jukey types for a halfback, but I want fullbacks to be bruisers. I feel that this type of thread can go to other sports, but I mostly follow football, basketball, and some rugby, so if someone thinks a baseball, hockey, soccer/football or whatever position has variation to warrant such a topic, I don't have patent rights on this. Think I'll shut up now...

I can understand you being happy if you wrote the match. But it was a match where you lost your title and such. Besides, JD vs. Clark has tied it up. And stuff.

But he's got a multi-man match with a zany stip. I've sent the tag match for Birdy to look over at around 12k. That simply shows that Maddix = insane.

Considering Johnny went apeshit over Toxxic simply offering to look over Spike's match once, I doubt he'd go for it. There's no real thinking behind this, but I figured I'd see how the TSM people feel about this. Anyway, this first matter of opinion (And if response is good, there might be more), I ask the question: Which kind of quarterback do you prefer, the Bernie "Just be glad I dropped back to pass" Kosar type or the Randall Cunnigham type? And once again, Atlanta doesn't make the playoffs. I am so close to no-selling them right now. Anyway, too bad that Henderson didn't get the triple crown. Uh, considering my team isn't in the playoffs, I don't have too much to say, other than the fact that the West in SFBL is like the East in the NBA. I already amz teh vote for JD vs. Clark. I didn't think it was right to vote for my own match, especially with so many better candidates. Speaking of which, this was a bit of a tough decision for me. It was between JD/Clark and Flesher/Spikey. But Sly/Dustin was good. I suppose I should have read Dustin and Dangerous/Hunt and Maddix prior to voting. You know, Dubby, Crowe might actually have been writing longer than you, since he did start up a similar-style e-fed on his Ez board. Then again, I don't know specifically how that was set up, since I didn't take part. But I do know that writing was involved. And so was practically everyone's favorite Brit (No offense to Toxx, Aecas, Dace, and the others), Ad Van Dam, if you weeeeeeeeeeel. And since nobody has a fucking clue as to what I'm talking about, I'll leave it at that.

It adjusts the difficulty of various aspects of the game. When you go to change the difficulty, you'll notice the red bars move. At rookie, it's like 100% for everything in the "human" category, which means the player will run better, fatigue slower, etc. and the sliders under "CPU" are at 0%, so they play poorly. Up the difficulty, and the sliders change. Adjusting sliders basically means that say pro is too easy, but all-pro is a bit too challenging, so you manually adjust the sliders to something that feels right. And this goes to the person who's complaining over all of the injuries sustained, just lower the injury slider, and things should be better.

Nice to see Gonzales possibly finish his career with yet another injury. At least, I hope it's the end of his career. He needs to retire. Now! Too bad that Atlanta couldn't have a good season.

Bah @ you people just now seeing the light. I saw it back in 00, on the Dreamcast, NFL2K, and every Sega/Visual Concepts/whatever game since then, so there is no gameplay change. I've never played Madden on any of the "next-gen" consoles and such. I do think it is odd that the cover athelete has changed so much. I mean, from 2K - 2K2, it was Moss. Then we had Urlacher, Sapp, and now TO. Wonder who'll be next, yet that's neither here nor there. Oh, and Frigid, so far, of the players I've unlocked (Berman, Trey Wingo, Steve-O, and Arquette), all but Boomer have been half backs. I don't know who else is unlockable, so you might have the runningest team ever. Ah, I miss the days of Kage Maru, Wolf Hawkfield, and Beat, with their crazy face accessories. Not only them, but the old school players, like Payton, Lott, Taylor, and the like. But yet again, that is neither here nor there.
