  1. Baldomir doesnt seem to be too 'powerful'...but he is really accurate, and he just keeps throwing punches. He's been able to school Zab and steamroll Gatti without ever being troubled by either guys' shots. Carlos Baldomir is the fighter of the year so far...and, he has done far more than Margarito, though his nuthuggers will just say he's being 'ducked'.
  2. I no, M I rite? Hi 5!
  3. THERS NO POVRTY IN MERICA!
  4. Goddam.
  5. Getting the news from Sean Hannity is like cheating on a test by looking at the special ed kid's paper.
  6. Can I get some mad snipsnap flimflam fo' skrilla on the wizzeekend, pimp?
  7. Judah didn't seem to bother Baldo a whole lot with his punches either and he was undisputed welterweight champion at the time. Guy's got a plenty good chin. And Shane's left hook that dropped Nando was petty cool.
  8. Everyone play nice or Choken One will tell his mom.
  9. Stay in Wisco, Carlos.
  10. Can Jesse Ventura's voice be used for any of the matches he called? He was edited from all the WWF ppv stuff on the Dusty Rhodes set...but I remember the Steel Cage dvd had him/Vince in the highlights for the main feature. That match really needs Jesse for his debate with McMahon.
  11. I heart ditchweed.
  12. Jesus, Gatti really took a fucking beating...Baldomir just would not stop punching.

    Gatti-Baldomir

The Arturo Gatti-Carlos Baldomir fight is tonight, on HBO. This is basically guranteed to be entertaining. Replay of Mosley-Vargas 2 up first.
  14. More proof that evanderholyfieldsmissingear can beat Chuck Liddell... http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=80603
  15. Radio Rock and Cuntry.
  16. Goddam...Christian radio is even worse. How can anyone stand to listen to this stuff? I also know people who only listen to these stations. I just dont get this masochism inside some people.
  17. She must be a proud lady.
  18. If it was absolutely necessary to attack a second country...was Iraq really a bigger threat than Iran or North Korea or others? Or, if this boatload of cash really NEEDED to be spent, might it not gone to something like an all-out hunt for Osama bin Laden? Damn, this war is costing a fucking lot...and I'm really not seeing much stability or demise of 'Islamofascism' going on. Maybe its just my Daily Liberal Brainwashing on C-SPAN.
  19. ChokenHawk's biggest lie of late has been that he is 'smart.'
  20. Iron Mike Shape.
  21. That would explain the poor promotion of this show.
  22. There's actually confusion about this?
  23. Damn...and you say that C-Bacon is Anti-American?
  24. Czech - I'm on the other side of the state...but I'll harass them anyway. I really can't stand public radio...my mom listens to it all the time, and several friends. It is definitly biased to the liberal side, and it seems like the only conservative (and it's never an actual conservative, but just another modern-Republican) viewpoint they air is from the hillbilly type. It's just as bad/annoying as Fox News but I can't convince anyone I know to shut it off. I dont mind PBS television, sometimes they show decent concerts and I really like when Charlie Rose has William Buckley as a guest...but those pledge drives, especially when I lived in B-more, gave me consistent migraines.

    Boxing on OLN

By Karl Freitag Promoter Bob Arum says the new Top Rank boxing series on the OLN Network will bring the future and the past of boxing to a whole new audience. Starting July 27, the series opens with middleweight contender Kelly Pavlik vs Bronco McKart plus jr middle Anthony Thompson in action at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, CT. The second live OLN card will be August 10 in Las Vegas with WBC 108lb champion Brian Viloria and middleweight bomber John Duddy. In addition to the live fights, OLN will present classic fights from the vast Top Rank library featuring Muhammad Ali, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, George Foreman, Oscar De La Hoya and many other stars. Arum said the first installment in the "Legends of Boxing" series will feature Muhhammad Ali vs Oscar Bonavena and the broadcasts will not only show the fights, but tell the story round the fights. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "There hasn't been regular boxing with rising stars on a continuous basis on television," said Arum. "ESPN has dropped the ball in my opinion, because they're all over the place, they pay very meager fights fees, there's no continuity. We're going to change that.....with the budget that we're working with from OLN, we'll have very, very competitive fights. A lot of champions are going to come out of this and I really think this is going to help bring about a renaissance in the sport of boxing." -fightnews McKart is definitly past his prime, but that should be a really good indicator of where powerpunching Kelly Pavlik is in his progression. Messenger Thompson is a decent looking prospect, his opponent, Matthew Said is coming off a win over Johnathon Reid (33-3) and a draw with Antwun Echols this year. And, of course, Ali-Bonavena never ceases to entertain.
