Here's my new question: drugs are bad and all (the serious ones, like Heroin and whatnot), but they make musicians make good music. Does it negate the artistic integrity of said artist if they did mind-altering drugs while making music? Ray Charles, etc. Be thorough in your answer please, I have a paper to write.

The person makes the music, not the drugs. I've never seen an acid sheet put together a Grammy-winning album. This kinda relates to a time IDRM said that I'd left the craziest voicemail ever on his phone, and how some of the shit I was talking about was impossible for him to conceptualize. I told him if one person can think it up, so can another. The material's already there, nature gave us a rockin' brain. Drugs just allow you to step outside of the world for a little while and think about things differently, or make some music.
