  1. Early 60s, French, and what I'd best call sci-fi film noir. It was set in some future dystopian society, and really all I can remember about right now is that there was a guy walking around in some hallways with some kind of siren going on and on and on. I caught the last half hour or so of it on the Independent Film Channel or Sundance or one of those networks about two and a half years ago and remember it being really awesome. I just can't remember what it's called. Anyone?
  2. Of course, the other edge of that sword is that folks at those can be the most fervent and conservative.
  3. The real deal believers go to places like this. No air conditiong, a furnace for cold winters, and virtually in the middle of nowhere. Much like the church near my aunt's former house outside of Morehead City, NC. If I went to church, I'd insist on going to a small one, regardless of how far I'd have to drive. Big ones just kinda suck the spirit out of it for me.
  4. You have a penis, you're invited.
  5. I honestly don't think I can pick a winner in the Cotton Bowl. Were Ainge or even Schaffer able to play I'd pick the Vols. Their performance against Auburn in the second half gives me a lot of confidence though. Most teams would have just wilted, but Tennessee's second-half nature is not one to overlook. Fulmer's had a month to work on this game and get Clausen in a gameplan made for him rather than patchwork stuff put together trying to shove him into an Ainge-tailored system leading up to the SEC Title game. Only game of A&M's that I've seen more than a few plays of is the game against OK State. From what I understand it's an even matchup for Tennessee. I'll pick the Vols, but by 10 or less.
  6. ... Evenflow?
  7. I missed the whole game, but that was one hellacious drive by Navy in the 3rd/4th quarter. Awesome stuff.
  8. I will never understand the appeal of guns.
  9. Man you're terrible.
  10. ...
  11. I think it'd be nice for Navy to win a bowl, myself.
  12. They close at the same time as the bars, which is 2am.
  13. It won't be a beating, but a sound 10-15 point victory to be sure.
  14. Kaminksy's is a Charleston area group of coffee shop/bar/dessert places. There are a pair downtown, and one across the river in Mount Pleasant. Very relaxing place, and where I always arrange meetings with new people. A fudge brownie sundae that's to die for. If nothing else, at least come see the awesome new $450M bridge we're building.
  15. Next Monday is the Sugar Bowl also.
  16. Texas won't beat Michigan. Mack Brown can't win big games. He'll wet himself as soon as he leaves the tunnel and sees the Rose Bowl full of people.
  17. Hey, that Orton/Christian match shot is the most realistic of the whole spread. A chinlock.
  18. Since I won't see it until next year, The Aviator. 2005's all about Episode III for me. Other shit just happens to be around.
  19. That shirt actually sounds cool as hell.
  20. Unless you're really smarky, you'll see it pretty even-keeled. They say they (the WWF) were losing a lot during the course of the program.
  21. Yup, Texas. They're nice enough to re-sign a coach that can't beat OU and completely lay down every year.
  22. The ECW DVD is the best of the ones I've seen thus far. The Monday Night War DVD was disappointing, not for any revisionist stuff (I felt it was pretty evenly told), but because it really REALLY warranted two discs. I suppose they didn't want to go to the trouble of blurring all the Raw stuff.
  23. Just shows that you have to come to play every game, and OK State getting smothered shows you can't let yourself stumble backwards into a bowl game.
