  1. Commish, I need a ruling: what's the word on re-released albums?
  2. Uhh... Will we win a game against the Pacific this year?
  3. I don't see them getting rid of Hellga or Militia; they've at least got personalities and fans. They've got to introduce more events that are more conducive to whatever it is that Hellga is good at, though...
  4. I hate the Lakers...
  5. Eh, put me down for a solid maybe to write as WC. Or, as we say at the card table, it's a P... but it's a strong P...
  6. Sort of stop time and then give in-match commentary, a la Zack from Saved by the Bell?
  7. Nah, I have been sufficiently chastised. No more trash talk from me. I'll just beat you and keep quiet about it...
  8. Far better writers than you have tried and failed, my dear...
  9. I'm feeling the Voltron love... The best adaptation of a Japanese cartoon ever... until Ted Turner ruined it.
  10. I'm generally not a big fan of live albums but, in this group's case, I'll make an exception: Earth, Wind & Fire - Greatest Hits Live One of the most influential (and eminently listenable) groups of the seventies, and this is a live performance of their best hits: September, Shining Star, Let's Groove, Boogie Wonderland, Reasons, After the Love is Gone... Solid Gold, from start to finish.
  11. I need a Bruner match for storyline purposes... I'll try to write as WC for the next show. And Tagia, come get some.
  12. You should talk; Los Angeles is a shithole.
  13. Jeebus... childhood? I was a freshman in college when that album came out.
  14. Sacramento is not a shitty city. It's exactly the kind of city I'd want to raise my son in... if I were willing to pack up my whole life and move across the country...
  15. Well, I wasn't planning on taking a rap album with any of my next three picks, so chances are you'll get at least one.
  16. Fuck. You.
  17. Well, I don't know whether you wrote or not, but it looked at the time like you read it at least once before it was turned in... But yeah, you guys were our first tag team victims... Jay Dawg even ate the first Dangerous Drop in the WF (I think Jack the Ripper took the first ever), which, interestingly enough, wasn't the actual finisher. EDIT - My bad: here's the show. :: waits for Muzz to remind me how full of myself I am ::
  18. Well, I'll always have a warm place in my heart for Jay Dawg; he put me over when it was nothing in it for him, just to advance a storyline that I was unwittingly thrust into when Johnny was in one of his flaky periods. Plus, me and Johnny beat Jay Dawg and Bo in our first tag team match; I remember them being... less than pleased with that...
  19. Having been around for the tail end of Bo's last run, the portrayal of him as the bitter, jaded veteran trying to help his protege avoid his mistakes really resonates. No love for Drazon, though? I'm shocked...
  20. Man... TNT puts together a sweet hype package...
  21. This promo appears to rate an 18 on the unintentional comedy meter....
  22. I guess I'd better head to the seventies before TheOriginalOrangeGoblin takes all the good shit: Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" I've read that some of Stevie's other albums are more critically acclaimed, or more culturally and socially significant. But, when it comes to music I like, I could get a rat's ass about cultural or social significance. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, period. It has two fairly well-known songs: "I Wish" (which Will Smith used as the backbone of his hit single "Wild Wild West"), and "Pastime Paradise" (which Coolio stole for the smash hit "Gangsta's Paradise"). But, it also has the under-appreciated "Sir Duke" and my personal favorites "As" and "Another Star."
