As I recall, Xpac made a career out of jobbing on PPV, only to get his win back on TV, when a much larger audience was watching. Not that I condone it, but... The only thing that vexes me about the title change is that it seems to cheapen the Gauntlet match: Kong had two consecutive title shots on PPV, where she failed to win, and then was assigned the #4 contender ranking after the Gauntlet match... so how did she manage to get a rematch before the three ranked ahead of her?

Are you sure that wasn't the ankle injury from last night?

While I certainly wouldn't say that Maria is unattractive, I'm inclined to lean towards the "not that hot" crowd. My list doesn't match Carlito Brigante but, based on my own tastes in women, I've still got four Divas in WWE that I'd list as more attractive (to me) than Maria. -
Big Baby is a Haws, Bah Gawd! He was a man in the fourth, no doubt. For a couple of minutes, I felt ashamed that I watched more of this game than I have the Kings tonight... But then I remembered that this was a good fucking game, and we suck this year, and it soon passed.

So... Kong being ranked as the #4 contender, based on the results of that Gauntlet match, would seem to be a dead giveaway that she's going over Kim at Final Resolution, wouldn't it? Here's to hoping that Kong/ODB is as good as Kong/Kim has been... -
Damn, the Sonics are really bad.

Man, Boyz II Men was one great group. "On Bended Knee" was one of the best songs of the 1990s, totally. When I was little, someone got me a teddy bear that played "Water Runs Dry." Cute. When you were little? Damn, I was nineteen when that song came out...

Man... Curry is shitting all over our "defense."

Damn, $550 every two weeks? I remember those days... ... Those were not good days... -
All I got was to spend Christmas with my son and my family for the first time in three years... which is all I really wanted, anyway. I did get to see the Hawks beat the Pacers with my pops, son, nephew and cousin, but I paid for it, so I don't know if that counts... EDIT - My 4000th post came in an SWF thread! W00t~!

The Motown sound, baby. It's all about the Motown sound...

Did Dana Jacobsen get fired quit? Every time I tune in to that show, someone else seems to be "filling in" for her.

You can say that, but you would be wrong; my man has a Bravia, and we have a Panasonic TC-32LX700 in our video lab at work... It's just not that big a deal. -

Hrmm... I wasn't going to bring this back up, since the mods closed the old thread before I could respond, but since the HD subject has been brought back up by somebody else, I'd wanted to reply to this last post from skullman80: I didn't say it wasn't noticeable, I said it wasn't life-changing. I've seen HD on a quality television, and it's just not that big a deal. I'm sorry that I didn't have the "I was blind, but now I see" moment that Marvin and some of the rest of you had, but I can seriously take it or leave it. If somebody told me tomorrow that I could never watch anything in HD again, I wouldn't miss it, even a little bit. To bring it back to wrestling, I disagree that HD could possibly enhance my wrestling watching experience in any way whatsoever. I mean, I can see the wrestlers just fine as it is: why should I give two shits whether I can more clearly see the nicotine stains on their fingers or, as others have intimated, the acne on their back? I honestly don't believe that you can name one thing that HD makes it possible for me to see which SD does not, that would actually improve my wrestling watching experience. -

It's not like the picture difference is small. It's not like the difference is life changing, either. I've never once watched a movie/sporting event/TV program in HD and thought to myself, "Son of a bitch, how did I ever watch TV without this?" It might be a better picture, but it's seriously not that critical; I've seen the difference between SD and HD, and I've never seen anything on TV, ever, where I thought to myself "Shit, I couldn't possibly enjoy this in SD. It's HD or NOTHING!" It's just not, by any measure, essential to whether I can or cannot enjoy what I'm watching on television and, frankly, I can't even conceive of why it should be. -
It's Slim, not Sim. And, unless I'm mistaken, UH licked balls when they were the "Rainbow Warriors," so citing them doesn't exactly help the pro-rainbow argument.
-
Your assessment sucks, and no hetero male should be made to wear a jersey with a rainbow on it.
-
Isn't there some reasonable compromise between short-shorts and the culottes that players wear now? Hell, compared to what they used to wear, those weren't even the real short shorts...
-
Damn; Detroit beat Milwaukee like the Bucks owed them some money...

I've got two words for ya: Gerald motherfuckingWallace

What the fuck?

That depends on your point of view: bowl/football season can't end fast enough for me... Having said that, I will be rooting against Georgia for Hawaii in the Sugar, as well as for Georgia Tech in the Humanitarian, but there ain't no way in hell I'm watching either of them... But, I did go to Tech, so... Go Jackets! Piss on dem Dawgs!

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out why they edited Capetta at the beginning of the match, but not at the end. -
Man... all you guys and your clandestine-ity... At least when I was playing at ringer, it was just my OC in a mask...

Fun game to watch; I was hoping to see a few Josh Smith blocks, though. I tried to get a Kennedy-esque "PENALTY!" chant going when Indiana got in foul trouble early in the first, but it didn't catch on.
