  1. I'm going down to GA for Christmas, and I'll be taking my pops to see the Hawks and Pacers, so I really hope I they don't suck that night.
  2. Well, Conventional Sports Wisdom™ says that you stick to Iverson and Anthony in that situation, and if Linas F. Kleiza beats you, then you tip your cap, but... goddamn...
  3. Wha? They took the time to put a Triple H label plate on a belt that he won at No Mercy, lost at No Mercy, and was portrayed as happening on the spur of the moment?
  4. Co-sign, especially the part about Hemme; it's an amusing sub-text/running gag to the Women's division, and it reminds me a little of when Trish Stratus and Victoria were feuding, and Victoria left Trish laying in the ring, only for Jazz to make an unexpected return, seemingly for the sole purpose of beating the shit out of Trish... it seems like, every time Kong and Hemme are in the ring together, Hemme's getting stretchered out; if I were her, I'd scream, too... And I love the way that Kong is over with the TNA crowd; as a women's wrestling mark, I think it's great to see a woman get over with a North American crowd for reasons that have nothing at all to do with looks. And I think they've done a good job of advancing the Kim/Kong feud... Now, if they'll just let Kong go over with the Awesome Press...
  5. I am SO imagining this in a Dr. Claw voice right now...
  6. Wipe them out... ALL of them...
  7. Howdy.
  8. Just wanted to chime in to restate my opinion from the thread in General a couple of years ago: Monsoon/Ventura was my favorite commenting duo of all time, with Ventura/Ross as a close second, and followed by Monsoon/Heenan in third.
  9. Rewatching the original ECW:ONS
  10. [snitsky] It wasn't my fault! [/snitsky] Don't know what to tell you, kid; I turned in a match and a promo. EDIT - Of course, it didn't hurt my ability to turn it in that I thought it was due last week, so I was already pretty much done.
  11. I miss Cena; In fact, with Cena out, and them having apparently buried/given up on London/Kendrick, Haas and Carlito (or they dropped the ball, whatever your point of view is), I pretty much fast-forward through all of Raw. Hell, I've mostly just watched it out of habit for years and, if not for DVR, I probably would have quit by now. I'm just not feeling Triple H, Orton, Michaels, Hardy, Kennedy or Jericho; never have, and probably never will... To whatever degree Raw has changed since Cena's absence, it has not been an improvement in my opinion. These days, I pretty much just watch to see Umaga and Beth Phoenix squash people, and shitcan the rest.
  12. The Blazers are above .500... without Oden, no less. If that guy's any good...
  13. Well, given that he's marrying way above his weight class, I guess some equal and opposite bad karma was overdue...
  14. Second the love for "Let it Snow." And I am very disappointed by the lack of mention of Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas."
  15. Nineteenth?! You mean I cut class for nothing? Oh well, at least it gives me a week to fine tune... PS - Good promo, by the way...
  16. Spoilers don't mention Noble at all: is this thing between Noble/McCool/Palumbo possibly leading to a double-turn, or was Noble's part in the thing simply a one-off?
  17. Wow. And I disagree one hundred percent with that point of view: I've always been of the opinion that having two guys face each other multiple times makes the blowoff less important. I don't think, for example, that DiBiase and Roberts faced each other in singles action even once on TV between the time that DiBiase took credit for "breaking" Jake's neck and WM6. Or how about Savage and Warrior at WM7? I've always felt that PPV/SNME matches are more significant when it's two guys that have never wrestled each other before. That's why my personal favorite era of wrestling is that which predates the RAW/Nitro/monthly PPV era.
  18. I saw the play live, and I stand by my statement: Horford didn't yank his face in the sense that he established a grip with his fingers around any part of Ford's head and pulled, but his forearm was across the length of Ford's face, and he was swinging his arm forcefully in one direction while Ford's head was moving in the opposite direction. That's close enough to yanking for my tastes.
  19. You don't think yanking a guy backwards by the face to stop a layup is a Flagrant-2?
  20. Damn; Al Horford just fucked TJ Ford up...
  21. Josh F. Smith. Further deponent sayeth not.
  22. Can we have more words? I'll have 2K before the bell rings...
  23. Okay, now that I get the context, that was pretty fucking funny.
  24. Because they both have jobs?
