  1. Well, for now, the graphic on SmackDown tonight had the 10 aformentioned wrestlers. No London, Sakoda or anybody else.
  2. But if only one guy had to go on Conan, it had to be Show! Conan + Show = hilarity!!! Seriously, Show has never let me down when he's on Conan. There's a reason he's been on the show more than anyone else in the WWE roster. WWE probably contacted Conan to have a wrestler come on and promote WrestleMania and the Conan people asked for Big Show again. ...if only Tom Selleck would be the other guest
  3. I completely forgot! Wow, it's not like WWE to not promote their little specials ad nauseum
  4. Thanks Karnage... didn't check the official website...why? I DON'T KNOW!
  5. What does that mean? I have no idea but that's one of my faves too so if Your Olympic Hero thinks Choken's way off...he's crazy! Once the Godwinns are eliminated in a matter of minutes, this match rocks!
  6. Can't wait to see what Owen Hart looks like
  7. -Tenay said they just received word that Jeff Jarrett was arriving at the arena. -They went out back to Scott Hudson who met Jarrett and Shane Douglas arriving at the arena. Jarrett said if Russo wouldn't book him in a match, he'd get himself a match on his own. Douglas said if there is one thing they hate, it's being told what they can and can't do by someone who isn't a wrestler. Of course, he closed by saying he was going to Franchise someone's ass. As Mojo Mitchell wrote, someday that phrase will catch on if he keeps saying it. -They went backstage to Scott D'Amore and Team Canada. "There is no I in team!" shouted Teddy Hart, somewhat ironically. 4 -- TEAM NWA (SONJAY DUTTT & ELIX SKIPPER & CHRIS SABIN) vs. TEAM JAPAN (EBISON & NOSAWA & KISHINBOKAMAD (SP?)) Two of the Team Japan members wore clown masks. First Frasier last night, now TNA. If there's a clown on Friends tomorrow night, it'll be too much. I also have a feeling that ICP, rightfully, aren't pleased that TNA booked wrestlers who have a kiddie version of their appearance. Tenay said the wrestlers work for Osaka Pro Wrestling that caters to kids. They went to an inset screen with James Storm and Harris discussing that he would be wrestling a second match later. At 8:00 four-way action broke out with the clowns missing with skytwisting splashes. Skipper then gave the third member his Instant replay followed by Dutt and Sabin both coming off opposite top ropes and landing him on for the win. WINNERS: Team NWA at 8:22. STAR RATING: *3/4 -- A spotfest, but the moves were crisp for the most part. -Scott Hudson interviewed Goldy Locks who left a message on Erik Watts's cell phone. She cut a promo on finding a new guy who treats her better. She acted crazy and then denied being crazy. She demanded that Watts not call her again, even though it was she who called him. She then hung up and then called him right back. Hudson said he thinks she's crazy.
  8. I'll save youse from attack of the pop ups ------------------- -Extended clips aired of Vince Russo's return last week and the Chris Harrris challenge. 1 -- CHRIS HARRIS vs. KEVIN NORTHCUTT Northcutt has dropped his Red Shirts gimmick now that TNA doesn't plan to use Legend for now. He dressed in black tights instead of the red t-shirt. I was looking for Jim Ross to join Tenay and West just to point out that this match was ugly as a bowling shoe.At one point, right in front of the camera, Northcutt pulled a chair over his head and then just sat there on the floor waiting for Harris to ram him into the ringpost with the chair in place. Then after getting rammed into the ringpost, he took the chair off. There were some of those terrible looking chinlocks where tons of light is shown. Harris easily could have slipped his head out of Northcutt's chinlock, but instead stayed in place and elbowed him several times before removing his head. There were at least two rudimentary moves that ended with the wrestlers awkwardly bumping into each other. This match looked like day two of Tough Enough. Or maybe worse. I don't know what happened to Harris, because he was a lot better than this a year ago, and Northcutt just is getting exposed in this singles match as being really green. Northcutt blocked a "Live from the 504," Harris's new finisher. Is that ever one of the worst-named finishers ever. Harris later won with the LFT504 which is sort of a pump-handle suplex. During the match, Tenay said he was just told that Russo had booked Harris against a mystery opponent in a second match for the main event of the show. He also said Russo told Jeff Jarrett to take the night off. WINNER: Harris at 9:09. STAR RATING: DUD -Scott Hudson interviewed Trinity. Sonny Siaki interrupted and told her that the "imaginary friend" who kept telling him not to sign the loyalty pledge was Vince Russo. Simon Diamond, D-Lo Brown, Konnan, and Ron Killings also entered the picture. Diamond took the leadership role and talked about how they had all been underutilized and dealt with broken promises, but with the leadership of Vince Russo, they'd be a lot better off now. D-Lo said he is going to seize this chance to prove himself again. Killings said the pinacle of his career was becoming the first African-American NWA Champion, and since then he hasn't gotten opportunities. Wasn't he just the NWA World Tag Team Champion last month? Talk about demeaning the value of a title. Konnan talked about having been a main eventer in WCW. Simon then concluded by saying Johnny Swinger threw away five years of their lives when he turned on him and he'd make him pay. 2 -- SIMON DIAMOND & KONNAN & D-LO BROWN & RON KILLINGS & SONNY SIAKI vs. GLENN GILBERTI & KID KASH & DAVID YOUNG & JOHNNYSWINGER & KID KASH They built the match in part around Swinger avoiding running into Diamond in the ring. Kash was the highlight of the first five minutes. Killings took a beating for a couple minutes, then hot-tagged Diamond. Swinger tagged out right away. Then ten-way chaos broke out. At 10:00 Diamond finally had Swinger in the ring. Young went for a clothesline on Diamond from behind, but missed. Simon then scored a quick pin on Young. Swinger fled. Michael Shane attacked B.G. James, who did color commentary at ringside during the match. In the ring, the heels beat up the babyfaces. The ICP and Juggalos ran in for the save, getting a big pop from the crowd. WINNERS: Swinger & Siaki & D-Lo & Killings & Konnan at 10:16. STAR RATING: * -- Decent ten-man tag action, but the match didn't last long enough for ten wrestlers to each have a chance to shine. I hope D-Lo didn't make the trip to Nashville just for that. -A taped message aired of Frankie Kazarian complaining about Jerry Lynn not calling him to come in for the America's X Cup Tournament. Kazarian said he is returning to challenge him and prove he belongs in NWA-TNA and on Team TNA in the X Cup by beating the captain off the team. He said the everyone will realize why he is the future and the future looks good. 3 -- FRANKIE "THE FUTURE" KAZARIAN vs. JERRY LYNN
  9. Being one of the fans at ringside...let me just say that was a hella stiff beatdown. I've been watching wrestling for 11 years and I've never cringed as bad as I did when Steen did that package piledriver to PCO! Just nasty! It was like two feet away from my face! Download this and see what I mean!
  10. I completely forgot about ID and the nunchucks...oh god...boy band choreography WITH NUNCHUCKS! Also, I went to college with Mirella from Sugar Jones so I kinda feel bad that they didn't write anything decent for that group. Back to topic, I agree with so much here (LFO, Limp Bizkit, Nelly) but my number one most hated would be... (drum roll) ANYTHING by Jennifer Lopez I mean, that garbage, is the most generic crap I've ever heard. Listen to the lyrics to shit like "Play" for example. When she decides to write something that takes more than two minutes write, it ends up being whiny as hell (I'm Real, Jenny from the Block) No more music, please, stick to acting cause at least then I can look at you but on radio there's no upside!
  11. yeah, it's fully there...it's the event as it was on ppv
  12. Happy birthday godthe dog...my birthday brother Back to topic, this was great news for me until I saw the thread was two days old...oh well! I share a birthday with Mark Paul Gosselaar and that should make Zack Malibu a little jealous so it's all good...Gosselaar is no Steamboat but he's still Zack!
  13. Exactly, he basically took the "if you've never been in a ring then you can't judge" argument. Back to topic, great commentary...that is all.
  14. I was at the show last night too! Oddly, the first time I go and see em even though my friend is Hardcore Ninja #2 (hence the odd "#2" chants there ) Quick thoughts: - Steen + heel turn = personality (excellently made turn IMO) - Twiggy rules all, that was hilarious stuff as well as the Grizzly / Merveille hulk up sequence. Well done gauntlet overall. - unlike gangsteruwa, I liked the crowd although Team Anglo were the rowdiest (yeah there were some awkward silences but that was mostly during series of missed spots...why would u cheer those?) - Favorite chants: "Jim Powers" (when a jobber made an appearance), "Ronnie Garvin" (when the Green Phantom did the stomp), "On s'en crisse!" (We don't care in French when a new unknown team were introduced, The New Breed) - Ass Punch...enough said - the PCO vs. Excess match ruled all (PCO brings the pain with innovative stuff and Excess brings the craziest bumps I've ever seen live) Ready for Prime time: PCO (again), Lauderdale, Steen
  15. I doubt so many people (including myself) heard wrong... Anyway, Chavo is in the match according to Wrestlemania.com
  16. I got WrestleMania: The Collection (1-13) for $80 (plus S&H) when it first came out. The cool thing about this particular WrestleMania box set is that they're the full PPV versions (except for WM 11, which was the "Encore Plus" version). The WWF's later WrestleMania box sets ("The Legacy") didn't include the PPV versions. I've even heard some people say that the "Legacy" versions cut some stuff out, like the Piper's Pit segment for WM V. I got the legacy...everything's (including Piper's pit) intact and shown as they were live on PPV with the exception of WM 11's shitty encore plus with Piper chiming in with his thoughts all the time...annoying as hell but at least he doesn't interrupt during the matches
  17. Who Framed Roger Rabbit: 9/10
  18. Exactly what I was thinking! They didn't bring Hogan back for the big 1-0...so why should they do it now? I do agree on bringing in The Rock as he is still officially part of the roster but not Hogan.
  19. I agree...what a great 3 months! Still some stupid stuff here and there (MI Smooth, Rick Steiner push) but overall awesome!

    The O.C.

    This year's remake, Satanico
  21. And some Canadians like me have already seen it...I'm still reading the thread though
  22. No...or else the make-shift team of Billy Gunn and Bob Holly would be no.1 contenders now
  23. Well, who knows what a "Cruiserweight open" is? What I have in my head (I think I read this on 411 or something) is a battle royale with pins instead of over the top rope eliminations. Although that'd be very clusterfucky so I doubt it...
  24. Not a chance in hell he'll be on that show. now come on AS... it's a battle royal for cruiserweights here! How many cruisers are in the division? Exactly...so fill er up! Sadly, he'll job quickly though...
  25. Same here...dammit!
