Superwolf was good, but nothing extraordinary. I loved Sings Greatest Palace Music and am still at a loss to why it was derided by a number of Oldham fans. I'll keep trying with The Letting Go—hey, from the State of Indie in 2006 alone, it took several listens before ultimately falling in love with Return to Cookie Mountain—but I don't know. I doubt I'll come around on this one.

Speaking of Oldham, I haven't connected with The Letting Go outside of a couple of songs (mostly "Cursed Sleep"). Sigh.

The friend of mine that I gave that London Calling to also has the deluxe Weezer, but he lifted it from Wal Mart. To be fair, it sounds better than the original release, which has comparatively thin sound.

Looks like I was confusing Columbia's Legacy line with Universal's Deluxe line. Christmas 2004, I got a good friend of mine that Legacy, two disc, one dvd edition of London Calling. It was pretty swank; the remastering on the proper album surpasses that of the '99 version, which I thought was tops to start.

The Legacy collection. For when you really need overpriced, double disc reissues of classic-era Moody Blues albums.

What, those 30th anniversary things? I bought the Ziggy one when it came out; the packaging is neat at first, but the pages within the book started coming loose from the spine within a couple of months. And I never listen to the second disc. The Beatles haven't been reissued to death, really. The cd versions of all their proper albums are from the same master when they were first released on compact disc in 1987. I'd say the current leader in endless reissuing is Elvis Costello: first, in the early 90s, his Columbia recordings (from 1977-1986) were rereleased on Rykodisc. Then, starting around 2000/2001, Rhino reissued those albums yet again, plus Costello's Warner Bros.-era (1989-1996) recordings. Now, I've read that Universal has the rights to all those albums and will begin reissuing them ONE MORE FUCKING TIME within the next year or two (meaning this will be the third time within 15 years that a great deal of Costello's albums have been rereleased). What's ultimately exasperating about this is that Costello has always owned the rights to his music, so this shameless plundering of his back catalogue is his own doing and not the cash-grubbing of some greedy record execs. What a fuck.

I, however, really did get into a wreck the very day that Milky story was born. I ended up okay, though.

Milky did not get into a car accident a couple of months ago and did not have one of his hands broken. It started as some off-the-cuff comment made by me, in response to someone asking why he hadn't posted here in awhile. Milky decided to play along. Anyway, everyone at the other place knew it was a gag, as did Vyce and tekcop. (Because Milky really likes those dudes and thought they deserved the truth.) But yeah, he doesn't post here anymore because he hates this place. Sorry, Sensei John Kreese.

That thread was from 2004, so I probably said a bunch of mean stuff to him after he made some stupid posts/threads. I had a lot of rage back then.
