The 'hawks best chance of becoming something really good again is pretty much "prospect develops into a superstar", kind of like Iginla did in Calgary. They need a guy that's a face of the franchise & helps them compete every night. It's unlikely that they'll sign someone as a FA to fill that role, so they're really reliant on a draft pick or a young, unknown player developing into a franchise player. They'll have a good chance at getting Phil Kessel in this years draft.
