Some more tidbits on All in the Family and it's spinoffs. Maude was Edith's cousin. I remember when she came to take care of Edith, who was sick, and her and Archie started arguing about FDR.
James Evans, Sr. Was called Henry when he appeared on Maude. It was still John Amos playing the rule.
Good Times is a rather questionable spin-off. Yes, Florida was Maude's maid, but Maude lived on the East coast, and Good Times takes place in the projects of Chicago. Not that a maid makes alot of money, but the Evans family was barely getting by on Good Time. Why did Florida quit, at least a steady job? To go live in the ghetto of Chicago.
