Right, he also got booed twice. And you can't SERIOUSLY count the match against FGB (They would have cheered me) and standing next to Flair in a tag match as serious face heat. You mean that time in Vancouver? Yeah, I'm not particularly a Orton-hater, but that had absolutely nothing to do with Orton. We hate Goldberg, period. But anyone in the ring with him, and we'll cheer for that guy.

Statement #1: Traveling is the most difficult part of the wrestling business. Kane: True. Being in the ring, that’s not work. That’s what we do, and why we travel. The travel is the actual work part of it. Being in the ring is the payoff. Lance: Very true. Forty hours of sitting in a rental car or on a plane every week is far worse that taking bumps. Statement #2: The Miller Lite Girls should make their big return at WrestleMania XX. Kane: No! That’s false. If the Miller Lite Girls are there, I might cook ‘em on a spit. Lance: False. I should be on the card instead, for a change. Statement #3: Pete Rose is due for another chokeslam. Kane: True. Actually, he should be chokeslammed right into the Hall of Fame. Lance: True. I’m tired of taking them. It’s his turn again. Statement #4: It’s time for Canadian fans to get over the Bret Hart screwjob. Kane: True. I’m tired of Earl Hebner having more heat than any of us in Canada. Lance: False. That’s the biggest part of Canadian wrestling history. That’ll live forever. Statement #5: You don’t make New Year’s resolution. Kane: True. New Year’s is just another day. Everybody breaks their resolutions anyway, so why make ‘em? Lance: True. As is evidenced by my Confidential piece.

Or having the top mark in a Special Ed class.

I think they'll be two iron men: Benoit and Cena. If Heyman puts Benoit as number one, what's preventing him from putting Cena, another guy he doesn't like, as number 2 or 3? As for ring clearer, I'll say Batista. I would usually say Kane, but he'll probably do something with Booker and Undertaker. I say he tosses out Booker, and then Taker comes and tossses if out, setting up the feud, blah, blah, blah.

When it stalled, it was near ring side, right? I thought he ran over RVD for a second there.

Wrestlers comment on Flair DVD
CanadianChick replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
Man, that's insight if I've ever heard any! Just kidding. Good article. -
Huh. It's actually snowing pretty hard over here. Can't remember the last time it has snowed this hard. Weird weather.
-
So, is Stevie Richards officially a man now?
CanadianChick replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm with Downhome here. You just can't compare Jericho/Trish with Victoria/Stevie. There is a danger of over-shadowing with Trish/Jericho. Why would you want either one of your top male wrestlers or your number one female wrestler to be pushed to the sidelines? With Vicky/Stevie, there isn't much danger of overshadowing. As of right now, they are both midcarders and unless BOTH get a serious push at the same time, it's fine. -
We've had some snow. More than what we're used to. But nothing too drastic. I bet this whole big 'snow storm' will be a foot at the most, which is pretty much child's play everywhere else in this fine country.
-
I thought it was going to be Lita, and then she would tell Trish that maybe he isn't just acting. But I guess comedy relief was more important. Whatever. This angle sucks anyways. If they wanted to turn Jericho face, I'm sure a better way could have been found.
-
If this ever did happen, my money's on Vicky winning. C'mon, like Stevie will ever be anything more than a comedy wrestler. You're damn right I don't like it! ::Cries in corner:: By the way, you know what would be the funniest thing if that Shane/RVD thing actually happened? THat RVD would be heel. And we know how well that always works.
-
And if they absolutely have to do it, don't do it with one of your top heels and your biggest female. Do it with mid-carders who need something to do, not maineventers who could be doing something else much more worthwhile.
-
It's friggin' -10 to -15 here...the so called mildest part of Canada! And there's a huge snow warning. Do you know how cold it is to come out of a pool with wet hair in -10? Not fun, not fun at all.

Amen brotha, amen.

I'm not getting the lack of Jericho. They always use him for promotional crap, so they must find him somewhat marketable. Why else would he be one of the guys who makes the most frequent public appearances?
-
I guess it was more of an endorsement for Agnes than.
-
Why? I love Josh. Demott isn't great, but better than Cat.
-
Well, it would be a good bumping team if anything.
-
Wow, that was a quick match.
-
I assume that the Booker/Kane feud is just a mini-feud for the Rumble. You know, so there are certain confrontations that people are eager to see.

Glad to hear Blessed Hellride got best metal album of the year. Best CD I've bought in a while.

That's why the best way to do it would be for Goldberg to win the Royal Rumble and announce that he's already won the World Title on Raw and to really validate his career, he wants to see if he can win the WWE Title by beating Brock. Then, if they really want to go all out to make WM XX seem important, HHH can challenge Goldberg at No Way Out, putting his title against Goldberg's shot at Mania. Then Goldberg and Brock could fight title vs. title in a match to see who the real best wrestler in the WWE is. However, even if someone else wins the Rumble, Goldberg wouldn't look weak by jumping to Smackdown. He could just say that he beat HHH twice and he doesn't have anything to prove to the Raw roster. He wants a chance to hold the real WWE Title. And as for what Anglesault said, Goldberg and Brock aren't going to draw buyrates on their own against weak competition, but if they have a good feud built between them, their match would have an epic feel that would be missing with the other competitors on the Smackdon roster. I respect that you want an epic feel and all, and want the main event to be a dream match, but I'm not convinced. Goldberg and Rock was an 'epic' match, and it didn't draw. I don't know how convinced I am that Brock/Goldberg could be considered an epic match, nevermind a high-drawing match. For me, there are two ways I look at a Goldberg/Brock match: either (1) Goldberg vs. Goldberg-the heel version or (2) two guys feuding that don't really have a reason to.

Patrick Ewing, STILL God. How about that Besus guy in the WWE folder?
-
Wow...I wouldn't want to mess with you! Well, I was having a shit day, and wasn't in the mood for some bitch's snobbery. Before, I wouldn't even rent a wrestling video alone. I'd get my brother to rent it for me.

And there it is right there. You can have "cool" but you're fine with "not as cool" Well, what's the WWE's motivation to ever give you "cool?" They don't have one. They just care about getting the $$$. The smart marks are gunna buy Mania either way. The marks/casual fans would want to see something like Brock/Goldberg instead of Brock/Benoit. Just wondering, what indication are you going by with that statement? Just an assumption? Well, considering the moment Brock debuted people chanted Goldberg at him. Now that both of their characters are more developed, I think that many casual fans would want to see this match. And TSM is going to buy Mania 20 or at least watch it. Do you really think such hardcore fans would not by the show? I don't think that's a very good indication. The crowd chanted that as a joke. He was just seen as a WWE version of Goldberg.
