  1. Six is the last season.
  2. I finished rewatching season 4 this past weekend, but there's one thing that didn't make much sense to me. When Sayid and Desmond are on the freighter, but before they find out that Michael is Ben's spy, they get a note slipped into their room that says "Don't trust the captain". What was the deal with that? When they met the captain later in the episode, he was very forthcoming, information-wise, as Sayid said. And in later appearances, he seemed to be a decent guy, as he tried to help Sayid and Desmond when he let them use the zodiac raft to get back to the island, AND he was against Keamy. Plot-hole or what?
  3. I try to watch A Christmas Story at least twice on Christmas day, but I usually get caught up with everything else going on in my house. On a similar note, FX seems to be doing a 24-hour marathon of... Ice Age 2? I know they did Jingle All the Way a year or two ago, but that movie?
  4. I wonder what was up with Mickie at the end. She looked like she was in tears.
  5. WWE.com probably just deleted it, because it doesn't show up in the Miz & Morrison discussion thread, where it was first posted, either.
  6. I remember enjoying the Goldberg/Raven match when it aired in 98, so I'm looking forward to rewatching that. The Jericho and DDP matches are both good, but everything else is so-so, although I'm not sure about the Book match from Nitro.
  7. I didn't mind JBL vs. Batista once they realized that 20+ minute matches don't work out well for them. They had one horrible, long match at GAB 05, and then they had two shorter, gimmick matches at Summerslam and on Smackdown. And their match at No Mercy of this year was even shorter and more to the point.
  8. I decided to ask for Modern Warfare since most of the war/FPS games I've played in the past have been WWII themed.
  9. I was planning on asking for a game for Christmas, and I always had my eye on COD: Modern Warfare. But then this one came out. Should I ask for World at War since it's the newer of the two, or is Modern Warfare actually the better game to get?
  10. Marc Mero hits the best TKO ever on Ahmed Johnson post-match. It's simply a thing of beauty.
  11. On Nitro, they started hyping Sting's appearance (without facepaint) in some indie movie. Now I wouldn't say it totally kills his "mystique" from this time period, but it's a little weird to think about that the mysterious guy that hangs out in the rafters and makes vultures speak landed a movie role in his spare time. Randy Savage vs. Ray Traylor is funny since Traylor absolutely destroys Savage for about 4-5 minutes straight, only to get crotched on the top rope, get scoop slammed, and then elbow dropped for the win. I, too, was expecting to see the Bret midget this week. Shamrock's promo with DX is pretty laughable though.
  12. I'm in.
  13. Face it people... Jake Roberts is IMMORTAL.
  14. I definitely thought they were saving this for WM, so big surprise for me. It looked like Jeff was going to sneak in that Swanton to win each time before Kozlov and HHH took him out. The last one came out of nowhere. It was a little overbooked toward the end, but entertaining stuff.
  15. So what was that chant that was just going for about a minute?
  16. She was singing with Lisa and Kelly at The Max. I don't remember what or why. And it wasn't speed. It was caffeine pills. She was so excited. So excited...
  17. I got the BR set for $55. I'm one of those nitpicky DVD collectors, so of course I was a little disappointed that the set didn't come in one of those book cover style cases like Season 3. The slipcase that replaces it is really cool, though.
  18. The worst part about the Cena-Book series was that they could have just done the series in about 3-4 weeks, but no, they had to stretch it across two whole months.
  19. VINTAGE VENKMAN! (To be fair, though, that one has become commonplace for anyone who's calling a Taker match.)
  20. Michael Cole has shown on DVDs that when he's not being fed all of his lines through the headset, he's actually a pretty decent commentator on his own. I will say that I liked listening to him much more when he was partnered with Tazz on Smackdown than any of the recent years, though.
  21. The price of the BR actually dropped for this season. Amazon has the DVD set for $37 and the BR set for $50, so yay, only an extra $13. I'll be getting the BR set since the Season 3 BR was amazing. Even if the new set was an extra $30, I'd still be getting the BR instead of DVD.
  22. Obviously there will be the usual filler (video packages, appearances by maybe Vince, Cryme Tyme, divas, etc.). But maybe those two six-man tags are 15-20 minutes each?
  23. I like six man tags, so yay! Looks like a fine show by Tribute to the Troops standards.
  24. I almost totally forgot about it, but I remember about two weeks before WM XIV, me and my brothers were told by my parents that we weren't allowed to watch wrestling anymore. I was 10 at the time, and my brothers were a year or two older. It really seemed to come out of nowhere considering we had watched wrestling for so long before this. I assume this was because of the beginning of the Attitude era stuff, but the more inappropriate stuff had yet to even air, outside of maybe the original DX stuff. I still wonder what the point of the ban was, because we ended up sneaking into a different room than usual to watch the next Raw, although we were caught, and it was turned off. But then I watched Raw the next week with no problem and managed to order WM after that.
  25. When I was 5 or 6 years old, I don't think my parents really cared much since I was never asking to order the PPVs or anything. I remember my dad LOVED the IRS gimmick only because he just thought it was really amusing. To this day, anytime he sees me watching, he always asks about IRS. When he won that battle royal last year, I was pretty excited to show him the video. I only first got PPV ordering capabilities in 1997, so the first I managed to see live on TV was WM 13. On a different note, that would be the reason why I don't hate that show... I kind of have those fond memories of it being my first PPV. After that, I got to order KOTR 97 since it was on my birthday, and anything after that was a huge hassle attempting to order. He pretty much hated it anytime I asked and always asked why I even liked wrestling. He eventually stopped caring really, and let me order whatever just so long as I had the money to give him. There were two specific instances where my dad willingly decided to sit and watch wrestling with me. The first was when I did manage to order Canadian Stampede in 1997. He had watched bits and pieces of the opening Mankind vs. HHH match and thought it was pretty dumb (I disagreed). But then TAKA vs. Sasuke was next, and he actually seemed to like it a lot. He stopped watching the show after Taker vs. Vader, to which he said the only good match on the show was TAKA vs. Sasuke. The other time, was when I had bought the 1999 re-release VHS of WM X. He came in right at the start and just randomly decided to watch Bret vs. Owen. And again, he legitimately seemed to like the match. At least he has good taste in matches, I suppose. My mom was always pretty indifferent, but she knows who's who in regards to all the big names over the last 15-20 years or so. She always seems amused to see HBK, Undertaker, and (when he was still going) Ric Flair STILL wrestling. When I told her Ric Flair was retiring, she actually sat down and watched his ceremony on Raw.
