I'm sure it was talked about when it actually happened in 2002, but the Flair/McMahon/Board of Directors story makes NO SENSE. Sure, I suppose Flair's actions were pretty embarrassing for the company, but when McMahon just said he was trying to kill the company with the nWo no less than a month earlier (not to mention all the other crazy McMahon shenanigans from previous years), you just say WTF?

And Jeff has officially been taken out of the MITB on WWE.com.
-
I was disappointed that Street Fighter didn't get a mention.

What a horrible time to apparently break the wellness policy. I would've guessed he'd be winning the title around summer time after winning MITB at WM. Does this make Jericho a shoe-in to win MITB then? God I hope so. Maybe CM Punk has a shot if he's added, but I can't see Kennedy winning again.

I never started actively paying attention to WCW until around Halloween Havoc 97. Even if I was as much of a mark for WCW as I was the WWF around this time, I still wouldn't have believed them when they said they were going to have half the main events they claimed they would on Nitro. This week of course has Hogan & Rodman vs. Luger & Giant, but I'm sure there are many more to come. Love seeing the garbage barrage end Nitro just about every week, though.

Watching Taker-Flair (my favorite match of the night), I really miss heel BikerTaker. Sure, he had some really bad matches around this period (Hogan, Austin, and HHH come to mind), but he was just such a bad ass, all kidding aside. Combined with the Maven stuff at the Rumble, the build-up to WM, and the match itself, this might be my favorite "version" of Taker. Nothing much more needs to be said about Hogan vs. Rock, but yeah, it's just a huge mark-out match. Watching Hogan kick out of the Rock Bottom, hulk up, etc. is one of my favorite WM moments. Combined with the crowd reaction, I usually get chills each time I watch it. You can't help but feel sorry for the Jazz, Trish, and Lita for having to follow Hogan-Rock. Look at the crowd during the entrances, and you see tons of people taking bathroom breaks or just heading out. The finish, with Jazz hitting Lita with the fisherman suplex from the top, really looks devastating. I always loved that finish.

DOOMSDAY CAGE! I thought the same exact thing.

I was hoping for the Mean Street Posse...

I'm glad Finlay has his old music back. The theme from last week seemed too... happy? Surprised to see that Kennedy, of all people took the beatdown. It seems like that spot would usually be reserved for someone like Val Venis or Charlie Haas.

Yeah, everyone used to draw those on their school book covers. Eventually, people were extending them and doing "clever" designs like drawing a jester hat on top.

It was on Mick Foley's Greatest Hits & Misses, and it might be on some others as well.

That's how it definitely seemed with Ben & Juliette, but now knowing about the Goodwin thing, the season 3 opening still makes sense. Upon Ben sending Goodwin to his death (which could the same be said for Ethan?), Juliette just stopped acting friendly toward him, including not inviting him to the book club meeting.

Season 1 was my favorite, but I'm not likely to buy it again unless MAYBE there's a Blu-ray release, and even that's just a maybe. Funny this was bumped today though. I saw this news on IGN today. It looks like Fox will be doing a 24 TV movie this fall in place of the upcoming season. I still love 24, so I'll be sure to watch.

I didn't think it was a bad episode, but obviously not on par with last weeks. I am curious to hear Ben's explanation of Michael, assuming he's the man on the boat. Does Michael "unexpectedly" run into the freighter, as Ben planned, and forced to feed Ben info on the freighter people? How exactly does this work? It's weird to see the Others once again turn into the magical, disappearing, whispering people once again. I don't think that was seen since season 2. I'd really love to get some kind of explanation for that.

But it didn't get dropped. Jericho beat JBL the week before No Way Out.

While I almost always see a commercial for 10,000 BC whenever I watch TV, I still have yet to see any that actually shows anything that even hints at a plot or something. I have no interest in it at all. I'm predicting flop as well.

I decided to not read the spoilers and go in fresh. It was decent, but I didn't understand the point of Rey beating Chavo other than because it was his hometown, which is the logic that usually never works. Shelton vs. Yang was actually one of the better short matches I've seen on TV lately. I guess Vicki's decent in her role, but I'm just so sick of the heel authority figure. If there was one thing I could change about WWE, it would be just to scrap the idea that all the owners/GMs MUST always be heels. Obviously, Teddy Long's the exception.

I thought he said that "she saved the five other Oceanic 6, but the other two..." and Kate cut him off, as if the other two didn't survive.

I think the NOOOOOOOO gets so much criticism just because it's corny and cliched. He's fucking Darth Vader, and instead of making him just destroy the room, they made him yell that.

The alledged Randy Savage ban from WWE.
Aero replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
In what 99.9% likely means nothing, but is funny anyway... If you go to the history section for Wrestlemanias on WWE.com, and go to WM 7, the poll is "What's your favorite moment?" Choices are Nasty Boys winning, Blindfold match, Savage losing but reuniting with Liz, and Hogan winning the title. The results... This has been like this for days now. -
Maybe I'm the only one, but I liked season 2 much more than this season. Maybe it's because I had the advantage of watching the entire thing on DVD as opposed to on TV, but I thought it was just as good as the first season. The only thing that bothered me was everyone jumping around the country WAY too quickly. Of course, last night's episode was supposed to be the mid-season finale, so I figure they'll at least pick up the second half. After that, I'm not so sure.
