    Woman Calls 911 on McDonalds

The sauce packets are usually just sitting out there at my local McDonald's...just grab handfuls as needed. When I was little I wanted to sell ketchup packets on the black market.

    Talkin' bout my education

Hey all. For those who read the OAORaw, I'll be posting a lot less, as I now need to allocate more of my time to my classes as I make a valiant effort to get into a good university. Which brings me to this. My counselor was deemed unhelpful to me, so I have been switched to a new one. Right now I am in AP courses for psychology, English, French, and economics. In addition, I have two band courses, and trig and honors physics as well, the latter two recommended by my counselor despite my intuition. Tomorrow morning I'm going in to consider dropping those two courses in favor of AP chemistry, the only science I ever understood well, and a study hall to help me keep my classes in order. Since I'm all but certainly going to be a history major, and I have already gotten a 28 on my ACT, I don't think I'll really benefit learning-wise or ACT score-wise from these two math-oriented classes. (The math of chemistry and econ I can grasp, but not physics. Whatever) So if anyone can offer me advice as to what I should or shouldn't do, I would appreciate this greatly. Thanks.

Some good WWE news for once!

Even if they can use the original music, they'll just dub "The Game" over everyone's music.

Blue Jays unveil a new logo for 2004

That's the one! The next one = eh, the third = awful. Si Montreal perdra les Expos, j'espere ils laissent le logo <<MEB>>. (Mon francais est tres mal car je n'ai pas utilise` depuis le juin.)

Some good WWE news for once!

How does it work with old music? ESPN Classic can show hockey games with old music playing. Do they pay royalties, or does it not matter because the music is a passive component rather than an active one, as it is for entrance music?

Blue Jays unveil a new logo for 2004

Looks like a cross between the new Seahawks logo and the Devil Rays...way to emulate success! I liked the old logos with the bird and ball/leaf. Boo.

    Announcer flubs

That was a real incident? I know they did a joke like that on one episode of Sports Night... from http://www.allsports.com/nhl/rangers/maytemp_graf.htm Friday, May 28, 1999 at 12:12:10 Am I the only one who found Page condescending and obnoxious.......Then again, that's the way a lot of the "sportscasters" are going in these days of "the scores are not important but I am"....Back to Page, just something about him I didn't like. But dfferent strokes for differsnt folks.........Speaking of Girard and funny lines by sportscasters (I remeber the Dougay line), anybody remember when Steve Levy on ESPN was describing an injured baseball player as having "a bulging dick in his back"..A mistake, I know, but hilarious---they couldn't stop laughing.....Hospo ------ By the way, I had to Google-search "Steve Levy bulging dick" to find that...thanks a lot

That would put me in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade. I used to like hip-hop. I had way much more street cred in elementary school. "Gangsta's Paradise" was the summer of 95 no mistake.

The One and Only US Open thread

Whatever. The best match of the Open was the Connors-Krickstein replay, so there. Not enough "That's bullshit! You're an abortion, a goddamn abortion, now get out of the chair, you goddamn son of a bitch" these days. Agassi over Martin, Hewitt over Roddick, Agassi over Hewitt. Mauresmo over Davenport, Henin-Hardenne over Capriati, Henin-Hardenne over Mauresmo.

From City To City, Looking at WWE Fans

I brought up in OAORaw that we should profile the various venues and compare how their fans are and its effect on the program, so here's a thread for that purpose. I'll start with the Northeast. Uniondale, NY: Often bored, evidently. This is likely because they get the most shows, easily. Long Island being an old WWWF territory, Vince feels the need to come often. The Long Island fans seem to be jaded and not easily excited by the show, to the point where Paul Heyman had to reprimand the crowd over the house mic for sitting on their hands. From what I've seen and heard, these same fans provide the same apathy for Isles games. Montreal, PQ: Canadian fans are always a rabid bunch, and love their wrestling. Despite having to sit through various Screwjob reenactments in addition to THE one, and WWE blatantly bashing their Canadian fan contingent on TV, they still support the product. They will cheer Canadian wrestlers over anyone else despite face/heel association. And of course, the innovators of TWOOOO. Philadelphia, PA: I don't know what their deal is, but Philly fans are weird for the four sports AND wrestling. Being ECW country, you get a definite renegade feeling, and they will cheer and boo who they please. New York, NY: Some of the best fans out there at MSG. You ahve the historic venue, and WWE shows here are just inherently better, and made better even further by MSG fans. Not the same crowd as Nassau's.

Of guys to use many theme songs,

Triple H has always had good music, even in 1995. 1. That first Greenwich Snob song with the harpsichord was one of the better themes in its day. 2. Ode to Joy worked but wasn't as good as the first. Still, doesn't bring him down. 3. The DX theme was and is awesome. 4. There was that little-known in-between theme that lasted a month. Not good but not enough to count. 5. The instrumental My Time was cool. 6. My Time with the words was even better. 7. The Game is awesome, but I'm not sure if it was better than My Time. This is a debate I often have with friends. Christian did okay over the years. 1. The Gangrel theme was awesome back in the day. 2. The oft-forgotten track from Volume 4. Ah yes. That was great. Used it once, if ever. 3. Edge's theme was good but nothing great. 4. The opera music was sweet. 5. Un-Americans theme was a little bland, but it goes with Lance Storm so it's okay. 6. I don't know WHAT he's got now. Steve Austin 1. The Ringmaster theme was cool, reminded me of the alternate Demolition theme. 2. The classic Stone Cold theme is untouchable. 3. Some people like Disturbed's better but I'm not one of them. 4. Short-lived slowed up theme from the Alliance was neat. 5. The quicker Alliance theme did nothing for me. 6. See #2. Add more here

From City To City, Looking at WWE Fans

Actually, it's only the western half of the island. Once you go too far east for people to live and work in the city at the same time, it's actually quite nice. To make it a wrestling analogy... Nassau County = RAW Suffolk County = Smackdown Hamptons = Ring of Honor Is Queens TNA?

From City To City, Looking at WWE Fans

I've gone to many shows at the Nassau Coliseum. Since that Raw when Heyman got pissed they have been warming up more and more to the shows probably since we only get one every five or six months. Last night's house show though deserved to be met with apathy. However, look at last year's SummerSlam. The thing about that crowd is that the wrestlers need to work pretty damn hard in order to impress. Oh yeah, the northeast HARDLY gets WWF shows. I thought the apathy was a result of oversaturation as opposed to undersaturation. I feel bad for Portland. By the way with all you guys chiming in, it seems like Long Island really is the rotting cesspool Bob Barron said it is in our New York hockey teams argument. That said, as bad as Long Island may be, I despise the Devils from the bottom of my heart, while I only mock the Islanders for those fisherman sweaters they had that one year, and for being such a shell of what they once were.

Your camera's are under our control

I'm baffled by the concept of a media ban. There really needs to be third-party coverage of wrestling, there really does. Whatever, I'll just watch WWE dig itself deeper.

    PIn ups In NHB

Polkaroo just appeared during the whole GImmick Poster Overload. He just said "Polkaroo." "The Czech Republic" is a cool name. See, I wanted something that sounded massive, immense, grand and magnificent, larger than life, like perhaps the name of a powerful country. Then I decided I didn't want to be too grand and magnificent, so I picked a small, reasonable country instead. I was almost "The German Empire" or "The People's Republic Of Awesome."
