  1. Angle is a great worker. Certainly worthy of all of the praise that he gets. I believe that Joe is better. I believe that Danielson is better. And I believe that Benoit is better. In the US (since that is what I know) that's it. ...maybe Finlay. He's awesome. Point is...Angle (unlike ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE) is seen as better. Why is his going to TNA a big deal? Not because he's near death or a shell of his former self or any of that... It's because he's KURT ANGLE. And Angle vs. Joe is less than 2 weeks away. Anyone who reads that and isn't excited about it is only in this folder to be an asshole. Period.
  2. If TNA, or WWE for that matter, had smart people booking Sapp would be the next Hulk Hogan. I agree 100%. HTQ is DEAD ON here. The man is a charismatic Beast. Who could believeably kill anyoone. A 4th grader could make money with him.
  3. I agree. Let Angle be the man and Joe be that much better. Let Angle win when Joe won't stop choking him... ... Then let Angle beat Sting for the title... so that Angle/Joe II means that much more
  4. At the end of the day...you can't be as good as Angle is without developing an ego. Who is better? HBK? Really? Benoit? Maybe years ago. Guerrero? Dead. Joe? Maybe. ...Not in WWE BTW... ... Ego comes with the spot. He just is that good.
  5. What kind of trouble? He's already his Joe with a high one the first time they brawled.
  6. I could see Angle winning by DQ when Joe loses it after nt being able to put Angle away.
  7. The match will be off-the-charts, no-doubt, but I'm disappointed that it's come so soon. Granted, there are good reasons for getting all-you-can out of Angle ASAP (for starters, he might go and die or cripple himself before any long angle could pay off) but I had visions of Joe and Angle tearing through the roster till they eventually came head to head for the gold whereas they've pretty much just gone at each other from day one. The build, such as its been, has been fine but I'm not getting the epic vibe from it that I feel I should. Truth to tell, Joe/Steiner felt bigger in some ways! I actually agree with everything that you've said here. First and foremost...Joe vs. Steiner DID feel bigger...which I suppose is a credit to the two guys... But that was at a time that Joe was still being pushed as the "best inthe world" and Steiner was his test. The fact that Angle/Joe lacks the same kind of hype or whatever that Joe/Steiner had is COMPLETELY TNA's fault for making Joe feel like an afterthought for the last few months. ... That being said... As soon as he steps in the ring with Angle...I think he gets all of that back. Part of the excitement is obviously that these may be the best 2 North American wrestlers in the last several years. And I have no doubt that they will deliver... Whats important, IMO, is that when its over people look at Joe as being on Angle's level. I think that Joe is better than Angle...but a lot of people who watch probably dont. If when the match is over...people look at Joe like he's as good as Angle...the match is a success (again IMO) no matter the result.
  8. I guess that could work. But she asked him to kill him...not use him for some outlandish scheme. What she asked Jack for would indicate that she would help him if he killed Ben... Instead...Ben isn't dead and Jack is trying to call the shots
  9. There is no doubt that this is the biggest match in the 4.5 year history of TNA.... And as such I think a nice week and a half discussion of the buildup/bout/aftermath is in order. ... Before I continue I do want to say this.... I believe (as a wrestling fan for the last 20 years) that Angle vs. Joe is a bigger, better match than anything that WWE can main event Mania with next year outside of Austin/Hogan or a Rock return Call me crazy but when Cena/HHH II or whatever is main eventing Mania in Detroit...yeah... ... For my part...I think the buildup has been excellent. Joe and Angle have fought through every important event (including Bound For Glory) making their fight seem that much more important. Also...TNA has pretty much made sure that Angle hasn't been the least bit tarnished by his move down from the E to TNA. People still see him as the big star. And even though TNA had dropped the ball with Joe so that they could blow off their JJ/Sting storyline...Angles arrival made Joe into as much...if not more of a top player than he was before. ... I know that there are a lot of TNA haters on this board. And TNA does give you a lot of reason to question/hate their ideals.... ... But this is Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle. ... So?
  10. I guess I might have missed something... But why is Juliet trying to help Ben live when she asked Jack to kill him?
  11. Buffalo has to stay with Toronto, Boston and Montreal as everyone has stated... And I would KILL to get Philly into Buffalo's division.
  12. There was no shootout.
  13. The Sabin/Styles match is supposed to be really good... And from what I've read Rhino/Christian isn't really a match.
  14. Can I say Bush even though he won twice? I mean...Gore and Kerry are technically worse... So yeah...that's my bottom 3.
  15. Hey you know what this reminds me of? How Alias was sooo much better its first two seasons than the other 4. Maybe JJ just can't write more than a couple chapters.
  16. I like the Angle music. It took hearing it twice...but I'm a fan. I also like LAX's music. My favorite enterance music they ever had though was XXX's.
  17. I disagree with this statement as much as I have ever disagreed with anything written on this board. The thing that makes Buffalo's streak so compelling is that most people can see that they WERE the best team in the playoffs last year before they lost SIX starters to injuries including FOUR defensemen. Lindy Ruff knows how to coach teams to playoff success. And...oh yeah...the team is even better this year as Miller improves and the team speed is upped. And Thomas Vanek... To say that we wouldn't beat those shootout win teams is spotty at best. 2 of them we beat again in regulation already... And Detroit couldn't beat Miller. I believe the shots on goal were 31 to 8 after 2 periods... In a tie game.
  18. Angle's different than Chrisitan. Everyone sees Angle as a top guy. Christian's main problem was winning the title so quickly. Is there any reason that Chrisian should be looked at as more of a main eventer than...say...Jarrett? The two of them are upper midcard heels...that's just what they're kind of stuck with. Angle isn't seen that way.
  19. Hoyt really got after it there.
  20. I loved when Sabin dropkicked Senshi in the head, while Senshi was in mid flip. That's when the match really started taking off.
  21. Well...if we try thinking about it... The Naturals lost at BFG...and they're not winning at Impact against LAX... It's the start of a storyline for them and Shane Douglas.
  22. But it would be a SWERVE~. You people do realize that Christian is heading to title matches and that Rhino has no next program set...right? How would it make sense to have Christian lose heading into the main event? He needed a strong win.
  23. I'm looking forward to seeing how the show looked on TV. I had a blast being there. The whole weekend was pretty sweet and TNA really treats the fans very well.
  24. 7 playoff teams up. 7 playoff teams down. Go Sabres!
  25. I think the Border Toss is the underarm overhead suplex that he does to Daniels so often. I think that was the Cracker Jack. ... Border Toss...Cracker Jack...Gringo Killer... God I love LAX.
