My Falcons came close...but no cigar. Oh well...no shame in losing to the National Champs by one score.

Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts
The Ghost of bps21 replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in TNA Wrestling
Hogan doesn't "deserve" anything. He's the one who walked away from his high paying no work requied job. -
Here's the wording from teh Torch site...which should please some people: -Dutch Mantell is taking over as the main booker of TNA, essentially replacing Vince Russo. We'll have more on this situation in the Torch Newsletter and perhaps later in the VIP Powell Report email.

TSM Poster Tournament II
The Ghost of bps21 replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in Poster Tournament
hmm...I'm gonna lose in round 1 this time. Even a fellow Buffalonian Billsnut voted against me. ... The call for harsher modding has been noted. -
"WWF @ Springfield, MA - September 20, 1980 Andre the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan " But...but... Andre vs. Hogan were friends until 87!!!! HOW??????????????????????

Some TNA Notes From Jason Powell's VIP Update
The Ghost of bps21 replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
It's not a bad thing for Ring of Honor either. They've lost Paul London, Spanky and Alexis Laree to the WWE since they started... now they know that guys they use like Styles, Raven, Sabin and Punk won't be going anywhere for the next year. That's a positive. -
Some TNA Notes From Jason Powell's VIP Update

Well...it seems TNA gave into the more important things. Allowing CM Punk (who TNA grossly misuses every week) to continue being booked as a star everywhere else is a good thing. -

Lot's of neat stuff in there. I'd be pissed if I were Raven too...but from my NON carved up head...I understand that Mitchell didn't mean it at all. It's good that TNA gave in and it's good that everyone signed. -
"*While talking about the announcers he mentioned how it goes to show you about the company when its #1 wrestler (Steve Austin) can never wrestle again yet he is the #1 wrestler.” And how “It’s all about star power” and that he is “waiting for my generation to work their way into the front office” (Unless HHH knocks off his father in-law in the near future I guess)." Thank YOU!

I got it. I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's hard to find some of these items for 100% with the charactes.

I'm gonna have to drive from Buffalo (it's not far) But I wish they'd just come here and save me the trouble. Word is they can't find a venue here that suits their needs...but I can think of a few of varying size...and renting buildings in Buffalo has to be a hell of a lot cheaper than doing so in Boston...so I don't know where they are looking.

Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts

I don't even like Kid Kash. I just think it's funny because: A: Kash beats all the legends and B: Kash is like 5'9'' -
Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts
The Ghost of bps21 replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'm telling you, the only reason TNA signs guys like Crash Holly is so Vince Russo can prove to no one in particular that he can get them over. -
It's more sloppy than the WWE, I think. In WWE the end result for everyone booking is always the same: Get X wrestler over. (X wrestler is usually the same couple guys every week too...so it's not too confusing) In TNA it's all over the place...because they try to get and keep everyone over...which results in run ins and cheap victories match after match, week after week. On one hand...I like that pretty much everyone in TNA is always doing SOMETHING...but it gets real messy.
-
Watching the show from week to week... I'm fairly certain that no one has complete control over any facet of the booking.
-
I assume this is a result of Jarrett going down and working for IWA a couple times. He also brought back Abyss from IWA (great move I say) and they were going to use Ricky Bandares as the masked man with Raven...but changed as no one would know who he is.

Did you notice how much heat Abyss drew into that match during his rampage? And how loud the pop was when AMW finally took him out with a double spear? This Abyss guy is going to be great. -

Hogan can come in If and ONLY if he gets smacked and pinned by Kid Kash. -
I seriously doubt it will be.

The *Official* bps21 NFL Power Rankings (Week 2)
The Ghost of bps21 replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in Sports
Did you read Moulds' quotes about all that? When asked why Marion was talking all the trash and not Surtain: "Because he doesn't have to cover me" Bills/Dolphins week. Nothing better. -
Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts

This is just another "Look at me Vince" thing from Hogan. Nothing more. -
I think TNA brings in guys like Jamal and Crash Holly just because Vince Russo wants to prove that he can get them over. On that note...at least the guys (Jamal and Vampiro) fit who they are siding with. Jamal and Siaki are both samoan...so they could run with that...and Vampiro obviously fits with Mitchell and the church.

I think he means Pn. 03... it was one of the heralded Capcom 5. 1. Dead Pheonix (Cancelled) 2. Pn. 03 (Terrible reviews) 3. Vietiful Joe (Rules the world. Must buy) 4. Killer 7 (One of the most interesting games I've seen...can't wait) 5. Resident Evil 4 (OHHH...HELL...YEAH!!!)
