You get hit but you would have got hit if you hadn't tried to counter. If I just stand there I get hit and take damage. If I try to counter and do I gain the advantage. If I try to counter and fail I take the same amount of damage I would have if I had just stood there. So there is no reason not to counter. There is no risk in attempting a counter every single time you are attacked.
Ummm...what?
Hogan was on top by himself? Are you that clueless? Are you even aware of the structure of the business in the 80's? Hogan wasn't WWF's lone draw.
It's FACT. Austin drew more MONEY. Use common sense to figure out HOW he did such.
Triple H has been "on top" for 5 1/2 years, which is longer then Austin's "tenure" according to you, but that doesn't mean he's made more money then Austin.
Austin has made more money for WWE then Hogan did during their respective peaks.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Who was Hogan with? Warrior and Savage? Andre? Who else besides him was a big draw?
Show me figures and I'll say I was wrong.
No, Austin didn't bring in more money than Hogan ever did. Austin was on top for 4 years, MAX, with Foley, Rock, Undertaker, and HHH.
Hogan was on top for 10+ years by himself.
And Austin isn't that small of a guy, either.
