You're probably right about that. It's just like with SYM, where they released videos of ladder matches with moves that weren't possible in the final game, like dropkicking the ladder into someone's face.

Nothing wrong with being a bit offensive/edgy. As long as it's not Katie Vick territory or anything. If Eddie's OK with it they should really do that. You're right, CM Punk's character would be perfect for that.

I think they could use the situation to their advantage. They should do something similar as an angle on TV. Have a new wrestler debut by pouring beer on Eddie during a match. Eddie chases him and beats the crap out of him. Does the same apology afterwards but challenges the new guy to a match. The next week they have the match where the new guy is introduced. Eddie goes over, of course. Nothing big, just a storyline for two weeks to establish a new heel and get Eddie more over. I think it would work well and further Eddie's connection with the fans on his way to the top.

Another illogical thing: When RVD put Christian on top of Jericho in the 69 position it was basically a cover by Christian. But instead of counting the pin the referee waits for RVD to do his Five Star on both of them. Christian had Jericho pinned for about 10 seconds and the referee just stood there. Who comes up with this stuff?

You really didn't miss anything you haven't already seen. A typical Dudley Tables match, the usual chick match, a usual HBK vs stiff-of-the-month match, the crappy announcer match, the same Shane bump-a-thon as always with a rehash of his backlash 2001 jump, a way below par three-way and a paint-by-numbers HHH match (brawling--->legwork--->sledgehammer--->finish).

All these months of buildup for someone finally dethroning HHH.....and the crowd doesn't give a damn. But that doesn't have to mean anything, since the crowd was awful all night. Let's see what kind of reaction he gets tomorrow.
