The Ashes to Ashes Official PPV Theme Song Thread

"Sail Away" by Enya. It's what he would want. -
Oh God, my original idea was for a hockey-themed stable. Poke Check, Cross Check, and Fore Check. One was Submissions (The Goalie, Poke Check), one was lucha (The Forward, Fore Check), and the last was power (Cross Check). I was very close to pitching it to a few people until Thor told me of the Judge Mental gimmick.

Well if you honestly disagree with him, oppose him. I mean, that's more understandable than most people I know blindly opposing him. So... who is next on the docket?

People have had much worse in the past. Common Moves: Rock Bottom Stone Cold Stunner Pedigree Top Rope Spinning Cradle Piledriver <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Natural Born Killer Josh Tupper had a slew of that stuff. Lemme find his stats...

Kotz, you've officially become an f'n moron. Europeans branching out had a negative effect? Aren't they responsible for bringing advanced civilization to a decent portion of the world? Oops, forgot about that one. Alright, the Industrial Revolution ruined the world? You're joking, right? Someone call Frank Zappa Mask, we want to live in Walt Whitman's America! If not for the Industrial Revolution, we wouldn't be where we are today. To act as though human development would just STOP before the Industrial age. If you are gonna fault Europeans for it, understand that the Industrial Revolution was basically an unstoppable historical event: It was gonna happen no matter what. Thinking that Europe is somehow responsible for it and that the entire world would be better off from it is just plain stupid. If not for the Industrial Revolution, we wouldn't have the technology to stop most of the diseases we have today. Yellow Fever and Influenza anyone? You have this weird idea that if 'Whitey' had never done anything, things would have gone on in peace and harmony, which is the most idealistic bullshit I've ever heard. Humans are humans; if you really believe in all the equality stuff out there, you'd understand that there is nothing too genetically different about a European compared to an African. If the Europeans hadn't done it, the Asians would have, or the Africans would have eventually. A white public official nearly had to give up his office because he said 'Niggered' in the correct context. It isn't as though it's being spread across the first page of a newspaper here.

Is that like the Ohio counterpart to "Gaylord, Michigan"? Anyways, welcome to the fed. It's nice to see a veteran e-fedder.

I understand that Libby is probably fucked (Or will somehow wrangle his way out of this, though Lord only knows how) and rightly so, but how is Cheney exactly implicated in anything? It seems like the Times sort of worded this as Cheney doing more than he really did, which was ask and learn who Wilson was married to. *Shrugs*

I'm not sure how the map indicates one or the other... I mean, maybe I'm missing how one can beget the other only through the map because all the red countries have been corrupt for a while, thusly they'd all still be in poverty. I dunno, I'm just not seeing the definite correlation.

Brilliant analysis. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dub thee "King of the Two-Word Post".

"In other news today, Whitey Ford was released by his captors after a 34 day stand-off..." And for people who say "White People fucked up the world...": Humans fucked up the world. It's the same as if you said 'Christianity fucked up the world'. It didn't, it's just in the majority. Whoever there is more of, the better chance they have of fucking things up because there are simply more of them. Then again, it's Kotz, so I don't understand why I'm even trying this.

Well that clears that up then. I don't know if it's lying so much as what I would call biased research. The Administration just wanted to go to war so intensely that they refused to acknowledge any evidence that contradicted their pre-existing views. I tend to be less harsh on the Administration over the WMD snafu than the complete bullshit that was the Iraq/Al Qaeda connection. A fucking *majority* of Americans thought that Iraq was involved with 9/11 when the war began. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *Points out the first one is grossly out of date* Another point to be made is that the Bi-Partisan Senate Intelligence Committee found no proof that the Bush Administration pressured people for the 'right' intelligence.

The funniest thing about his letter to the Seattle Police is that he doesn't actually state a case. He just bitches about video games and asks Penny Arcade to be arrested. All in all, though, Penny Arcade is just fucking him up. This is a one-sided feud to put Scotsman to shame.

Just found this, and thought some people here might get a chuckle out of it.

Hey, I actually take offense to that one. Y2Jerk is one of the few standable and reasonable posters I argue with in this damned folder. While few others seem to live in reality, he actually argues valid points (Most of the time ) while not trying to come off as an overreacting ass. While I disagree with him on a bunch of things, I can honestly say that I respect and his views a lot more for the arguments I've had with him.

He's not speaking for you, because you aren't a conservative. But, nonetheless, I'd stand by the revised statement as well.

Alright, alright. We'll let the Niggers and Chinks post. But no Irish.

Griffon's Total Extreme Wrestling Fun

Why not? they can exploit a weakness in you but still lose - faces look courageous if they overcome it and heels can use it as an opportunity to cheat etc. those that never lets anyone explore their weaknesses may just as well not have any - take Triple H and if you can't ever write your own character to look bad from time to time you take this game too serious - it's not (well to me) about egos and always looking like Superman. You give and you take <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps it was badly worded. Not to say that you shouldn't have a weakness, or that you shouldn't always be able to exploit it, but Spike's argument was "He always finds a counter, and then another counter". Well, my argument was that you can't win if you don't find a way to stop someone from exploiting it. Toxxic has weaknesses, he realizes this and tries to cover it up and manages to prevent it from being his undoing in the end; I know many of my victories in the SWF were because my wrestler was experienced and had been in enough fights to know how to counter what. Even if it wasn't exactly the perfect counter, it would work one time and he'd be able to live another day. Triple H is the over-use of my mantra, agreed. But I think what Spike is talking about is something much different than that. -
This entire discussion reminds me of this gem from long, long ago. I was SO ready to take that guy out in 1:06.

Sounds to me like it specifically forbids excluding people from any kind of religion from the bench. In other words, no test to see if you are religious, or see if you subscribe to the right religion. On the other hand, it doesnt say anything about asking "(Nominee), are you so strongly bound to your faith that you will let it influence your vote?" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The former is what I meant. You can't have some sort of Religious test that would deny certain people even a nomination simply on the basis of religion.

Griffon's Total Extreme Wrestling Fun

You mean apart from the fact that any non-cruiserweight could overpower him, and what he knew about mat wrestling could be written on the back of a postage stamp? Even towards the end of his career Toxx was still only average on the mat, and a proper wrestler could tie him in knots. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You always had a counter to being over-powered or mat wrestling. And if they could counter that, Toxx could counter that counter. It's an endless cycle of not having any real weaknesses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lemme say something: Finding a way to prevent your weakness from coming into play is not a lack of weakness, it's just being that good. Guys who win all the time don't seem to have a weakness because they can cover it up better. Thusly, people who are often vaunted as not having a weakness are just good enough that they manage to cover their weakness up best. I mean, you don't win matches by allowing someone to completely exploit your weakness (At least, when you are a heel you don't). :-\ -
This is the most entertaining Community thread in a long, long time.
