  1. The comic version of GI Joe Extreme, simply Dark Horse's "GI Joe," was pretty badass. Come to think of it, Dark Horse itself was badass from the late 80's until the late 90's. I remember one episode of GI Joe where GI Joe had to protect this convoy that was under attack by Cobra, and Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were battling in a cave that ended up caving in, so they were running out of air and both decided to sit down and wait for rescue. Was a pretty cool episode.
  2. BRING. IN. MERCEDES. MARTINEZ.
  3. Well, if you're looking for a job...
  4. At The Drive-In might just be one of the worst bands I've ever heard. I can't stand the music, I can't stand the vocals, and I hate the lyrics. At least CoF used to write some good music for Dani to hock a lugie over, stuff that was not only aggressive and heavy but, at times, ambient and lovely from certain perspectives. And I usually hate black metal, especially "unblack" black metal like CoF and Dimmu.
  5. Staind opening for Megadeth. Skrape opening the Extreme Steel Tour. This Boston emo-ish band, Dirty Water, opening for The Misfits a few years ago. The Deadites opening for The Misfits last year, and opening for GWAR this year (doesn't happen this year until next month, but they're going to ruin the flow of the show).
  6. That would've been awesome, actually. "WANTED DEAD - RANDY ORTON" I mean.
  7. Doesn't he still have that 9-year no-compete clause with Vince that won't let him work any other promotion?
  8. I love Zombie Apocalypse.
  9. I remember Joey and Gertner doing commentary during a match between Super Crazy and somebody else, and then I guess Gertner got hit in the head, and he started speaking Spanish. Fookin' hilarious. That, and the whole Awesome/Tanaka series. Also, gotta love the visual of Brian Lee chokeslamming Tommy Dreamer off the stage through the tables, and Dreamer getting his revenge at High Incident (terrible match, but worth a watch just for the ending).
  10. I only get the audio, but the song is by Foo Fighters.
  11. And THAT is why Milky is my new hero.
  12. I liked Apolo during his first TNA run. Abso-fucking-lutely despised him during his second. Now? I haven't watched TNA due to not wanting to have to download RealPlayer and not having the $35 a month to order any TNA PPV (though I might get a crew together or order BFG), so I'll reserve judgment on him until the Spike debut.
  13. Y'all have already seen what I look like.
  14. My thoughts are that Waltman better have a damn good reason, like he almost died, for this to happen, because the guy seemed to be getting his life back on track and, apparently, was having a lot of good matches and was about get a decent push in TNA...and now he just no-show's.
  15. But you're THE FRANCHISE!!! If you leave, TSM will die!
  16. I remember when he...no, wait, who the fuck is Matt Young?
  17. Yes. Yes they were.
  18. Indeed it is. Now...PLEASE, LOWKI, COME BACK!!!
  19. My favorite thing about Heidenreich is his theme song. For some reason it's just fucking cool. Maybe because it sounds like Rammstein with some Mortal Kombat samples over it.
  20. This IS peculiar.
  21. I rewatched Joe/Sabin a couple times. I noticed the offense from Sabin became more and more apparent, albeit pretty redundant (constant dropkicks, really) though that worked best in the match, and I'm still LOVING Joe's psychology of attacking mostly the head and neck. All but 3 or 4 moves done by Joe were to Sabin's head/neck, and the finish was a move that affects both the neck and his ability to breathe, so it made perfect sense.
  22. Did Giant Baba ever do any WWF/WWE or WCW shows?
  23. Yes, because then it's his legal name. This is why indy wrestlers REALLY need to copyright their own names and the names of their moves, because if they ever work for a big company and said big company decides to fuck them over by cutting them after they've broken down their bodies to appease the boss and that company's fans without even letting them keep their names, then they're as good as dead unless they can come up with a great gimmick elsewhere.
  24. Nope, because Scott Levy owns the name and the character.
  25. Daniels being the first to break the Clutch would be good. But I think, MAYBE, that they should do somewhat the same thing that ECW did with the Tazmission: build it up that NOBODY can get out of it or block it for a long time, maybe even a year, and then...somebody sees it coming and blocks it. I could see somebody punching Joe in the head a few times, or even raking his eyes, if they locked it on them to get out, or if it was a no DQ match and he locked it on while they had a chair in their hand, just smack him with the chair to break it. A good way to REALLY put it over, IMO, would be have him lock it onto somebody that's in a stable during a face-to-face confrontation, or something, and the whole stable starts beating on Joe to break the hold...but he keeps it on until somebody really NAILS him with something. Now that his stance has been explained to me, I wholeheartedly agree.
