If you think your talents are worth more, then get another job. That's why we live in a free-market economy. Having worked at a theater for a year-and-a-half while in college, I do feel for you though regarding how management wants auditoriums spotless after a movie, but don't want to wait more than 30 seconds for you to pick up half-eaten bags of popcorm and clean up pop spills. The only "X" factor in this all for me is how does this job accomodate your schooling in regards to hours/etc. If you get another job at a retail place, you may experience a change in hours/workload/etc., which may affect your performance in school. Also, how much more schooling do you need to graduate?...

I was told years ago that bosses can't bad mouth their former employees, but if you give factual evidence to prove your point, I can't see how you can get into trouble. For example, some putz at my old job put me down as a reference and I got a call from some chick about him. There was no fucking way I was going to say anything nice about him, so I told her that he would come in late and miss training meeting that were mandatory to attend and that he fell asleep on the job several times. I didn't say anything "bad" about him but you can't ignore someone with his eyes closed and ready to fall out of his chair...

Baseball. Didn't mind going with several friends to 3 Rivers/Reds games. Nice place to sit, get some sun and watch a game. Now that PNC was built with my tax dollars, I figure I've contributed enough to that shithole of a team. Football. Went to a few games as a kid. Hated it because every time a pass was thrown everyone stood up, blocking my view. Went to a MNF game in the early 90's when the Steelers shut out the Bills, but I don't miss the experience. Hockey. I can see why people would like going to the game rather than watch it on TV, but I'll pass, even though I went to a few Pens games. Basketball. No pro team where I live. Overall, I'm quite content putting the game on the tube...

Turkey Day was rather uneventful since the crackwhore wasn't there and her crackwhore-in-training daughter spent most of the day away from us due to a "headache" and "hot flashes." I felt bad for my 10-year old nephew though because he wanted to watch some show on the History channel and everytime someone came into the living room, they would say "What's the crap?" or something of that nature...
