  1. I don't think Bob is saying JC is a bad actor, just that he's not a box office draw.
  2. Plus it came out in a really competitive week. And I can't imagine Christmas being a good time for raunchy comedies to be released.
  3. I can't think of a more loaded week than this one for me in a long time. This week alone, I'm seeing Juno, Walk Hard, and Sweeney Todd. I'm also checking out Before The Devil Knows You're Dead this week. I can't remember the last time I planned on seeing four movies in a week.
  4. I bet our friend Kinetic is absolutely LIVID at this moment.

  8. Haven't we already determined it's not Kotz though? And Kotz left on his own free will so even if it was him why would the mods do that? We demand answers from our intrepid team of mods!
  9. Eh, Folds has been married three times. And the quality of the family songs on Rockin The Suburbs are almost negated by the shitiness of the ones on Songs For Silverman.
  10. Yeah, and rumor has it he fucked the chick from The Dresden Dolls too. He's producing her first solo album.
  11. I had a hard time getting worked up over the Ben Folds album coming out this summer (Tentatively titled Quest For Fire) after the mediocre Songs For Silverman. But he played 6 or 7 new songs at a recent show and someone posted clips on YouTube and they sound pretty good. Apparently, they're all about his recent divorce so hopefully he's back to being angry instead of sentimental and schmaltzy. Errant Dog Brainwashed
  12. Well luckily I'm seeing Before The Devil tomorrow. Jack Black was pretty funny at times in Margot At The Wedding but yeah, the dramtic parts in the film, I could see he was just a half step from breaking out and acting wacky again. It seems to happen a lot to comedians in their first dramatic roles. When I was watching Pennies From Heaven the other day, it always seemed like Steve Martin might break into his wacky persona at times.
  13. On the rare chance that a Tenta DVD does come out, it has to include his interview on Nitro where he yells "I'M NOT A SHARK, I'M A MAN DAMMIT!"
  14. Come on Czech, 2003 was the year I stopped watching on a regular basis. Chris Benoit's murder of his child and wife can't be a bigger blow to WWE than my dismissal of it dammit!
  15. Iron Maiden- The Trooper I'm in a metal mood, which seems to happen every three months. Whoa oh oh oh oh
  16. Just saw Margot At The Wedding (Wanted to see Before The Devil Knows You're Dead but that wasn't playing at the theater my brother had free passes for). It was OK, dull at parts. I'd have to say even though it was amusing at times, it was a half step back from Squid and The Whale
  17. Having Carlito on her side doesn't help her case. If I had to make a choice, I'd say ban her but I wouldn't really give a shit if she stayed. And I also wonder why the hell Leena keeps coming back. Part of me is interested to see who wins the war of the wills between her and the mods.
  18. ^Is correct in his assumption that Ryan Adams isn't Canadian. He's from North Carolina by the way.
  19. I think she's mugging as well but mugging or not, she still looks like shit.
  20. Exactly- Solie and Lance Russell were the two wrestling announcers who seemed the most like like legitamate sports announcers IMHO. Monsoon's great too but those two are the best.
  21. Interesting bit...I happened to catch the last ten minutes of the half hour special hyping Season 5 and they showed a brief clip of Larry Gillard Jr. (DeAngelo Barksdale) talking about the new season. Maybe someone recieves a ghostly apparition this season.
  22. Woke Up, cooked up some frozen Mozarella Sticks just to clear out the freezer, watched Pennies From Heaven (Steve Martin movie), visited some friends, went home, ate dinner and now I'm here.
  23. I don't think Gorilla was the best wrestling announcer of his time. I'd rank Solie, Lance Russell, and 80s JR all ahead of him easily. However, even though I'm exposed to far more wrestling than I was as a youth in the early-mid 90s, for my money, Monsoon and Heenan is still the most entertaining commentary team I've ever heard.
  24. She's back! How long does she last this time? I don't think she'll make it a day.
