  1. *laughs at Yankeesault for watching that*
  2. He's still under contract. WWE let him work dates in Japan since they're not going to be using him. Things like this make me hate America.
  3. Does no one care anymore? Replaying a little of Mega Man X4. This is some very odd difficulty. If you never played it before or haven't played it in a while it's rather difficult...then you get accustomed to the controls and it becomes a breeze. Learning curve starts up sharply then levels off. However, it is more fun than I remember, even though my opinion on its ranking remains firm.

    Spiderman 2

"That's because she lost her balloon, and now she wants you to get the balloon for her. The balloon is the purple dot." ...I can't be the only person to suspect this would refer to something else.
  5. "DeBona had become tight with broadcast partner Josh 'Matthews' Lomberger, who was said to be the most upset of all." They thought they needed to give Josh one of the most WASPy fake last names imaginable? Why? Bah, Lilian > Rue. I don't care that she's gone. What did they actually expect to do with her anyway?
  6. Great post, Rando. It wasn't just a few snide remarks and attempts at humor, although you're good at those, too. Also, yeah, SOH wanted to see some nude Spanky booty, but he also convinced Dawn Marie to take her top off. An addition though... Going after JBL could work also because, well, it's supposed to be obvious that Kenzo is locked into Japanese "tradition." He apparently possesses a great love of ancient Japanese culture that pre-dates the modernization of the country. He could hate America also because of what "they did" to Japan by, post-WW2, somewhat molding them into a greedy society of capitalist pigs forsaking tradition to become weaklings dependent on money and technology. Bradshaw would be the ultimate symbol of just that sort of American attitude. A perfect target...only that would force him to be a face. However, rather than being ANGRY!~ all the time, he should go about his vendettas with calm, cold calculation. To do otherwise would seem to be in conflict with his character. He would make his intentions known through actions, not bellowing in promos that no one can understand. I'm picturing him manipulating the greedy, selfish Smackdown stars like in Yojim-- *collapses in laughter*
  7. "notJames, K-Kwik went to TNA and became a star and Im sure everyone on this board laughed at him when he first came out with Road Dogg rapping and called him a jobber that wouldnt get past the 2nd match slot on Shotgun. Same with D'Lo and Crash Holly. Whats stopping Gunn from doing the same thing? " Yeah. After all, Gunn's never been given a chance to shine, a major push, or anything.
  8. If the story's true, I'll be glad to call him one.
  9. "I don't think I could blame anyone in this country for losing faith in this nation's electorial process after the debacle four years ago." Yeah...after the best that the parties could come up with was *Bush* and *Gore*, I had lost faith in the process. As for the Electoral College, I think it still is relevant and makes sense. It's best that the candidate with the most support over the country as a whole should win, not with the most support in a few concentrated areas. Naturally, Hillary and many Democrats want a direct popular election for president. Besides, in most cases, the winning candidate wins both. However, the *electors* are an outdated and unnecessary vestige from the system's origin. We can effectively cut them out without any problem, IMO.
  10. Oh, I didn't know where Tajiri was. That doesn't excuse WWE's misuse of him for the past 2-3 years but at least he's not being shafted to dark matches. Come on, you say that as if you didn't hate Michael Cole already. Of course, Torrie just wore a kimono, she wasn't a geisha. The gimmick makes me think that the WWE writers just watched some of Kurosawa's sushi Westerns, disregarded everything in it but the characters' looks, and called it a day. Then the thought of WWE writers even WATCHING Kurosawa makes me collapse into a fit of giggles. The Yakuza gimmick idea is solid, but WWE's already blown that. However, Kenzo would still look much cooler and relevant in a black suit as a silent thug then being carried around on "his own personal toilet" (most of Cena's stuff was bad, but that struck me as pretty funny since I was thinking the same thing).
  11. Tajiri WAS over huge as a face until about the time the Invasion was winding down and they turned him into a jobber. Also, when Tajiri was a face he actually made Torrie Wilson tolerable. That's about the only period of time when I didn't completely loathe her. Then they made him the evil stereotypical Japanese heel, and Torrie was the emotionally abused girlfriend who rebelled by taking off her clothes. That sucked, but Tajiri was drawing good heel heat regardless. Obviously he's no Low Ki, but Tajiri's offense looks waaaay better than Suzuki's. I guess the problem is: Tajiri's short. Of course, he's been on Raw for a while, but I don't remember what they've done with him since that Batista match.
  12. "He inspired loathing in you, which does make him interesting. If you watch to see him get his ass kicked, you still you watch in part because of him. " Zorn and Supes take the most punishment out of any of them. Unless Aqua gets skewered on a fish hook or something like that I'm not going to be watching any episodes where he's the focus. Of course, if they completely turn him around then we have something. In his current state, he's lousy.
  13. Oh my...they're actually making Aquaman a recurring character? Aquaman has always been a lousy character and I didn't like him when he last appeared in Justice League (that two parter). So not only doesn't he even really have any decent powers (he's kinda strong and has tough skin), but he was a complete prick and his own stupidity cost him his hand. Oh, and when he got his throne back, he was a vindicative, vengeful S.O.B. and killed off his usurper anyway. Great character, guys. Hopefully they kill him off or completely turn his character around. Other than that, I love the Justice League series and can't wait for the new episodes. It's just that the time slot is pretty bad for me.
  14. So if that's the case then we have two parties breaching contract. If Stern was non-breaching he'd have a good shot at winning it. As it is he can probably get the licensing fees but that's probably it, I'd imagine.
  15. Zaz: So why's he ticked off at WWE?
  16. I thought those were cut? I lost my copy of HAND (hey...wait a minute...) so I don't recall which comments you mean. I think he said one that was kind of vague although suggestive but other than that not much.
  17. Maybe Flair simply has nothing good to say about Mick as a performer. You know how "old school" he is. Remember his bullcrap over the "real names?" Casual fans know him best for his big bumps. Mick was at the very center of when Vince put the stake into the heart of kayfabe. He even goes by his real name everywhere these days. Nope, nope. Not Mick.
  18. Ahhh...okay. You see, we have dogs... *points to the living room storm door with the broken handle, covered in dents and scratches* So that's what I didn't get. Thanks for the explanation. Now I just need to figure out "could care less."
  19. "Unless he does form a Japanese/Asian faction, I really don't see him being of any use. " A stable of jobbers isn't going to get him anywhere.
  20. Boo-hoo. Foley will be back when he needs money or a book plug. Whores take plenty of abuse and always come back for more. Of course, Flair's a huge whore himself, so whatever. Fire back, Mick.
  21. So he doesn't take *innocent* lives....but all bets are off for the rest, huh? I suppose there's lots to work with there, but if they decide to do a movie with Venom and Sam isn't interested, I don't know of a director who could bring the same things to the table that Raimi did. Raimi's talented and has been a fan of the character. If you don't have something like that in your director, you end up with debacles ranging from Batman & Robin (hack director, clueless about the material) to Hulk (good director, but didn't really *get* how to bring it to the screen and didn't really seem to have much interest in the source material at all, since it was more his adaption than anyone else's). Anyway, Spider-Man 2's another example of how to do it right. For how to do it completely wrong...well, see Catwoman.
  22. Stern is a douchebag and I hope he loses. Clear Channel may be pure evil but I'm on their side in this affair. -"His contract explicitly requires his show comply with all FCC rules and regulations. On several occasions, it did not. Clear Channel Radio has both a legal right and an obligation to stop broadcasting it," he said in a statement.- So, I see it as CC doing something they had every legal right to do. Boo-hoo for Stern. -Infinity, a subsidiary of media giant Viacom, and One Twelve are claiming that Clear Channel failed to notify them that the show was axed, as demanded in their contract for the Stern show. They are also seeking recompense for owed licence fees.- Failed to notify them...when exactly? I'd heard of it at the time they'd done it for crying out loud. Or was a "warning" supposed to precede it?
  23. Okay...get him off TV, that works... Although, sending him to OVW is supposed to make him improve? Has that ever actually happened?
  24. That's the actual title? Oh well. I've heard the audio book version of Skipping Christmas, although I don't really see Tim Allen as Luther. He needs to be cantankerous and crabby. So while he takes plenty of abuse he's trying desperately to keep his dignity in it all. However, Tim's version seems to be just going with it. Plus there's clearly stuff in the movie added that wasn't in the book. Bah. Anyway, check out the book or audio book. It's really hilarious and probably will be far superior to the movie, which I expect will be just a load of stupid sight gags. The really funny moments were of course well set up with Luthor's own insights. As a movie...I don't think it will work. Spider-Man 2--great. Better than that last movie and develops the Harry/Spider-Man conflict well. Now how does Harry justify his quest for revenge if he now knows that his dad was the Goblin? We know he will, but it's kind of a shock to the system I'd imagine. Although clearly he's losing it already... Maybe I missed something, but what makes the tentacles not only have minds of their own, but evil minds? Why does merely possessing them turn Ock into a madman capable of doing anything to achieve his dreams? I can buy that Ock, after his entire life's work has been ruined, denies that it was *his* fault and wants to try to do it again, right this time. However, the tentacles were seemingly supposed to be the impetus for it, like they controlled him. That was kind of confusing for me. As for the Venom fans, *allegedly* Raimi has no interest in Venom or Carnage. Carnage I can see him not wanting to use since there's not much of a character to explore there. He's nuts and kills lots of people. That's about all there is to him. Venom I don' t know about. The comic peeps could probably tell me if there's enough of a character to carry a movie, but isn't Venom basically a *good* guy except that he hates Spidey? The 3rd movie is all set up well, though. Until the Harry/Spidey thing is wrapped up they can't really go too far beyond that.
  25. This is exactly the way I feel, especially when Goodear keeps saying "so what...he's a developing worker." I don't want to see a "developing worker," especially when WWE gets to a point where they don't bother pushing talent to improve once they get on TV. As for Mordechai...my perfectly honest opinion is that I cannot get past his look. I think he's so freakin' ridiculous-looking that nothing else matters. Obviously his offense is limited although I guess he's supposed to be that way. However, why all white? Why a top that looks like an altered version of the Test logo top? Why the goofy white hair? Why the staff? The Undertaker character only once in a while has the cartooniness pop up. I don't see a use for it today. As for Kenzo: What's this "innovative" aspect to his character the original poster speaks of? His character is "I'm angry, and I'm Japanese." Even freakin' Cena pointed out how uninteresting that is. He's drawn heat based on the evil foreign heel thing...and I guess that's his only upside right now. The little bit of offense he can do looks like crap. His promos are a non-factor since he can't speak English. When they made Hiroko (who allegedly speaks English well) a geisha they pretty much killed the opportunity to make her his mouthpiece. What are his motivations, specific enemies he wishes to target, etc? Spike Dudley and other Cruiserweights? WHO CARES!!??! Basically, in summary Mord could be good but I hate the character, and it limits him as a worker. Plus as mentioned...he has no explanation behind his motivations, and even so what is he actually doing that goes with his character? Kenzo's just a lousy wrestler and the gimmick is the only thing keeping him going, but once that's worn off he's basically useless IMO. Agreed with Rudo, at least on that. He makes me laugh, not hate him.
