  1. I doubt we'll get the LE, but who knows? It's awesome that we're getting different soundtracks. Are they just Original/Arranged/???, or for different games direct from the arcade? Are the different endings in there? I seem to recall several of the endings changing through the course of the series. By SFII The Animated Movie, do you mean that we select something on a menu and watch a DVD-quality rendition of the awesome anime movie that came out in the late 90's...or the FMV game that was based upon it? Probably it will be strictly the US version, with the new soundtrack.

Fighting Force 2 sucks. Also, yeah, it isn't as much of a beat 'em up and more of a third-person platformer. You control one guy (one of FF1 peeps with a goatee now), and you: wander around a bunch of poor-looking contained locales struggle with lame controls try to fulfill vague goals by punching/kicking/shooting various things, with an occasional clue to go on watch stuff blow up ...that's pretty much it. They attempted to go in a different direction with the sequel, and pretty much screwed everything the first game had going for it. The weapons are more diverse, but the guns are a pain in the ass to use in actual combat. SoR3 doesn't have bad music, mind you, it's just that SoR2 has one of the best 16-bit game soundtracks ever.
  3. It still isn't any good.
  4. DX doesn't have the same screen proportions as the NES version, so it's a lot harder. This version of SMB is basically about equal to the NES scren proportions, so in that regard it is superior.

I liked Fighting Force as well, but it hasn't aged well. Die Hard Arcade I haven't played in a long time, but the sequel, Dynamite Cop, is very good as well. DHA was basically just the first game with new textures slapped onto the hero. The Shenmue-esque cinema sequences can be slightly annoying, but that's not too much of a problem. Besides, there are some hilarious weapons. Zombie Revenge, also on Dreamcast, is rather fun as well, but gets pretty difficult once you get to the first real boss. Controls are iffy sometimes, but it's dirt cheap.
  7. What a dumb bitch. She should have taken the money and ran. How much money do you think Austin has, considering how cheaply he lives? Not that I think that's right, of course. Even if they were married she wouldn't be entitled to all that much, because they haven't even been dating very long..

The GBA got a sequel to Altered Beast. I haven't played it, but despite it being made by the same people who gave us that bad Revenge of Shinobi for GBA, it is supposed to be good. Golden Axe got a Sega Ages revamp, but it is supposed to be bad.
  9. UYI: Basically it is Super Turbo, but you can play as all the versions of the characters, from SFII all the way up to the Super Turbo characters. So it's possible to stack up Championship Edition characters vs. Super versions, and so on. Although I don't think there's, say, SFII Bison or CE Dee Jay, although they could tweak the characters to play how they might have played in those games.

wildpegasus: At least try Streets of Rage 2. The others are kind of iffy, but SoR2 is a bonafide classic. If you don't have a Genesis, SoR2 is on the Smash Pack and there's ROMs around. SoR3 suffers from basically lacking in some areas compared to 2. The music isn't as good, the animation has been downgraded, and the difficulties have been bumped up one (the "Easy" mode in SoR3 is approximately like Bare Knuckle 3's Normal mode). SoR1 is fun, but really shows its age, with smaller sprites, poorer colors/animation compared to 2, lacking attacks compared to 2. It's still rather fun today, but doesn't have the lasting appeal.
  11. So Austin's expanded his moveset to include the Giant Swing? Old school! None of this means jack unless Austin's canned, of course.
  12. A quick google search says: Gail Kim was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Korea can have Toronto. I figured as much. Does this mean Gail Kim is going to be repackaged as an evil North Korean? I hope not..... cuz an evil Torontian would work more. It's Toronto's fault Hogan became champion again. That's evil enough for me.
  13. Raw gets sloooowly better, while SD quickly turns to crap. =/
  14. Probably all that ham did it to him.

Heh, I like SOR3 as well, so count me in on that. You forgot to mention that it makes good use of the six-button controller, Sakura. The animation and music were disappointing, though. With a Game Genie, you can play as Ash in the American version. I was playing Beats of Rage a little while ago--it is a little short on play mechanics but still is a blast. It actually has a sizable fan community as well since it is customizable: http://www.segaforums.com/senileteam/beatsofrage/
  16. The Gail thing was a real "WTF?" moment. So, are Booker T and Jazz going to be announced as "from Africa?"
  17. What's with the pail? Is Randy going to be milking Foley?
  18. Remember, this is supposed to be getting Orton over. How? I have no fucking idea. Just keep signing those checks for Mick, though, Vince. Yup. Build for the future, there.
  19. "And whats this talk about Vince covering up something about Snuka. " Jimmy Snuka Sr. "allegedly" killed his girlfriend, but wasn't convicted.
  20. Screw Final Fantasy. Give us Crystalis.
  21. This? How's that headache-inducing? The rest was basically answering his other questions and throwing in a side note on accessories as well. Maybe I should do a diagram next time.
  22. Not surprising--QT is a real Japanese-culture-worshipping nerd. Would it work...ehhhh...not sure. Although I'm wondering if it will start live action, then... "The rest of the film will be done by our Korean animators..."
  23. ???????????? What's to "?" about? He's a big, fat, manwhore.
  24. I used to. It's very handy to be able to d/l saves from GameFAQs, because stuff getting wiped out isn't a major concern for me. However, I only have my N64 one right now.
  25. Funaki may--however, you can't just learn proper pronunciation from living in America. Unless he learned English when he was young and spoke it regularly, he's going to be transposing L's and R's for the rest of his life. That's just how it works.
