I have Bonk's Revenge on Game Boy. Is there much of a difference?
-
You probably did hear region-free. Perrin Kaplan said it but she was mistaken. I think modchips for Wii hit either in or just before January.
-
I think there were a lot of similar complaints about Half Life 2. Good on PC, crappy on xbox, right?
-
Boo another one that's on Animal Crossing. Why not "yay, there's another one I don't have to put up with Resetti to play?"
-
Thank God. With all this activity on the forums that was really necessary.

On the Harvey Birdman game: it will be published by Capcom but developed by High Voltage, the same folks who did the last Leisure Suit Larry game and the Family Guy game. So rest assured you'll get your dick jokes.

Indeed it isn't. WWM fails at reading comprehension. In theory, if it does hit the BC list, is it even worth bothering with considering Oblivion is on 360?
-
In fairness, it is supposed to be more of a tutorial to tell you how to do those things and and to show you the possibilities. We know it plays games, and you should know how to make it do that. But the acting on display is terrifically awful. And there seems to be some trickery on display there with the picture--it doesn't look that bright in any real light. At least as far as I've seen.

Any comment on that title from some one who isn't WWM? WWM: What titles would you vote to avoid, just so I know--barring the obvious like Chicago Enforcer, Drake, Tao Feng, etc.

Nobody seems to think Jade Empire is "okay." Either it's great or terrible. I'd be glad to also hear very specifically how the gameplay works for any recommended titles, or if it's not a recommended one, the issues at work. I'd figured that xbox 1 RPGs would be pretty slim, but that's okay. I don't really need a game in that genre anyway right now.

The list: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardco...tygameslist.htm I got a 360 last week, and have got a bunch of games, both 360 and xbox1. I know about the good, well-publicized titles that are compatible, and so far I've gotten the following: Crimson Skies : Old-timey, mission-based flight action/shooter. Ninja Gaiden Black: Enhanced version of Ninja Gaiden. Kicking my ass hard. Thief- Deadly Shadows: stealth-based game where you play a (guess). Hard game, got it for free when I picked up other used games at Hollywood Video Doom 3 Lim Edition: Cuz it was cheap and has Ultimate Doom and Doom 2. I haven't touched the main game. Some titles I was considering: Fable- Heard it's an RPG, but also heard action-adventure. My affinity for the Zelda series is well known, as well as fast-paced RPGs that cut out the bull (Chrono Trigger), or have solid, fun, action-heavy battles (Kingdom Hearts, Paper Mario series). I dislike KotoR and FFXII. I don't really dig dungeon crawlers or roguelikes (I really, really wanted to like Dark Cloud 2, but couldn't really stick with it). What could I expect with Fable. Sid Meier's Pirates! - All I know is that people seem to really like it but i don't know much about it beyond that. Grabbed by the Ghoulies - Supposedly it's good, clean, shoot-up-baddies old-school gameplay, but it got critically massacred. Would like other opinions on it, though.

CN / HB properties are owned by Turner, so yeah. But they couldn't throw Superman or Wonder Woman in there since they don't own them (WB does), although they do show Superfriends in syndication. Turner owns some crappy original characters like Apache Chief/Wendy/Marvin, though.

Weak. Oh well. *Goes back to slaughtering gang members by the dozens in Crackdown*
-
I'm playing the full game of Crackdown. Darn fun. I just drove defensively in the cars, though. I got a Halo 3 beta invite. What is it? Singleplayer or multi?
-
How would they do that? Have animation 10x better than the show and forget to include dick jokes?
-
Yeah, region freeness rules. (Take note of this, Nintendo/MS.)
-
Yeah, Gyakuten Saiben 4 is the first game in the series to be designed especially for DS, although Japan got the re-releases as well. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/13/phoenix-...ed-for-america/ Screenies included. As you can see, it basically looks exactly the same as PW1 and 2.
-
The sequels were far superior. Single-plane side-scrolling beat 'em up violence gets rather dull without excellent level designs or other sorts of gimmicks. Super Paper Mario is one of the funniest games I've ever played.

Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law: http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/04/capcom_phoenix_.html Confirmed-- Phoenix Wright 3 for US: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/13/phoenix-...ed-for-america/

Sony has announced that (at least in the US), the 20 GB PS3 is dead. So, speculate. Is Sony planning a PS3 "elite?" Either way, is a price drop imminent? How lame is it if there isn't? Does this effect your decision to buy/not buy one? Why the #&(!^ does David Jaffe swear so &%)-)@#>ing much? Do you know the Polygon Man?
-
I did see KH2 GH at Wal-Mart. It's the same packaging but with the GH banner and minus the shininess of the cover.
-
Common sense told me so (price of wired controllers MS is selling), but it didn't hurt to ask. And cool, didn't know about that. Have you actually done it? It talks about partitioning it if it is any larger than 32GBs...will it matter to the 360 when you pick your storage device when it's partitioned? Oh, and I downloaded the Crackdown demo and playing the crap out of it. I know the full game doesn't have you level up quite so fast, but it isn't tedious, is it? I do have some trouble getting around in vehicles without killing police and civilians though. Oops. Same way in the full game?

"Fourth rate RPG?" I wasn't the biggest fan of the battle system, but it worked. However, the timing-based attacks were still far more strategic than most turn-based battle systems. It would be great to see Valkyrie Profile get the same treatment after the relative disappointment of VP2.

I suspect $49.99, because it isn't just Final Mix +, it's the remade chain of memories too. I think an idea price would be $29.99 myself, though.
