Amazon knocked back my order until after Thanksgiving, so it's a waiting game now.
-
Anyone actually find it on sale in any stores today? I checked on my break for a lark (I ordered mine from Amazon a month ago) and Toys R Us didn't get it, GameStop didn't get it and FYE didn't get it.

"What a game", Al? That was one of the worst played football games I've seen all season. That most likely ends any hopes for Indy getting homefield.
-
Nobody wants to win this fucking game. Unbelievable.

WHY ARE THEY PASSING?!

Chargers have gotten, what, 10 points off those 5 interceptions? Even a decent offense should be able to do better than that.

So much for a bowl. The Suck of the Irish must have rubbed off on my picking ability.

Injuries or no injuries, Peyton is simply shitting the bed tonight. 3 INTs and we're barely into the 2nd.
-
Where the hell was this defense last week? San Diego is just so hard to nail down right now; they'll smash Indy tonight and then lay a big fat egg next week against Jacksonville. Philip Rivers is not a very good QB right now.

Even I was rolling my eyes reading that stuff. The officiating crew just fucking sucked.

If you're a graphics type guy, this series sort of sucks, but gameplay, it's quite superb actually. Well actually another downside is they don't really seem to distinguish the difference between a finisher and a regular move. I guess it's more in line with Japan though where even an elbow strike finishes a guy as much as a burning hammer does. Nah, pretty graphics don't mean much to me. I've played some fun games that looked like a 12 year old designed it. As long as it's enjoyable and giving me a great wrestling game (haven't seen one of those in a long time) then I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Plus the 15 dollar tag just screams "low risk, high reward". The controls do worry me a little bit, how much of a timing problem we talking here? You just have to train yourself to hit the button when you see the two wrestlers hands touch eachothers shoulders in the lockup stance. It's really not that hard to get used to at all. Once you get the hang of it, as everyone else has said above me, you'll be pulling off moves left, right and center! That's it? Well heck, that doesn't sound too bad at all. I can deal with that. Plus really, I don't think I care too much if I lose matches. It would actually be a nice change of pace to have a game I lose a lot at. Turn the AI setting all the way down to start until you get the hang of the timing, and then gradually dial it up. That's what I did when I started playing the SNES version. I guess I gotta wait until the new Wrestlecrap book to come out before Amazon ships my copy. Damn my cheap ass wanting the free shipping!

He's hoping the Steelers do the "honorable" thing and just sit on the ball the entire second half. Looks like I'm well on my way to winning my football pool this week.

The Ravens call Ray Lewis "The Goat"? Wha? Oh and I wonder how much more Ed Hoculi's shirt is going to shrink in this rain. One more personal foul call and it's going to rip off his torso like The Hulk.

I heard about that, but a domed stadium by design artificially enhances crowd noise. Still....OMG KICK THEM OUT OF THE LEAGUE~!

Joseph Addai's day kinda punches a big hole in the "they were shorthanded" arguement. He absolutely torched them in the first half but was kept in check in the second. If Reggie Wayne, one of the wideouts they DID have today, done his job and caught that deep pass that just bounced off his hands we wouldn't even be arguing that. Like I said earlier in the week, Addai was the key factor; the guy scares me to death and has convinced me that NE absolutely made the wrong choice in last year's draft.

You know, turning out the studio lights to "go green" doesn't really work when you have all the big screens and useless scrolling graphics still on.
-
There were some terrible PI calls in that game and the penalty numbers were a little too out of whack for my tastes. I'm not saying NE didn't earn almost every call (aside from those aforementioned horrible PI calls), but I just wish the referees would have let them play the game. And this team played it's worst 3 quarters of football of the season and STILL beat a fucking great Colts team. Only Pittsburgh has any shot of beating them in the regular season.

Wow, BC's title hopes and Matt Ryan's Heisman hopes may have just died on the same INT.
-
What do you need to be bowl eligible? .500 record or better? If that's the case I need to win out the rest of the season.

A run play? A RUN PLAY?!

Shit, this is the most amped up Celtics crowd I've heard in a long time.

Before she got the implants and reverted to screeching out promos, I thought Steph was one of the best (and hottest) female heels the company had.
