  1. This game is straight out of the 1940s. 0-0 with 3 minutes to go in the 4th. Prediction: Heinz Field will have FieldTurf by the start of the '08 season.
  2. Yeah, you could do that in II.
  3. This reminded me so much of the Dolphins game in '04 so much with Feeley just slinging everything in there and getting the ball to the right place. If McNabb played, we would have seen the 30 point drubbing everyone was expecting. I feel sorry for the Ravens now. Brady mad! Bill mad! Bill and Brady smash purple birds!
  4. I don't know how accurate that is. I just picked up FPR at Toys R Us on my lunch break. Yep, I just bought it before I left work there tonight.
  5. It does massively suck that a game that could decide the #1 seed in the conference is going to be available to only like 30% of the country. And be called by Bryant Gumbel.
  6. Atlanta made this interesting for a quarter and a half which is about a quarter more than I thought they would.
  7. Apparently I share a name with many professors and PHD holders.
  8. Completing the picks: Jacksonville (7.5) Denver Cleveland (3.5) N.Y. Giants (7.5) (3.5) New Orleans Kansas City (5.5) (3.5) Seattle Cincinnati Washington San Francisco San Diego (9.5) Philadelphia Miami BAL - 10
  9. I don't know how somebody could possibly succeed on Hard or higher without using the pinky.
  10. Was I blind, or was there a crawl that said the semifinal fights will be live on Spike TV?
  11. (3.5) Green Bay Dallas (14.5) Atlanta
  12. Just saw this from Gregg Easterbrook: "Put Joey Harrington behind New England's great offensive line, and he'd be a star." ........ No.
  13. What makes you so sure its automatically Jericho/Orton right now? True, he said he'll take the title from him "when I get the chance", which isn't really a challenge.
  14. I'll storm the castle with you, brother.
  15. Yeah, it seems like all my store got was the Wii version. Of course, everyone that actually wants it wants the 360 one and we haven't gotten more than a few a week since it came out.
  16. Barney harmonizing his moans of pain was the icing on top of the icing.
  17. They are at their league mandated limit of prime-time games (which I believe is 6 for one team). After the MNF game at Baltimore, that's it for prime time games until the playoffs. EDIT: I forgot about the Giants game on NFL Network in Week 17. THAT will be the last one.
  18. He pulled him with ELEVEN minutes left in the 4th! When was the last time you saw a QB pulled in a blowout any earlier than the beginning of the 4th?
  19. They'll probably grab a top LB, maybe a RB since I think they are souring on Maroney (who barely saw the field after his TD run). New England was running the ball and gashing the Bills for yards on those "running up the score" drives. If Buffalo can't stop them, why take pity and let up?
  20. The more I read about this strike, the more I'm glad I reopened my NetFlix subscription at the right time. I barely watch network TV as it is, but now the shows I DO watch are going to have their seasons cut in half *and* I have to deal with incessant reruns of Conan and Letterman.
  21. You have a point there. Admittedly I haven't watched many Packers games (just their primetime showings and whenever FOX gives me a game not involving the Giants), but I still think they are just a slight step below NE and Dallas in the elite of the league. I'm highly looking forward to the Packers/Cowboys matchup on NFL Network in a few weeks.
  22. The way they did it.
  23. Thing is, outside the Pats and Dallas, there really isn't another "dominant" team. A majority of Green Bay's wins have been fairly close affairs and the other contenders (Indy and Pittsburgh) have fairly embarassing losses to their records (vs. San Diego and Arizona respectively). The rest of the league is just plain mediocre and it shows in the games. Teams blow out their opponents one week and shit the bed the next. If I were a fan of any other team, I'd be pretty unenthused by the season this year.
  24. Cincinnati (3.5) Green Bay (9.5) (3.5) Cleveland Kansas City (for some reason I see Indy winning by only 14) Miami Buffalo New Orleans Oakland (10.5) Pittsburgh Jacksonville (2.5) (3.5) Tampa Bay Washington (2.5) N.Y. Giants San Francisco Seattle (5.5) Tennessee BAL: 27
