  1. Tom Brady probably gets more (female) tail than this entire board combined. I'm not a Pats fan, but I'm just sayin'. Nice thread title. Are you purposely hoping to get banned/warned?
  2. He's their starting middle linebacker, and 1 of the best defensive players in the league. It's understandable that the Bears would try to stop him from participating in wrestling. If he lands wrong, or if somebody falls into him, he could easily blow out a knee, hurting the team (which is paying him big $$$). It's fairly common that teams bar their top players from participating in "risky" activities, i.e motorcycles, jet skiing, etc.
  3. But there's the problem - the average fan isn't going to tune in to watch wrestling late on a Sat. night, no matter who is on the roster. You'd be taking some of the biggest fan favorites and putting them in a bad situation, esp. Cena, arguably the hottest face in the company right now, that will more than likely end up losing them their heat. Plus, you end up hurting Raw & SD by taking away some of their biggest names. I can't see how they could make this work without making it seem like a C-level show.
  4. I would say it isn't. He was never a good mic guy, and he really only thrived in hardcore matches, which they really don't do anymore. Add in the age factor, plus uncertainty on how many people remember him, as well as ring shape (he's been out how many years), and I would say they should pass on bringing him back.
  5. I didn't see that as working his way up through the midcard. I saw it as having him penciled in the uppercard/ME scene, and using those feuds to get him the required heat (which failed). And the Foley feud, to me, is them saying "well, those other ones didn't work, so let's try this, and if this doesn't work, then we're in trouble."
  6. Seriously, though, I don't think most people would mind if he was in the midcard, going through some feuds to get him over before bumping him up to ME status (if warranted). But, as it is, he got put in the top group on Raw, hangs w/ the champ, and is scheduled to beat Foley at WM, all while doing nothing to really distinguish himself as a top player. I'll agree he's improved somewhat in the ring, but he's still incredibly vanilla. His mic skills are passable, but nothing special. His heat is negligible, and the Foley feud is seen by most as a desperate attempt to get Orton over to justify his placement on the card. Add in to that the rumors that he'll eventually (sooner, rather than later) end up feuding w/ HHH for the title, and it's easy to see why most people hate him.
  7. "Deal with it"
  8. If Orton starts pulling off awesome matches and getting good heat, he'll start getting respect around here. Look at AS (one of the most critical guys here) & Lesnar - AS was shitting on Lesnar at every opportunity when he first came in. Once Lesnar started having good matches and drawing heat, AS did a complete 180 on him. If the same thing happens w/ Orton, I'm sure people will start giving him his props.

I doubt they'll bring him back for WM, which is in line w/ the reports from the usual rumor sites. It makes sense if you think about it. They'll probably want to make a big deal about his return, but if they bring him back for WM he'll just be overshadowed by Foley's (likely) 1st match, Taker/Kane, Lesnar/Goldberg, Benoit/HHH.
  10. "I'll make you bite sized."
  11. Face teams on SD: 1) APA 2) Rikishi/Scotty
  12. "Everybody 3 count, One, two, threeeeeeeeee!"
  13. I'd rather they get built up as a credible face team, since SD is bereft of them, rather than build them up for a couple weeks only to immediately feud them.
  14. Problem is, there arean't any face teams to chase them for the titles that wouldn't end up being transition champs themselves, in which case the belts would go to another heel team w/ no credible face challengers. Too bad they pissed Kendrick off enough that he decided to quit, because London/Spanky should/could have been built up into a hot underdog face team. Maybe turn TWGTT face?
  15. OK, only Heidenreich would be a worse worker.
  16. Hey, put the guy w/ surgically repaired neck in a ladder match - brilliant! What's even more briliant? That HHH got his buddy in the title match, while setting it up that HHH doesn't have to get pinned. Holly/Angle? Who's bright idea is this? Nobody cares about Holly, so putting him up against your ME guys is ridiculous. Nobody will believe Holly has a shot of winning. Somebody better hide this thread from AS.
  17. Does the average WWE fan know or care about New Jack? No. Besides, all New Jack can do is hardcore brawls, and the WWE doesn't do them anymore (or very rarely). Signing him would be a waste of time, and a slap in the face of guys like Kanyon who hardly make it on TV.
  18. Matt is awesome. And "Long Road" is an awesome song.
  19. Or Kanyon, provided he ever gets on TV.
  20. Plus, what has the WWE been pushing their workers to do? Use psychology, work smart, cut down on high spots to make them mean something, and tell a story in the ring. So, they'll bring back Hardy & stick him in the Cruiser Division (such as it is) even though he can't do any of what the WWE wants their guys to do.
  21. I thought Knoble's real name was Jamie Howard. Or is "Howard" a ring name, too?
  22. Netscape seems to be acting funky with the upgrade. I use Netscape at home, and every now & then posts will be missing when I get into some threads.
  23. They're all the same person, dipshit. I thought we were asking *you* the questions. Is that better? I thought we were asking *you* the questions.
  24. I believe They kept Rikishi in the final three because it would force them to work together... Fair enough. Billy Gunn in the final 4 was unneeded, though.
  25. Moonshine? What, did I stumble into a Dukes of Hazard episode?
