  1. I don't think that date had a lot of "workrate", ifyouknowwhatImean.
  2. Green Bay - 27 Minnesota Vikings @ Atlanta Falcons Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers Oakland Raiders @ Chicago Bears Arizona Cardinals @ Dallas Cowboys Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (Plummer's 1st real test) Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots MIAMI DOLPHINS~! @ New York Giants San Diego Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers Indianapolis Colts @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers kkk - no lock? I know that's Braves's deal, but might as well choose 2 close match-ups for locks. EDIT - re-thought that Redskins/Eagles game
  3. "Fumb". Fucking + dumb = "fumb". Y'know, like "fugly". ...OK, that's pretty lame.
  4. So, they've build up Show as a ME monster, and Eddie's one of the hottest faces in the company right now, and they build a feud off bad Mexican food and a case of the runs? I bow to the brilliance of the writing team.
  5. Yang is under contract, but I don't believe AmDragon is. He had a couple matches on Heat & Velocity, but they were probably just try-out matches.
  6. "I'm sorry, esse, I don't have a square to spare. I can't spare a square, homes."
  7. For Bif: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The answer to IDRM's problem is 666
  8. For the few of you that care: From the Rumor Pit I don't have about 1/2 of the songs on the rarities CD, so that's a definite pick-up for me. The extras on the DVD also push it into the "must buy" category for me, too. Without the extras, I'd probably let it slide w/out getting it, especially considering they're supposed to release a DVD from the 2003 tour ala "Touring Band 2000".
  9. Did you check under the couch? You'd be amazed what turns up under there.
  10. b) divide 12 by .394 c) divide 8500 by .085 (.085x = 8500, divide both sides by .085 to get "x")
  11. It'll give management a good idea of who can or can't get over. You could also run some Velocity feuds/angles over onto SD (typically opening match/segment). Also, as I said, it would also give guys a chance to work on their gimmicks/characters, as well as work on & improve their mic skills, and get comfortable on camera in interview segments. Besides, it'd be no more worthless than how they currently utilize Velocity. At least w/ using angles & feuds, you can improve morale by using guys & giving them a chance to make an impression.
  12. Why do they recap Smackdown on Velocity? Seems like a waste of time to me. Consider: 1) SD was a mere 2 days prior. 2) They're only reaching a fraction of their normal viewers, most of whom have already seen SD (unlike Heat where the most recent Raw was almost a full week prior). Plus, at 10 PM on a Saturday night, if you're watching wrestling, you're already a big fan (and most likely have already seen SD). Is there a huge group of people watching Velocity that don't watch SD? Stopping the recaps isn't going to turn anybody off from watching Velocity. 3) The recaps don't tie into anything happening on Velocity. A better use for Velocity, IMO, would be to drop the SD recaps in favor of 1-2 more matches and/or mic time for guys. Treat it like SD's "minor leagues". Run angle/feuds w/ the lesser used guys and/or guys w/ nothing to do to get them over, moving them up to SD as warranted. Guys can get a chance to work on their gimmicks/characters. Also, you'd give guys a chance to gain experience on the mic, rather than throwing them on SD and expecting Austin-like mic prowess. As it is, Velocity is more-or-less a throwaway show. Angles/feuds hardly progress on Velocity, and the majority of matches are just 2 guys out there w/ no reason for a match. I know the general consensus is to make Velocity the "cruiser show", but I wouldn't limit it solely to that. Cruisers can be a big part, but you could build up guys for the US & Tag Team scenes. The SD roster has a bunch of talented guys sitting around w/ no direction (or, in some cases, no TV time), it just seems like Velocity would be a more productive way to use them. (I realize I'm not breaking any new ground here, just bored @ work)
  13. Pelle Lindbegh flashbacks. Wouldn't surprise me to see that he was DUI. Sure hope they pull through OK.
  14. Or, like Matt Hardy, you're doomed to wander the mid-card in a zombie-like state. Seriously, what's the deal w/ Hardy? Comes up w/ a great character, improves his mic skills & wrestling, gets over, and the only meaningful thing he's down on SD is feud w/ Rey for the Cruiser belt. Missed the last PPV, and the one before that was only in the APA Bar Room Brawl. And it's not like he's a WCW buy-out guy, where it's an obvious bias against them. He's a "home-grown" guy. And don't get me started on Kanyon...
  15. Haas wrestled for Seton Hall. Both of TWGTT have an amateur background.
  16. Damn Kordell Stewart couldn't pull out 1 more TD at the end....
  17. [beavis]Why is it, they call it "taking a dump", and not "leaving a dump"? I mean, you're not taking it anywhere. Funk dat.[/beavis]
  18. You could also argue Denver hasn't really beaten anybody. Winless Chargers, a Cincy team that just won their 1st game, a weak Raiders team, and barely beat the Lions in Denver.
  19. They go on strike. No wrestlers = no TV shows, or worse, no PPV's. What's Vince going to do, grab a bunch of indy guys?
  20. It's 'fro-tacular! It's 'fro-mendous! It's 'fro-licious!
  21. Perfectly sane, my good man.
  22. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with pics of Kylie. As long as they're from the neck down.......
  23. Do you think either the Cubs or Red Sox would care about that? A WS win is a WS win, regardless of whom you beat. Personally, I think a Cubs/Sox series would get good ratings. Play up the historical aspect, and people would watch to see which team could finally pull it off. Why?
