  1. It's going to get a 20th Anniversary Special Edition, if the rumors I hear are true. Digitally Remastered and all that. I'm double dipping. Dames
  2. Banky is NOT Tiff. Dames
  3. How could you say that Tony Montana has no good qualities? He killed the assassin because he refused to assassinate a woman and children. He wanted to protect his sister at all costs. He took care of all of his servants as long as they were loyal. His "balls and his word" were the two things he wouldn't break for anybody. Dames
  4. See, I understand all of your arguments. I've always found the word cunt to be one of the most offensive things you can say to a woman, as do other people that I know. In my eyes, he called her a cunt first and foremost BECAUSE she's a woman. He could have called her anything else, but to me, calling a girl a cunt is the equivalent of calling me a spic. Judging from his other posts where he belittled women and treated them such as sex objects, I saw him use the word as a sexist slur and not as a mere insult. As for NHB, it IS a flaming folder. If you have a problem, you take it here or else half of the threads on TSM would turn into petty wars. I still believe that NHB is JUST a cool name for a flaming folder and that it doesn't mean "anything goes". Like I said before, the only things that I consider to be over the line in NHB are trolling, spamming (of course), racism, bigotry and sexism. Considering that most people don't resort to this, it has never been a problem. If you guys really want to rename this folder so as to not give off that impression...got any good suggestions? Dames
  5. No one called for it, at least not lately, to my knowledge. The guy was a severe, raging asshole and I don't think anyone will miss him, but I don't know anyone who specifically wanted him banned. Dames
  6. Some people here think that I've made some bad calls in the past few days and have questioned them. Even I admit that I've made some bad calls. Be honest with me...what do you think I've been doing wrong. No one will be punished or anything for speaking their mind. Dames
  7. No....because if THAT was the case, then I could ban Buffy Beast and Plush Cthuthu (Mario Logan) for their views on minorities. And Logan's views happy to be about Hispanic people. They upset me, yes, but he didn't go out of his way to try and force his views on anyone and/or insult anyone with them. Dames
  8. I agree with this. No Holds Barred is supposedly here to be where the regular rules don't really apply (hence the name), but bannings are stemming from statements made here. You can't have it both ways. Two things can correct this: A) Special guidelines just for NHB (a little more lenient that the ones for the rest of this place) or B) Renaming the folder, since obviously the name doesn't work if not everything goes. I've stated in the past that "No Holds Barred" is just a clever name and it is not ANYTHING goes, because people has abused that. In the rules, it clearly states that Tasteless comments are subject to a ban via mods discretion, regardless of the forum. The first rule also states that blatant racism, bigotry and sexism aren't allowed on the board, period. No trolling or spamming either, so anything else is allowable in NHB. Dames
  9. And NO ONE is Untouchable. If someone "established" IDRM (He's on right now, so he's the first one to come into my head) said something that was definitely ban worthy, then he would be. The way I see things, if you've been here long enough, you know what flies and what doesn't, so you have no excuse. Dames
  10. Rant, if that were the case, then the Current Events forum would be a wasteland of the banned. I do feel, however, that racism and bigoted views shouldn't be expressed at all. Someone saying "I hate niggers" or "I hate faggots" deserve to be banned, IMO. In almost every single one of his posts, he practically stated "I hate women" and was warned in the past when he viciously insulted a woman just because she WAS a woman. I saw this as another example of this and thats why he was banned. Dames
  11. Ok...for the record, rule #1 states that BLATANT Racism, Bigotry and Sexism are grounds for a banning. This is NOT the first time that he's done this and if you read the majority of the posts that he made in the Love, Sex & Dating folder, you would see that the guy is a clear misogynist. He refers to women as bitches and hos and looks at them as nothing more than sex objects. Even if it was a gimmick, it was a gimmick that I saw as ban worthy, especially since he had been warned about a month back by me for the same thing. What he said to Tiff wasn't ban worthy by itself, but I saw it as the straw that broke the camels back. Dames
  12. I'll see what I can do. Dames
  13. Mr. Eyebrow... I refuse to make the same mistake twice. Based on all of the posts you've made in the LSD folder, as well as the posts you've made here...specifically calling Tiffany Malibu a cunt, it seems that you're blatantly showing sexist qualities. Have fun on the outside looking in. Dames
  14. How is Boba Fett a tweener? Wasn't he a complete heel all the way, albeit a cool one? Dames
  15. The man in my sig. Admit it... He's a bad guy, but you're rooting for him at the end of the movie. You don't WANT him to die and you marvel at his one man badassedness with his little friend. Dames

    Sosa gets busted

No, he didn't say they were for Derbies, he said batting practice. There's no harm in wanting to give the fans a show. Dames
  17. I remember the show! Didn't it end on a cliffhanger with a nuclear warhead being launched...and then it never came back on the air? Dames

There's already a topic on this. Dames
  19. Vern, upon a second good look, it looks fine. Resizing doesn't mean changing your resolution, Dawn. It means actually making your pic smaller, which can be done in any image editing programs, even Paint, i believe. Dames
  20. I want Austin/Hogan at WM XX. Dames
  21. yes
  22. Stone Cold pursuing his medical options by Phil Speer June 4, 2003 Stone Cold Steve Austin says he isn’t really trying to come back to the ring, but he’d like to improve his long-term health prospects, if possible. Austin says he’s not really in pain, but he’s experiencing nerve problems that are “too extensive to talk about.” With that in mind, Austin is planning to make an appointment with Dr. Hae-Dong Jho of Pittsburgh. “I’ve seen what he’s done for a couple of other guys, with Kurt (Angle) and ‘Brooklyn Brawler’ Steve Lombardi, and they had good results,” Austin said. “They’re neck problems are altogether different than mine. But I’m still having problems with the reflexes in my legs, among other things. If I go to the guy and talk to him, it’s not going to cost me a thing. I can go in there and get a great second opinion out of it. Am I saying I’ll go under the knife again? No, not yet. But I’m going to go in there and see what the guy has to say – let him do a neurological exam on me, and see what the hell he thinks about all my problems. Maybe he can alleviate some of them and lessen some of them. Then I’d be open to considering – considering -- going under the knife again. “Does that mean I’ll get in the ring? Not by any stretch. But if the guy can help me out a little bit, I’d be a fool not to go up there and at least take the time to hear what the guy says to me.” Austin still says that he’s “pretty much done with the ring,” although he hasn’t ruled out a comeback for one more match. “If I could get away with it and the circumstances are right, and everything was in order, would I try one more match? Yeah,” he said. “But then again, on the other side, I’ve got to be Steve Williams. I’ve got to make the smart decision and look out for myself long term, my quality of life as I get older and older.” - WWE.com
  23. Just curious, Eyebrow, did you ever read my review of the 1st ROH show? Its in the Archives. Dames
  24. I found Family Guy to be a hell of a lot funnier than the Simpsons. Yes, sue me. Dames
  25. I agree with you there. The first season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer was just NOT good to me at all, but since it was given a second chance, it was able to flourish into the show that it did. Smallville is a good example, but I am really getting annoyed by their cliffhanger season finales. This seasons wasn't NEARLY as bad as the "to be continued" at the end of Season 1, which will annoy me to my wits end when I get it on DVD. The second episode of Season 2 could have easily been the season premiere and they should have just made Smallville's Season 1 finale a two parter shown IN Season 1. Dames
