What I've gathered to this point is that this is a "favorite movie" tournament not a "greatest ever" tournament.

You think waiting until January is bad. Once this season of The Shield is over we'll probably have to wait until March for the next one just like last time.

Except it all probably went over the heads of most fans. I had no idea it was the same girl.

And once you get past the special effects and great fight scenes, ROTK is all about elves and other such fantasy crap that got you beaten up in high school for talking about. See what happens when you generalize? I gave Pulp Fiction the nod because Tarantino's a great writer of dialogue, and a decent director. Jackson is one of my favorites, don't get me wrong, but I can't rate LOTR as high as I would other Jackson films (Dead Alive, Bad Taste, and The Frighteners especially) because it's an adaptation of works that have been around for nearly 80 years. No because ROTK is still a great storyline. Pulp Fiction seemed cool to me in High School when it was all fun and different, but looking back on it it's nonsense. The dialogue isn't as funny as it seemed back then and honestly the shock value has just worn off.

Even though RAW is doing good now, I'll definitely watch 24 over RAW. Besides do you think RAW will still be good by January?

Wait....I know she's the shelter lady from Angel Season 2, but I didn't know she was the girl from the Buffy episode "Anne"??

So what's her uniqueness? The fact that her voice sounds like a mockery of a good singer. She's trying waaaay too hard to put soul in her voice and it just comes off like she's got a bad cold instead.

I personally cannot understand why people are picking Pulp Fiction over ROTK. To me Pulp Fiction is highly overrated. Once you look past the whole "it's shown out of order" thing it's just shock moments and crude humor.

The Rocky (1) fight was better because it showed how determined Rocky was to survive the fifteen rounds. IIRC, he wasn't looking to win, but to last the 15 rounds. Yeah I like the Rocky I storyline better, but the Rocky II fight had the cool ending.

It does kind of sound like "License to Drive" EDIT: Nevermind....License to Drive was a Corey and Corey movie and it had a Cadillac not a Ferrari.

I don't know. I thought Rocky II dragged a lot during the stuff with Adrian in the hospital. It became kind of boring. However, I liked the fight in Rocky II better than the first one.

Frankly I don't like any of the finalists. This will be the Tough Enough 2 of American Idol. The winner will be sub-par while the better singers got the shaft.

It's nothing to do with her style, she just sounds awful. Diana might shout some of the time, but at least she isn't fucking screeching in every song. You're right it isn't about style. She just flat out sounds bad. It's like she's trying to sound corny when she sings. It's nasal and cartoonish. It's cheesy.

If you noticed, when they pulled back from Clark in the last shot, it looked like that sharp "S" in the symbol that Superman used when he turned into Electroman. Gotta wonder if they'll do that next season. As long as he doesn't have the gay suit.

How do we know that Angel signing away the Shanshu wasn't the selfless act that caused it to come true? Like a test or something.

Is Papacita doing the graphics for Title Matches for this PPV? If so I have some pics to use for Rick since it is a Title match and all. Papacita if you need help with graphics I wouldn't mind getting back into the graphics area.

That's shorter notice than a show like Angel needs. The storylines have gone on too long to wrap up in that short of notice.
