Since they're dropping like flies... Randy Myers is the Browns closer.

Yup. That pic had Bobby, Diego and Josh. So really it doesn't spoil anything. I guess all along we were making our own spoilers out of that pic which really meant nothing...

Yeah the Dixie Carter one popped out to me too. There's apparently an old actress by the same name but that's NOT her. She's a young woman I believe in her late 20s or early 30s.

Team Canada vs. AMW is excellent and should be eaten up by any wrestling fan especially those who only watch WWE and are starved for good tag team action. You didn't specify which match this was but if it was the one from Final Resolution, I gave it ****1/2 and it's one of the best non gimmick matches in TNA history. The second one I thought said Monty Brown vs. Jarrett which is one of the most memorable iMPACT! matches ever, but I honestly don't remember this one too well. With the clash of styles and iMPACT! time limits I can't see it being too good. I really liked the 20 man battle royal. One of the few saving graces of an otherwise lacluster Victory Road PPV. Hector Garza is great in this. Lots of fun guest appearences like LA Park and Spanky. I had it ***1/2 Yeah, those Comcast on Demand freebies are great. They used to have new ones from the old Weekly PPVs which was great so you could catch the biggest matches again in high quality for free. Hopefully Comcast gets on the ball and adds WWE 24/7 though.

I must sound wise beyond my years or something...

Ok, so the last few years I've been a regular treadmiller which has been my exercize of choice to keep in decent active shape. But I decided, having access to a full range of equipment at school, that starting strength training would be a good idea too for a number of reasons, even though I had never done it before (probably a little late on the curve). Attempting to go in to the gym myself wasn't so sucessful, mostly because I didn't know the proper way to do anything and the potential for embarassment just made me feel anxious about it. So after talking with some people, a personal trainer to get me started was suggested, I thought it was a good idea since the school provided the service (for a fee). So I put my money down (you had to up front) and signed up and prepared to be contacted within a week. Nothing. So I call the office and leave a message. 2nd week goes by, I go down to the center personally and am told to contact the coach in charge of assigning the trainers. Call him up, he apologizes and says the guy he has me assigned to is a good guy, he doesn't know why he hasn't gotten back to me but he'll let him know to. Ok, great. Well after almost 3 weeks I'm getting suitably annoyed and am prepared to ask for a refund if I don't hear back by the end of the week. Sure enough I recieve a message this afternoon, a girl from the fitness center, ok thank god. As I await some information on who to contact I hear this little female voice say I'll be your trainer and to contact her to work out hours. This is not what I expected. I just thought the way it works is you get assigned someone of the same sex, legistically that would seem to make sense. Not that she probably isn't well qualified, but just from a comfort level I didn't feel good about it. Someone who is already self conscious about looking stupid in front of people is going to learn weight training from a girl? I want to learn how to, home much, how often, that type of thing. Now talking it over with some friends (never mind that they offered to work out with me and help me, which if I would have known, I would have just skipped this stupid process and gone with them, but like I said money is down) they actually thought I shouldn't worry about it, and that the techniques are the same regardless of guy or girl and no one will care. I've waited this long to hear back from someone anyway. So I present to you, the jury of cynical all knowing smart marks (god help me), what would you do? I'm debating whether I should call the coach up and explain my akward feeling (what happened to that guy he was assigning me?) and see if I can get a male trainer , or do you think I should call this girl back and give her a chance? My pride is in your hands.

I've read about this in the Observer for a while now. I guess it's debuting on PAX this Sunday. It should be interesting to check out but amateur wrestling is just so boring to me. They can spice it up with flashy entrances and graphics but the product is what it is. Yeah, I'd say this goes either in Micelaneous promotions (it's kind of like MMA) or Sports...

Thanks for the advice, guys. Your words pretty much mirrored those of my friends who I asked, and all suggested I'd be more comfortable with a girl anyway. I met her today for a physical assesment, and did just test runs and measurements, and I was actually pretty suprised myself how much I could actually lift, especially with a leg press. My workout sessions won't start until 2 weeks from now, because Spring Break is next week and we decided it would be better to start after rather then having a week in between. Anyway, I was more comfortable then I thought and looking forward to starting...

I can't even keep track of who coaches which team anymore. It's ridiculous, it's a rarity now a days to have the same coach on a team for more then 2 seasons...

Will it be presented by Coliseum Home Video and hosted by Todd Pentingail?!

Interesting video posted on WWE.com of Tyson Tomko recieving stitches. You get to watch the whole procedure. What makes it more fun, though is that about half way through you can hear Batista and Snitsky loudly start going through the spots of their match. ("Shit, 'Tist, it'll look like your hitting me in the face, and I'm bumping!", God bless Snitsky.) http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/raw/ Lower right hand corner under "WWE.com Exclusive".

Don't worry about it. Rewatch the Smackdown match with Angle if you can. Like I explained, yes, RAW was about the novelty pop, but it was on Smackdown where Jannety got a PPV quality match out of Angle for the best Smackdown match in a long time. His timing, comebacks, selling, kickouts everything had that aura of a wrestler that "gets" how to work and shows he'll be a valuable member of the roster as a veteran who can mentor and teach the young wrestlers at best and at least get some good matches out of them at the worst. Even beyond all that, the man turned his life around and has kept in tremendous shape, and for that deserves the reward of a WWE job...

At risk of turning this thread into my own "Iron Maiden Ozzfest news thread..." That kind of sucks. I was ok with the limiting to songs from the first 4 albums because they have the theme planned and that's their most classic material, but how can they even fit in all of those hits in just an hour? And they're a headliner? I would have figured around 2 hours each for Maiden and Sabbath. Does this mean like 30 minutes for Anthrax, Shadow's Fall and BLS? Still excited to see them because some Maiden live is better then none, but anyone familiar know if such short sets are the norm at Ozzfest?

You're a fucking idiot. You know goddamn well what I mean. No, I don't. He doesnt' deserve a contract because he hasn't won any high profile matches is what you said. You're obviously missing the point entirely...

Spoiler: WRESTLING IS FAKE!!!!!!! You're not actually counting wins and losses are you!?! He's gotten into excellent shape, and proved he can work circles around most of the untalented lugheads in the WWE midcard. The match with Angle was PPV quality, Marty hit the right notes in his comebacks, kickouts, even the way he delayed tapping out was excellent. He still "gets it". No one said they're going to build him for some huge push or something. He's just getting a steady job and money as a reward for his years of work and the way he's rebounded his life. He'll likely be used to put over some guys anyway...

Awesome news. Well deserved. The tag match on RAW was fun for nostalgia reasons and showed he could keep up but that match with Angle on Smackdown put him over the top. First **** match on Smackdown in a long time. I was marking out for every false finish, it was great. Glad to see Marty has turned his life around and gotten a WWE contract again...

Two walks actually, although with no home runs allowed. Those are very good marks, and it IS possible that I am wrong, and that Cabrera will become a very good pitcher. Eric Bedard's spring training line also looks encouraging. 12 Ks and 3 BBs in 15 IP. I note that Tony Saunders got battered for two runs on three hits in his appearance. I still hope he can manage a comeback. Saunders has already been assigned to the minor league camp. Cabrera, Bedard, Chen and Dubose have had amazing springs. Out of the final 2, one will get the #5 spot and one will make the team in the bullpen most likely...

It's hard to take chants of "Drop The Title" and that awesome chant of "Take you coat, your hat and LEAVE" as anything but "go away" heat. Look, I love TNA too and have defended Jarrett many times in the past and am I a fan (just look at my screenname) but he is killing the promotion with his death grip on the title. I'm thankful to Jarrett for providing us with an alternate product and I know he believes in it and has put a lot of work into it and will continue to, but he needs to at least take a few months out of the spotlight to refresh his chararcter and try some new main events. The ironic thing is, the Observer reported that Jarrett and Dirty Dutch wanted to give Monty Brown the title at Final Resolution, and that he was their big product, but before that show, Dusty got the book, for some reason didn't see the same potential in Brown and changed the decision, so Jarrett kept the title. It's real tough when even when he wants to drop the title to the people's choice, someone else like Dusty overrides it...
-
Bryan Alvarez had a very interesting theory on why he believes Jarrett will never drop the title. Because... -If TNA fails, Jarrett, as NWA champion, can use that as leverage to get bookings in places like Japan. -If TNA suceeds (say, gets a primetime spot), he wants to be the certerpiece...

Never had both arms, but yeah, I cut the circulation to one of my arms almost every night, probably because I tend to sleep with one of my arms under my pillow for some reason. It's numb at first but then the blood rushes back and it's fine...
