Oh please. Get real, he's a sucess, a movie star now. You should be happy he even continues to stop by twice a year to take bumps that could potentially ruin his career. That's a selfish view, be happy for his sucess into the mainstream. Besides, even if his next movie bombs he's made so much already off of this one that he'll never have to do anything ever again to make money.

Wait, Randy Orton is the leader in a stable with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar?
-
WCW's Magnificent 7 were: -Scott Steiner -Jeff Jarrett -Ric Flair -Lex Luger -Buff Bagwell -Road Warrior Animal -Mike Sanders (I think, Im not sure about this one...it could have been Rick Steiner the more I think about it) Sure about 6 of 'em, any WCW 01 buffs want to confirm?

That's not usually my reaction, no. It ISN'T!?

This CAN'T be the same Where's Waldo that I'm thinking of. Is there some kind of missing Where's Waldo book where Waldo is sick of being lost and kills the other people in the picture? Do they think it's secretly telling kids to go get lost from their parents in huge groups of people in weird locations, like haunted houses? Is there ANY explenation on their website? Um, yeah there is and I think it was even mentioned in the thread already. There's a topless woman drawn into the crowd at the beach.

A little off topic, but I was watching the Shawn Michaels DVD, and when I watched back then, I obviously missed all the insider jabs, like at the 97 Slammy awards where the iron man match is announced as match of the year, and Shawn and Bret come up together to accept, JR goes "well this should be very interesting". And Shawn says to Bret: "Sorry, but...I won that match!" and then prances away. Bret's response: "That's ok, let's see what the result is in a rematch, that is if Shawn gets around the finding his smile." The looks they were giving each other were just brutal too. It's fun to go back and watch this stuff when you know the context.

Wrestling Observer does a hall of fame too every year. Votes from wrestlers, past hall of famers and wrestling journalists vote and I think you need like 60% to get in, and 10% to stay on the ballot. Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit were inducted this year.

I have no idea what kids in the south/midwest read, because I remember going to a bookstore with a display featuring "books banned in parts of the country" and I had read like all of them in middle school/high school. Ridiculous. Oh, and this can't be blamed on one side of the spectrum. It's both the uptight religious nuts on the right and over-sensitive PC nuts on the left that meet right in the middle on issue like this and share the blame.
-
Hey don't blame the direction on Bischoff, Austin writes half the show too. They should share the blame.

At least it's some new faces on top. Switch Sean O'haire to RAW to join them, and you've practically got the Natural Born Thrillers again.

Again he didn't get beat by Kane. Shane beat himself. He went out in a blaze of bravery and glory (and stupidity).
-
But Kane never actually beat him! He was so brave and mighty that he climbed high into the heavens for a death defying display (or maybe it was a tasteful tribute to Owen Hart, who knows), but alas the monster moved. If only Shane hadn't been so brave and fearless!

Honestly, I think that as long as there isn't a difference between east coast and west coast viewings, as soon as the first airing is over, conversation is fair game. I don't plan on watching the show for three months. Should we all wait for me to get around to it before discussing Unforgiven? Bingo. If I taped Smackdown and saw thread titles that gave away results from a show that already aired do I have an argument to complain? (never mind the constant inadvertent spoilers for the show from Tuesday to Thursday).

You answered you own question earlier. Stephanie is the head writer, it's much easier to write herself into the shows. Plus soon to be hubby HHH is basically in a struggle for heir to the throne. Also mentioned was that Shane realizes the way he keeps his "legend" is huge bumps and giant slaying. He's smart enough to know that gets old if not done with breaks in between.

Ok, let's start, why is it a spoiler?

I don't think I overrated anything. My top match was ***1/4. -

I'm expiriencing no dissonance. I never said it was a good show. I did like much of it though. My main problem was not the quality of the show but your elitist critisism of those who didn't mind ordering it. I'm a communications major by the way, thanks for the review -

Again, I don't feel like arguing anymore. I find it funny though that your interested in hearing opinions of the show, but not from those who actually ordered it. So in other words you just want to hear negative opinions. Ok. Oh, and I'm not "settling" for anything. I order NWA-TNA every week and buy tapes every so often too. I do have a job, not an allowance you know... -

What if we didn't think it was a pile of shit? Oh, it was? Why? Because you said so. Ok. -
Oh please, it's painfully obvious that like the rest of his family he loves the spotlight and goes through every step to make himself out to be a superhero, and show up all the "wrestlers" with his big gimmicked bumps. With the addition of his soon to be brother in law to the family don't think he isn't looking to leverage for all the power he can get, too.

Truck marked "WWE" pulls up. 2 men in white lab coats approach with a needle, then speed away...

Unforgiven Results and early match ratings...
Styles replied to Steviekick's topic in The WWE Folder
You, know what I'm tired. I don't think I have anything else to add. We both presented our arguments, let the people decide. In closing: I, a wrestling fan with nothing else to do tonight, chose to order a wrestling show that I expected to be average with my own money, got about what I expected, and even enjoyed some of it. I don't think that qualifies me as an idiot. Side conclusion: Since I actually viewed the show in question, my opinions of the show are more valid than from someone who did not view the show (you can make the same claim for movies, music, etc.) -

If there was any doubt that you were just spewing elitist nonsense attacks, there's no doubt now.
