Ok not that it has much to do with anything, but I read it at Blabbermouth and I thought of this place. It's another example of a celebrity running his ignorant mouth about shit he dosesn't understand (although in this case, I don't think he can be considered a celebrity, who's heard of "six feet under"?) SIX FEET UNDER Singer: GEORGE BUSH Gets Off On Killing People - Sep. 4, 2003 SIX FEET UNDER frontman Chris Barnes recently spoke to Pitriff.com about his views on the last U.S. Presidential election. "I didn't vote for [Al] Gore, I'll be the first one to say that," he said. "But I'll tell you what. If the Democrats were still in… Listen, what did we have to worry about when Clinton was in office? Him getting a blowjob? He gets off on sex. I'd rather have someone in office getting off on sex than getting off on killing people, and George Bush is known to do that. He's enjoyed killing people in Texas on death row, and now he's going and killing people over there, and no one really gives a fuck. Let's be realistic about it and not just take one point of view. I don't think there's too much difference between the Democrats and the Republicans, but what I do know is that election was fixed. It's obvious. It's so obvious that people are afraid to question." When asked why he thinks that people didn't challenge the election results, Barnes said, "[it was] because Republicans have such a stronghold in our country right now that it's a one party system, if you look at it. I don't think there's any way to foil that, really. Even when the Democrats are going after them heavy, it's still a situation where the Democrats are just a lighter version of the Republicans. I can handle that, but I can't handle fascism disguised as democracy. As we are right now, we are basically a monarchy. This is the son of a former president. That's basically royalty in office. You've got someone that is going out into foreign lands that are weaker than us and taking their natural resources. That's not what this country is built upon. This country is against that from the beginning. Our constitution was built against any kind of foreign government ruling from a distant shore and overtaxing us and taking our natural resources. So that's basically it. He's marred our country, and that's where I stand on it." What a scholar...

Based on current trends: World Title: HHH vs. Randy Orton Stone Cold vs. Jonathan Coathman Linda Mcmahon vs. Eric Bischoff Kane vs. Shane Mcmahon(inferno match) WWE Title: Kurt Angle vs. Vince Mcmahon Stephanie Mcmahon vs. Sable bikini contest (A-Train judge) Hulk Hogan vs. Undertaker Zack Gowen vs. Brock Lesnar Heat: Stevie Richards vs. Goldust In all honesty I wouldn't be suprised if a couple of those were actually on the card.
-
You're allowed to have an opinion, but it's quite disengenuous and hypocritical to arrogantly disrespect the country that has given you sucess and wealth, when others who love and give their all to their country are struggling to get by.
-
Yup. He was filling in this week because Scott Hudson had a "prior commitment". Anyway, just to clarify, the 1 cent PPV on In Demand will be a BEST OF show feature clips, full matches (the AMW/XXX cage match and Raven vs. Jarret are confirmed) plus some new footage. If you have Direct TV, you will not see this show (since Direct TV did not agree to the 1 cent stipulation). Instead Direct TV will show a preview of the upcoming TNA DVD "Best of World Title Matches" priced at the regular $9.95 price. Hope that clarifies.

For all the people who say I constantly bash Russo, if he is indeed the main writer for the past few shows, then he gets my huge props. I agree that the screwjob finishes are still plentiful but most of them are working. The feuds are hot, the matches are given time to develop. Whatever commitee or formula they've got they need to continue.
-
Probably. Check your on screen cable guide! TNA usually replays several times throughout the week on the various In Demand channels. Usually Wednesday night at 10 pm, Sunday at 2 pm and I think now theyre adding some more too.

I'll be butchered by the MMA fans if Im wrong, but isn't Terry Tate= Bob Sapp?

France: Hamas, Islamic Jihad not terror groups
Styles replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Current Events
Since I was ignored the first time and it fits in better now, anyway I've bumped my reply. -
You're just such an idiot. Everything is liberal spin with you...

France: Hamas, Islamic Jihad not terror groups
Styles replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Current Events
No suprise here. There is a huge muslim population in France and they hold a lot of influence over the government which leads to their generally anti-semetic views on things. -
I'd rather be at The Asylum is a great to the point one that TNA fans will get and you might even be able to get it by since it doesnt mention TNA. But expect any non pro-WWE sign to be confiscated.

TNA for the Ethical Treatment of Wrestling Fans TNA hereby calls for a halt to the cruel procedure of incinerating professional wrestlers on live television. If you have witnessed such an occurrence, be sure to watch TNA this Wednesday night to fully recover your sensibility as quickly as possible. Wednesday night on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.. Will Raven's destiny finally be fulfilled... or will AJ Styles path to superstardom continue uninterrupted? AJ STYLES vs RAVEN NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP This and much more.. Wednesday, August 27th on TNA Live on Pay-Per-View at 8pm ET/5pm PT! An exclusive message from X Division Champion MICHAEL SHANE with his exclusive comments on last week's Ultimate X Match, Shawn Michaels, and more! Dear TNA fans, Last Wednesday I was honored to be in the first ever Ultimate X match. It is a different feeling from any other match I have been in. It's not like this has been done before and you can study what other guys have done in the past. This was a first and in the wrestling business, there are not many firsts anymore. Chris Sabin, Frankie Kazarian and myself poured our hearts and souls into this match in which absolutely nothing was practiced. Frankie and Chris are true professionals and I can not wait to wrestle either one of them again. The most memorable moment for me in this match was the pure electricity that went through the Asylum when I got the belt. The place was rocking. I can only hope that there are more Ultimate X matches in the future. I've gotten a lot of questions about my background in this business. I started training in October of 1999 at the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy in San Antonio, TX. Training with Shawn I quickly found out that this business was not a joke and that I would have to work extra hard to even attempt to impress Shawn. He was tough as nails and he didn't let up one bit on me just because we were related. After training I wrestled for Shawn's local promotion the Texas Wrestling Alliance. After only 4 months in the business, I got the opportunity to learn more about the wrestling business over seas with FMW in Japan. After a month tour I returned to the states and got a try out with ECW. I must have caught the eye of someone there because I was asked to travel with ECW on a weekly basis. The only exception was that I had to drive halfway across the United States every week. I was driving from San Antonio to places like Philadelphia, New York, Florida, and Canada. This my friends is what you call paying your dues. After the demise of ECW I got a tryout with WCW in a match that aired on WCW Worldwide, but unfortunately for me WCW was sold to the WWE about a week later. I have worked for WWE on numerous occassions and recently I have been working tours with the Japan based promotion Zero-One Pro Wrestling. This brings us to the present.. TNA. I am very happy to be working for TNA and after winning the X Division Title in the first ever Ultimate X match, all I can say is, the best is yet to come. This Wednesday, I'll go face to face with Jerry Lynn. Jerry is an extremely talented competitor and I cannot wait to get into the ring with him again. Jerry is one of those guys that brings out the best in everybody and I am looking forward to an incredible match with him. Jerry is a veteran in this business so if I am to walk out of the Asylum holding the X Division Title at the end of the night, I am going to have to really take things to the next level. I'll leave you with this - if you miss TNA this Wednesday, you're going to miss at least one helluva match - Michael Shane vs. Jerry Lynn - for the X Division Championship. Sincerely, Michael Shane -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday night on... A night of commercial-free WRESTLING for only $9.95! AJ STYLES VS RAVEN NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH AJ Styles puts his NWA World Heavyweight Title on the line against his toughest challenger to date... Raven. These two have met before, and Raven proved he could beat Styles in a #1 Contender Ladder Match earlier this year. This time Raven is going for the gold, and earned the title shot with his win in last week's Lucky 13 Gauntlet Match. THE AMERICAN DREAM DUSTY RHODES VS GLENN GILBERTI BULLROPE MATCH Nobody has competed in more Bullrope matches than The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, and he's in another one this week against Glenn Gilberti, who has been claiming to be the master of the Bullrope. Gilberti has been known to let his mouth get him in trouble before, and he's probably done it again this time! AMERICA'S MOST WANTED VS SIMON DIAMOND & JOHNNY SWINGER NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH After defeating AMW last week in a non-title match, Diamond & Swinger are going into this title match with the confidence that they can beat Harris & Storm. The feud between these two teams has gone on for several weeks and with the titles on the line this match should be another great one. MICHAEL SHANE VS JERRY LYNN X TITLE MATCH Michael Shane defends his newly won X Title against one of the men who put the X Division on the map last year, Jerry Lynn. Director of Authority Erik Watts has awarded Lynn the title shot despite the recent problems Lynn has had with Don Callis, and believes it's only fair that Lynn get a shot at the title he helped make so special. D-LO BROWN VS SONNY SIAKI Sonny Siaki tried (and failed) to bury D-LO Brown's career last week. This week, D-LO will be looking to shut Siaki up once and for all. SANDMAN VS ABYSS These two had quite an exchange during last week's Gauntlet match, and will be facing each other this time in a one on one matchup. 3 LIVE KREW VS SHANE DOUGLAS & THE NEW CHURCH (with James Mitchell) Douglas & The New Church have been on quite a rampage lately. 3 Live Krew has been impressive lately and definitely has the support of fans in the Asylum. This six man tag match looks to be an entertaining one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark your calendar... We can only hope HHH's groin is another surgery inducing 1 year recovery situation. That's the only thing that can stop him. What am I saying, then he'd just forfeight the belt to Randy Orton who'd go over everyone. Oh god, we're doomed forever...
-
For the record I have always liked Goldberg. I've hated WWE's USE OF HIM. Putting a wig on him, having him outsmarted and work long matches just ruined him. He finally shone like he did in WCW tonight. I just hope they can recover from the loss.
-
Loved the Coach turn. He should become a heel manager, seriously. Not PPV of the year, Vengeance was better but it's competing with Wrestlemania for second.
-
No problem with the Brock/Angle finish. I was just waiting for the Vince run in and DQ but loved Brock reaching for all 4 ropes and getting pulled back in and finally forced to tap. It will just make him more pissed off and insane in his chase. Plus Kurt got himself over big time.
-
My thoughts exactly. Goldberg looked as good as he has in WWE and it was like a throwback to WCW in 1998. That spear where he just FORCED Jericho through the glass was brutal. And I thought he broke Orton in half with the jackhammer. The most important thing is though, the FANS, FINALLY getting behind Goldberg chanting his name louder and louder for each slaughter, only to be outsmarted by a cowarding and crippled HHH. It just deflated everything. I could have sworn HHH would drop the belt to him, Goldberg would have a 1 month reign to give HHH time to recover and then HHH would get his win back 1 on 1 at Unforgiven. I have no idea where they're going now. They had the best chance they ever had to run with Goldberg and make him a winning investment and blew it. Even if the finish was planned, Vince should have called for an audible once he heard the fan reaction so in favor of Goldberg.

1. No Vince Mcmahon 2. No Stephanie Mcmahon 3. No Shane Mcmahon 4. No Linda Mcmahon 5. In fact, there are no Mcmahons at all! Thank YOU for your time.

Holy crap, its a Hulk Rules for a new generation. I guess it isn't SO bad, but its funny since it Savage....

Who says the internet is all negative? "Unf***ingbelievable sums things up nicely, and this will justify the purchase of the replay right off the bat." (Scott Keith, www.411mania.com) "You can't ask for much more from a pay-per-view than what TNA delivered this week. The Ultimate X match exceeded the hype and is the most innovative in-ring exhibition since the ladder match was born." (Jason Powell, www.pwtorch.com) "The effort by the participants was really there, going hand in hand with the hot crowd. After Monday, this was just a welcome change." (Dave Meltzer, www.wrestlingobserver.com) "I look forward to TNA building off this show to continue a streak of outstanding wrestling shows." (David Miller, www.1stsourcewrestling.net) "The best two hours of wrestling on television this week. Hands down." (Buck Woodward, www.1wrestling.com) "TNA didn't resort to cruddy rape or comic book segments. It stuck to Booking 101 this week and let the talents of the wrestlers carry it from there. Good stuff." (Wade Keller, www.pwtorch.com) "…now is the time to give them a try. I'll be shocked if you are disappointed. And if you do order this show, pop a tape in and record it because you'll want to have the first Ultimate X match in your collection." (Jason Powell, www.pwtorch.com) "Damn did Gigli suck." (Jeremy Borash, www.NWATNA.com) OK, so maybe I am the only negative one… I think it goes without question that innovations in this business seem to be very rare these days. Hats off to the TNA creative team for inventing what I think is the most inventive match format of this decade so far. The Ultimate X was fun, innovative, and most of all… different. The one question I was getting from everyone was who just exactly thought of this concept? Well, most ideas are a team effort, and this one fits in this category, as everyone involved in the creative process all claimed it to be a culmination of ideas. Of course, the real heroes were the participants in the match. All three worked very hard knowing how important of a match this was for our company. They delivered a spectacular performance. Some fans in attendance told me after the show they felt the belt dropping actually added to the drama of the match. While I would of wished it would have stayed up there, by no means did it ruin any part of the match for me. Immediately following the match, Michael Shane delivered the promo of his young career backstage that will air this weekend on Xplosion, and may find its way onto the PPV this Wednesday night. If you haven't seen Xplosion, get yourself a tape, as we now meet the talent moments after they come back through the curtain to get their immediate thoughts on what just happened. It really is good television and is well worth checking out. On Xplosion this weekend, you will see Glenn Gilberti, Abyss, and Mad Mikey in action. Check nwatna.com to see if Xplosion airs in your area. Hats off to Erik Watts for a solid performance last Wednesday night. Erik really has shown dedication to his in-ring abilities, and it is beginning to really show. Virtually no one knew it was AJ Styles and Vince Russo roaming the asylum dressed as Freddy and Jason during the show, including Don West and Mike Tenay. Several times during the night AJ would walk by and poked Mike Tenay with his plastic knife. They entered the arena and took their seats at ringside with the rest of the fans before the show, and with the characters that attend our live events, fit in quite nicely to the circus atmosphere at the asylum. A comical moment occurred after the show as well involving referee Rudy Charles. While overhearing the karaoke stylings of Eddy G's rendition of "Hit me with your best shot," at Hurricane's nightclub, a female friend commented that she enjoyed Pat Benetar's music, to which Rudy responded with…"Yeah, he's great." While I will admit Benetar looked a bit masculine during the "Love is a Battlefeild" video, never once have I confused her for a man. Within five minutes, word of Rudy's statement spread to the entire bar. In the interest of fairness, I have allowed Rudy Charles to issue this following statement in his defense: Before my name is flung through the mud regarding this whole Pat Benatar controversy, I would like to tell you fans and Mr. Borash my side of the story Eddie G was on stage tantalizing the crowd with his rendition of a Pat Benatar song. Jeremy and I were talking to one of the lovely ladies at the establishment, when he mentioned that he was enjoying Eddie G's gift of song and his rendition of the Benatar classic. She replied, "Oh, I love Pat Benatar." Not recognizing her name right away, I sarcastically commented, "Yeah, he's great." Of course, Borash proceeded to tell everyone who would listen and make fun of me when it was simply a misunderstanding. You see, my cousin's name is Pat, and by default, my brain was thinking of a Pat in the masculine sense. Therefore, Jeremy, it is not my fault. Rudy Charles TNA Senior Official Well, there you have it. I would like to state for the record that the only people I told were Glenn Gilberti, Konnan, Legend, Chris Daniels, and the DJ, who then announced it to the rest of the bar. Starting September 3rd, TNA will go from having 3 replays a week on iN DEMAND, to over 25 replays a week. We will be in Buffalo this Sunday for the Ballpark Brawl. You will see Raven, AJ Styles, Kid Kash, Jeff Jarrett and more this Sunday in Buffalo, NY! Tickets are still available. Teddy Hart will debut for TNA on the September 3rd broadcast. Hart marks the start of the third generation of Harts in the wrestling business. Did you catch the bagpipe music and the "He's coming" message this past Wednesday night? This could get interesting. Years ago there was controversy over Nova getting left off of the PWI Top 500. This year they've done it again, as Cheex was no where to be found. A win on PPV apparently does not constitute placement on this list. That is a shame. A damn shame and a total injustice. We've made a conscious effort to get the lineup matches announced well ahead of our Wednesday program to give fans something to look forward to, and this week we've have several matches to confirm for this Wednesday: AJ STYLES vs. RAVEN (NWA World Championship match) GLENN GILBERTI vs. DUSTY RHODES (Bullrope match) AMW vs. SIMON & SWINGER (NWA World Tag Team Championship match) MICHAEL SHANE vs. JERRY LYNN (X-Division Title match) D-LO BROWN vs. SONNY SIAKI SANDMAN vs. ABYSS 3 LIVE KREW vs. SHANE DOUGLAS & THE NEW CHURCH Some potential show stealers in the mix this Wednesday night! If you missed this past Wednesday's critically acclaimed show, don't miss your opportunity to catch the replay! Times are all now posted on NWATNA.com. Get your VCR's ready, because on September 10th, TNA will be airing two very different can't miss shows… On DirecTV, you will get to see a preview of our upcoming DVD release called "THE BEST OF TNA's WORLD TITLE MATCHES." This show is loaded with some of the best matches in TNA history. It really turned out to be a great show. The one cent show offered to iN DEMAND customers on September 10th will be an absolute can't miss. There will be plenty of fresh content, as well as everything from the infamous AMW vs TRIPLE X cage match to the JARRETT vs. RAVEN battle. More on both of these shows next week. That is all for this week. Have a great weekend and we will see you back this Wednesday night on Pay Per View! Jeremy Borash [email protected]

Well, between their Wrestlemania and Vengeance matches they've yet to disappoint us yet...
-
I can't believe I'm actually starting a discussion with you knowing it will end with me being ripped to shreds, especially over semantics, but nothing is being "enforced" it's a statue, it's a symbol. Nothing more.
-
Just to throw in my 2 cents: "I don't really give a damn". Seriously though, if this statue means so much to the majority of people there, then just let it stay. You can't honestly say anyone is being hurt by it. In this case especially it's a few loudmouth atheists and the leeching ACLU trying to start shit in a community that dares share different views then them. Im not a religious person at all, but I have no problem with the statue.

Elimination Chamber: Goldberg over HHH. HHH can get his 1 on 1 win back next month. About 30 minutes and *** Dudleys vs. La Resistance: La Resistance win setting up flag match for Unforgiven. About 10 minutes and ** Kane vs. RVD: RVD wins with help from Super Shane Mcmahon (to build for Shane vs. Kane) after taking a beating the whole match. About 12 minutes **1/2 Bischoff vs. Shane: Shane wins. I dont know what they'll do here. About 5 minutes 1/4* Brock vs. Angle: Angle wins via DQ (since it will probably be in the middle of the card anyway), and goes nuts on Angle. About 20 minutes ****1/4 US Title: Eddy over Tajiri in a solid match. Too early to take the belt off of Eddy. About 15 minutes ***1/2 Underertaker vs. A-Train. Taker after his typical sell for big fat heel, make comeback and win match. About 10 minutes *.
