  1. I just noticed C-Bacon's test. You are a Social Conservative (31% permissive) and an... Economic Conservative (65% permissive) You are best described as a: Republican You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness. loc: (-69, 56) modscore: (39, 19) I'm literally placed between Bush and Regan. Neat!
  2. That sounds badass. Way more interesting then those weak PC "winter holiday" plays most schools put on these days...
  3. Bumped.
  4. Career Retrospective from PWIndsider:
  5. A few comments from the PWTorch VIP forum: Wade Keller: Johnny Fairplay: Derek Burgan:
  6. Some new info from PWTorch:
  7. I'm sure Shane Douglas will have some sort of a tribute for his friend and former tag partner at the Hardcore Homecoming show. Even after his leg injury he was still scheduled to be there to manage from his wheel chair...
  8. Exactly. If there's nothing added to the show we know it's because the tape was already sent out. I'm almost positive if they can edit it in time something like I proposed will be on there. For Curt Hennig they did this really classy deal with his boots and like a framed picture of him were in the ring while the bell sounded 10 times...
  9. Were Chris and Tammy ever married? They've been together for a long time...
  10. I'd imagine he'd at least get the graphic at the beginning of RAW since he was a former employee but you never know with Vince. As for iMPACT! it's really tough since he's a featured part of the show, and as we now know, he helps the Naturals beat AMW for the tag titles in the main event. If the tape is already sent out, then there's really nothing they can do and will just have to address it next week. If they can still add something, if I were TNA I'd have Mike Tenay tape an announcement to air at the beginning of the show announcing Candido's death expressing TNA's deep sadness and explain that iMPACT! was taped several days before he died, and that that it features Candido's final moments in a wrestling ring and thus iMPACT! is dedicated to him and as fans watch they should celebrate his life and career. Then at the end of iMPACT! put up a graphic.
  11. It is, the idea is to place your opinion of it (i.e. some people might not agree it should be legal).
  12. Sonny Siaki threw a sloppy dropkick at him and as he was falling, Siaki's body fell on top of Candido's leg which was bent back in an akward position. The camera didn't pick it up live, but they showed a replay of it later and it was reminicent of Sid...
  13. OK, they've added the graphic that is now my sig and posted this:
  14. And TNAwrestling.com has posted this brief blurb with the headline of "UPDATE"
  15. Nothing new (except he's back at 33 in this one) but here's PWTorch's blurb:
  16. Check it out and pay your last respects to Chris Candito...
  17. PWInsider's blurb. Interesting to note they have him at 35.... EDIT: I also realise it gives away an iMPACT! spoiler...not that that matters at all right now...
  18. And...it's OFFICIAL.
  19. I went to TNA's website and this is still up.... 04.27.05 | CANDIDO INJURY UPDATE INJURY UPDATE ON CHRIS CANDIDO Following his ankle injury at Lockdown, Chris Candido underwent successful surgery on Monday evening in Orlando, Florida. The procedure to repair Candido’s injury involved doctors inserting two steel plates and pins into his ankle. On Tuesday afternoon, Candido surprised many in TNA when he arrived at the arena to take part in the Impact TV tapings (see photo). Despite being confined to a wheelchair and having to use crutches to walk, Candido was ringside for matches involving The Naturals. On Wednesday morning, Candido flew back home to New Jersey and is expected to be in attendance at the May “Hard Justice” Pay-Per-View. Everyone at TNA wishes Candido a speedy recovery as we look forward to his in-ring return.
  20. No he didn't, please go to the TNA thread for more information.
  21. We're discussing it in the TNA folder.
  22. Yeah but this difference is they were in deteriorating health. Bulldog could barely walk and Hennig's last match in TNA was so sad to watch because he was obviously drugged out of his mind. Candido's situation is so awful because he had cleaned himself up, was in good shape, good spirits and keeping up with the younger TNA workers. He walked in, and earned himself a job with an excellent match and even after snapping his leg shows up to work and stays involved...
  23. Good lord, that is a quick infection. Just terrible, terrible news after cleaning himself up, making a comeback and even after the injury still coming to work with a spot and having his medical bills paid for and now this. Oh man, I just thought, Sonny Siaki must feel awful right now, as it was him who landed on Candido's leg akwardly. Just depressing all around...
  24. OK, all I'm saying is I hate it when idiots try to make it sound like Marx had this hippie utopian dream of everyone giving up property and living peacefully together before all the dictators ruined his vision when the actual Manifesto itself specifically talks about such violence and supression as being mandatory parts of the process...
