Backstage incident between Corina/Hart
King Cucaracha replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in General Wrestling
Does Harts ridiculous dependence on backflips and bad attitude make him a wrestler. The backflips and attitude have nothing to do with his wrestling during a match. Im right Harts attitude does not make him a PRO WRESTLER. It doesent matter what you can do in the ring. Its how you act. Pro or not pro. Teddy Hart my friend is not a pro. He's just some faggot that thinks he's the shit cause he was born in The Hart Family. Hart's attitude is no different from someone like Hogan, or HHH, or HBK, or Savage, or Flair, or Austin as far as 'un-proffesionalism' goes. And they did pretty well for themselves. If that last report is true, he's a kid who's got an attitude problem, but still respects the fans and the business...he just needs somone to talk him into a little sense. -
What's so great about Shawn/Taker - Bad Blood 97?
King Cucaracha replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Simple answer is it was the first HIAC Match ever. Just like the WMX Ladder Match gets higher star ratings than most people now think it should, the HIAC does too because of the historic value. I think the match had a good story, and the crowd reaction when they escaped the cell and then got on top was great. The thing that always bothered me was how quickly Shawn recovered from the table bump. Other than that, the match is enjoyable for what it is. But then again, I'm not expecting Ray to like the match because it's HIAC. Looks like you're watching the wrong match Ray, because that's what HIAC is. A gimmick match. And if you think Shawn's bumping in the match is bad, I hope you don't call yourself a Curt Hennig fan, because it's no worse than that. -
Crisis Meeting Scheduled for RAW
King Cucaracha replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
Hold up a sec. I only saw 30 minutes of Smackdown. Since when is Tazz a heel commentator? He wasn't heel during Rey/Akio, or the last 2 minutes of the mini Rumble. He sucked up to Brock more than usual sure, but I didn't notice he was playing heel. -
I take it that was the ECW jobber Bilvis Wesley? Didn't he have a mini-ECW-midcard-jobber fued with CHILLY WILLY?

Old episodes of Worldwide...basically, the show started off as old editions of WWF shows...may even have been WWWF to start, I remember seeing Buddy Rogers on one show. Anyway...after the Panda people got involved with the WWF issue, Vince wasn't prepared to blur out the WWF logos on every show. He may not even have been able to show them at all, I'm not sure. So he put WCW Worldwide in place...seeing as he owns all WCW footage. Anyway, for those interested...we're in mid-91, just after the hideous Great American Bash. Luger is champion. Simmons and Windham both want the belt. The World's Strongest Man is Bill Kazmier, who sucks. The Freebirds rule everything. And we've just had the debuts of the almighty WCW Patriots... ...AND OZ!!! So, yeah...basically, it's legal because Vince owns WCW footage, and it's purpose is probably to get more money from Sky...and to honor their contract I guess.

80) Different colors of mist, used of course only by Japanese wrestlers, do different amounts of damage. Examples being that black is more deadly than green. Red is kind of middle of the road.

Daredevil vs. David Cross Here's hoping for a showing... Jimmy “the Demon” Liston vs. “Hollywood” Spike Jenkins Quite tough. When Spike shows though, he's very good, so I'll go with him. Landon “La Cucaracha” Maddix vs. Jacob Helmsley No prediction, good luck to Jacob though. Todd Royal vs. “the Black Angel” Aecas Well...thought go out to Aecas after what happened. Todd by default, but he should write a very good match.

Mid Atlantic is an NWA afilliate, encompasing the Carolinas...which of course meant this was an early home of 'NATURE BOY' RIC FLAIR

70) Wrestlers lose 'pints' of blood at a time, yet can still fight. 71) Referees don't actually think they'll get knocked down when a wrestler sets up a slingshot, whilst said ref is in the aimed-for corner. 72) When referees wake up just in time to count pinfalls, it's purely co-incidence. 73) It is possible to stop a third count short during a pinfall everytime, in the same position, JUST in time...even for the closest nearfalls. 74) Referees only check feet on ropes or shoulder on the mat when it affects a decision. 75) Using your opponent's finisher on them will 9 times out of 10 not be as effective as them using it on you.# EDIT: 76) Forgotten embarassing gimmicks or moments can only be brought up by comedic faces like The Rock, or when the recipient is in the bad books. 77) There really is no escape from Hell In A Cell. 78) All people of enthnic minorities or nationalities other than American always represent that nationality's sterotype. 78a) Note, for the WWE, this does not include the Irish Drunk.

Backstage incident between Corina/Hart
King Cucaracha replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in General Wrestling
If Corino isn't going to be proffesional, the blame shouldn't ALL be put on Hart. Teddy actually has a point...what's to stop Corino breaking his arm if they get booked in a match? It sure as hell wouldn't surprise me. Not 100% certain, but the reason was Hart pissed a LOT of people off during a ROH show. After that Scramble Cage Match, he decided to steal the Backseat Boyz's(who won the match) thunder, for whatever reason. After the match, he dove off the Cage onto one of the teams (The SAT I think), which they weren't prepared for. So Teddy was lucky not to cripple himself basically. The crowd obviously loved it all, so he kept doing backflips from the cage. Everyone backstage was mad though. Gabe wanted to resolve it, but Hart made the dumb move and refused to apologise. So he got thrown out, and ROH won't book him again. Corino was outspoken on the situation, as was CM Punk, and since then it's become petty. Punk calls Hart an 'anus' because of his real last name, and his fans act as if Punk is some sort of messiah. That sort of thing. -

Please shut up. Landon, you are so friggin' awesome. Well, I'll hold you to that. And, wrong arena? Really? Didn't it originally say the Flickenger, because I could have SWORN I saw Flickenger on it before

he (the gimmick, I guess) made his debut at ROYAL RUMBLE 1993 (link the event)

You don't know the half of it. I finished the last quarter of the match in 15 minutes just so I could get something in. Suprised, pleasantly, to win. Nice to see promo-age from Manson and Spike/Todd...a nice main event too. Team Todd on top=goodness. Pity about Daredevil/Frankie, but I guess that's not too much of a surprise. Decent enough, considering the nature of the card.

who made nearly everyone laugh, unintentionally of course, including ring annoucner JESSE VENTURA

SJL Wrath Card for Tuesday, January 13!
King Cucaracha replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Junior Leagues
TABLES!!! Woo. Should be good. Still shocked that I won my match against Alan...I may promo, if I do then Alan I'll bring up the eye thing. I used that as a rush finish and all, but it'd be good to keep that in mind for our match -
who's ECW entourage included Swinger, 'Mitch' the personal ring announcer, and of course DICK HERTZ

Aside from the size of its fanbase, star power, and production values, RoH has WWE smoked. Aside from three major factors, ROH does beat the WWE. It beats it on in ring ability...err...in-ring matches...and...there's CM Punk, he's kewl. The better fanbase will give WWE more money. The star power means more people will be interested when something actually goes right. And production values make the shows look better. They're all big factors. ROH is great and all, but without those three things they're nowhere NEAR the WWE unfortunately. Then again, according to 'Patrick', it seems the WWE is about to die after a 3.5 rating...so there's hope yet.

Angle's attempted Anglesault off the cage, in his cage match with CHRIS BENOIT, was a memorable Raw moment
