OK, watching the Sting/Cactus match from the Mick Foley DVD...and I'm damn sure that the referee for this match was Bill Alfonso...future manager of Sabu, Taz, and RVD over his career. Which led me to wonder...what other shows with possible big matches did Alfonso referee on before he became a manager in ECW?

Well, that's a good thing. Although, like with Mysterio, Psichosis masked could NEVER appear in a WWE show in Mexico unless they want him booed out of the building and such. Why is that? I didn't realize Mysterio or Psychosis were hated in Mexico. It's the whole mask thing. The tradition of the mask and such, you know.

...so, in theory, I could wear a mask after shaving my chest and back and I could pretend to be Mil Mascaras if I went down there? Or did I use a bad example of someone?

Eh, I was just thinking back to when Rock mentioned Juvi passingly on Raw one time when he was to I think Chris Jericho.

Too bad Juvi had too many personal problems and that Rock is always busy in Hollywood now. If Rock would have sold for him, I might have enjoyed a Rock/Juvi feud.

Either that or there's something about a second Psicosis that I read about (or at least I think I read about) in the TNA folder a while back. I think I read that there was a guy wearing Psicosis' mask in Mexico as well as the original Psicosis. Life has been a blur for me this past year though, so I could be mistaken.

So if Hogan was main eventing in 1980, what did he do until his return (was it 84?)? I am really uneducated on my old school wrestling. I believe that he filmed Rocky III, was kicked out of WWF for it and not showing the dates, then went to AWA...before Vince Jr. called him up to return to WWF and the rest is history. And several tours of Japan. Right, forgot about those. Don't know how I did...that's where the infamous worked-shoot KO of Inoki happened, IIRC.

I never did get why Bischoff thought that the guys like Mysterio, Juvi, and Psicosis would be more marketable without their masks. Masks = Kids buying masks = more revenue at least in that department.

I think the last time Smackdown main evented a dual brand PPV was Judgment Day '03, with Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show Stretcher match for the WWE Title. Let's see...after that they went to the one brand shows except for the big 4... Summerslam 03: Elimination Chamber Survivor Series 03: Goldberg vs. Triple H Royal Rumble 04 (not counting Rumble match): Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels WrestleMania XX: Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels Summerslam 04: Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton Survivor Series 04: Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho & Maven vs. Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky. ...yep. ...that's just sad. McMahon has abandoned the title that his family made in favor of a belt that was last represented by a company that went out of business.

They stopped showing Afterburn and Bottom Line here when the channel that used to show them (as well as ECW and USWA back in the day) turned into a bible thumping channel. I watch Experience because (and you can smack me for this if you must) I find Ivory funny on that show.
