Hey, I voted for you in the BPT.
-
Yay. I've already gone nuts in the 24/7 section.
-
There was some overlapping discussion in the Raw and Nitro threads and since quite often the discussion about these MNW episodes is which show we thought was better, that can be hard to do without discussing the other show. So, here we are, a combined MNW thread.
-
This caught my eye on WWE.com's schedule. Everything is "WWE Presents..." except for one show in November. "Buddy's Home Furnishings Presents Monday Night Raw".
-
There's no US tapings listed for next Monday or Tuesday but I don't recall where they're going to be. There's a "Supershow" taping on Sunday though so yeah, they must be heading somewhere.
-
I look forward to telling more people to not post spoilers in general threads and figuring out all these new commands. Good times!

John Cena having major neck problems
DrVenkman PhD replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
That thought crossed my mind but I don't believe that was the case. They probably wouldn't have advertised Cena for the Scramble or put him on Raw if they knew. -
Yes sir. Edit: Somehow I missed the "WHY" part of your question (I don't know why I though you'd ask if this was taped yesterday). I'm not sure if there was a special reason for this or if they finally begun the ECW/Raw taping schedule. At one point it was held off indefinitely outside of accommodating for foreign tours (such as the Middle East trip).

It was a good blow-off to the Monsoon / Heenan feud.

I was going to jokingly suggest he would only be out two months too. Looks like another Rumble win! -
Here is tonight's ECW thread. For those who wish to read the spoilers, they're here too - or you can just read the comments in CTDWAT From WWE.com: And spoilers, courtesy of F4Wonline.com
-
I agree with you 100% and am cleaning it up now.
-
Here's the deal guys, since this is now the second week this has happened: Don't talk about matches that are TV show spoilers in the CTDWAT thread.
-
Yeah, there's info at http://www.ctemploymentlawblog.com/ I believe. The write-up about this in today's F4W newsletter is pretty good.

I believe WrestleMania 25 takes place in 2009, dx1997. -

Yes goldengreek, WWE is going to work a serious neck injury so they can their #1 merchandise draw for kids - who they are seriously targeting again - can turn heel. Brilliant. -

I used to work with women who thought Cena was the hottest guy ever. The women in my section at Mania 23 were really into Cena too while all the guys cheered for Shawn. Why do you think only teenagers would be into him? That reminds me of a house show I went to in 2003 where these 13-14 years olds behind us kept yelling about how hot they thought Benoit was during the main event. That seemed so odd. -
From what I gather, some of these themes can cost $20,000+ a pop for the rights to be included on 24/7 or a DVD (and the $20,000 figure is actually based on 24/7 - I imagine DVD would be more due to a "per sale" royalty deal but I'm not an expert here). This is worth approximately zero buys. Anyone who buys a DVD strictly for the chance to hear 45 seconds worth of music that they could probably hear on the internet for free is about as smart as the guy who says "you know, I really wanted to get SummerSlam 88 on DVD, but I heard Don Muraco doesn't come out to 'Jesus Christ Superstar' so I'll watch my 3rd generation Coliseum video dub I bought from a tape trader instead".
-
Yeah, after Bret at the Rumble and Shawn at Mania, it was TWO title matches against Sid, SummerSlam against Mabel (and I just saw that match today, what an odd choice by Nash to bust out a plancha for that bout), then he technically defended his title against Bulldog and Yokozuna in September.

The Christmas themed episode they showed in December from 1992 was NOTHING but syndie squash matches, but I think they had given up by that point.
-
Is the "Diabetus" thing with Brimley a gimmick? He seems to have no problem pronouncing the word normally when he names the organization, so one does wonder if he's just playing it up.

I wonder if the catch Batista Bomb is what they are kayfabing the injury to be from or the actual cause. I actually assumed right away that was the move that did it, but on all the replays on Raw, it actually looked pretty safe / well protected from a head bump perspective. -
It is kind of a stupid poster.
-
Surprised it took 6 posts for this to get mentioned... this thread seemed tailor made for that point.
-
And why is it STILL being questioned as fake when the source - WWE - was given?
