  1. It's odd to watch the HOF show and not hear "POLISH POWER!" or the Russian anthem in the opening, but I like the updated changes. I assume some Coliseum Video, but where are the clips of Monsoon sitting in a big comfy leather chair talking about Putski from?
  2. When I re-watched it, I couldn't figure out why Venom was so smart and suddenly knew where Sandman was (and that he wasn't dead, like the symbiote should have thought). It was a lot worse than I remembered it.
  3. Today began Beth's "Summer Skin" profile on WWE.com. This made me happy.
  4. We had one at one point.
  5. "and i hate when they say is 100% scripted, i know that the storylines are, but i like to think matches and title history are real"
  6. Czech, bob, and Dandy have confirmed it. What more do you need?
  7. Anyone what the this Lance Cade blog fiasco is all about? I clicked on the link Meltz provided but it went nowhere.
  8. I was unaware Dusty Rhodes was doing commentary for Superstars in 1993.
  9. So is Tropic Thunder tracking to oust TDK next week?
  10. Why is God playa hatin this weekend?
  11. One of the annoying things about being a Canadian is they like to push their own wares first, so I don't know when (if ever) we'll get a Spike HD channel so TNA's jump to HD will mean nothing to me when it happens. They have 100 channels (700-799) allotted for HD spots and the only US cable station they have is A&E - and they INSIST on airing everything stretched out. Where's my CNN Headline News HD feed to watch Robin Meade on? Come now, Cogeco. I'm not sure what any of that had to do with WWE comments that don't warrant a thread, but hey, we were talking HD.
  12. With joke commentary from Foley and Kevin Kelly (not to be confused with Nailz), so it's good times.
  13. Meltzer was saying that match should have been on the Flair DVD instead of Spring Stampede 94, plus hey, it's a 90s WCWSN! I REALLY hope the other big one is Starrcade 93 - that would be tremendous. I figured the Old School shows would be 91/92 MSG shows and that's good since those are the characters I know from a nostalgia point of view. Shawn and Bret have their work cut out for them on those shows. The master version is almost always the one 24/7 airs, though I do notice the WCW PPVs often open with "Turner Home Entertainment", making me think it's from the home video, but I guess not. We'll find out soon. You'd think they'd just do the HOF profile on Flair, but I guess that would be overkill.
  14. Back to my Super Channel rant and it ruining The Movie Network's monopoly on films, there's a movie on right now called "Vampiro: Angel, Devil Hero". "Profiling Ian Hodgkinson, also known as the pro wrestler "El Vampiro Canadienese", in this documentary directed by Lee Demarbre (2008)". Never heard of that.
  15. This message isn't very coded. Though I initially assumed Fentz's source was a sleepy Honky Tonk Man spending the night on his couch, I now think it's JN News' MSN contact.
  16. My answer was a joke in reference to the same.
  17. This seems ripe for a General spin-off discussion.
  18. My mistake. I knew it was Dirty White Boy (which is why I found the dirty comment funny) but I typed the wrong name as I've been apt do do lately.
  19. The source was likely Wayne Ferris.
  20. The Raw on 24/7 right now introduces Tracey Smothers (who is referred to as "real dirty boy" or something like that made me laugh) as Uncle Cletus. I did not recall that stint at all. I remember Dutch Mantel as Uncle Zebekiah... but that was as Bradshaw's manager. Maybe I DID remember the Uncle Cletus character but had his name wrong.
  21. Pineapple Express and Step Brothers (and possibly Tropic Thunder) are movies I've seen that style of ad for.
  22. This would have been 1993 in Southern Ontario, before TSN picked the show up.
  23. If it was anything else, it probably would. Not terribly concerned with ECW's late slip. Back in the day I remember watching Monday Night Raw on SATURDAY afternoon on CHCH.
  24. I don't know if it's because I have DSL instead of cable (and Cogeco ads for cable internet often called DSL "half-speed internet") or just a lack of anything resembling a video card on my computer, but I have a difficult time watching the high quality videos without them just chugging along at a choppy pace. I still enjoy the service but I imagine I'd be wild about it if the Raw episodes streamed flawlessly for me in high quality.
